Chapter 200: Let Fate Decide
Amaris’s POV
"No, Caleb, you can't do this to me"
He closed his eyes briefly and then when he spur it open, hd narrowed his eyes at me and then sighed.
"Stop making me feel like I'm taunting you amaris, it's time to let go, and if you truly love me, you want what to see me happy"
I scoffed unbelievably as his words only provokes me the more. Everything he talks about revolves around mia like she owns his world.
What about me? Like I do not exist again.
"I'm not giving up my son for you, Caleb, and the only way you can have access to him is if we get back together" I declared, glaring at him and he gnashed his teeth.
"What? You can't propose such just because you want us to get back"
"Of course I can, after all, I'm his legal parent" I snapped fuming at him and taking the glass juice to drink.
He grunt and then thud his hands on the table.
"Fine, you can have him but that doesn't mean I won't take care of him and send him my own share of child funding..."
As he speaks, I got irritated, anger and just want to burn mia. What has she done to him.
He wasn't even going to fight for his son but wants him to stay with him. How despicable.
"What do you expect Aaron to think of you"
"Does he even know I exist because from the looks of it, he believes Flynn is his father, com'on amaris don't use the poor kid to blackmail me" he asserts with no emotions while peering into my eyes.
He was really into mia and I could see that no one can separate them. What if for the past five years, they've been seeing each other.
Now it explains why she didn't want to marry her ex whom she broke up with.
"So how long have you even met the woman you're fighting for, how much do you even know her? Huh?" I snapped getting frustrated because nothing of what I'd say seems to be convincing him enough to come back to me.
"That doesn't matter amaris, stop meddling into our affairs" he fired back and I scoffed while drinking the last gulp from the glass.
I wasn't myself, I couldn't breath as I had stopped crying. Does he think I'd let him go? After everything we've been together.
"You know I can take my son away from you right? I just don't want to seem heartless and want you to have someone by your side...you can be a family friend too, just give up on me amaris" he concluded and there was a sudden silence between us.
I can't believe we really came to an end 5 years ago, and now that we are meeting again, it wasn't on good terms.
I folded my lips as I watched him stand up, he wasn't saying anything again and I just sat down depressed watching time move and fly pass me.
I stood up from where I sat and almost intended to leave when I suddenly saw Caleb running pass me.
He was on a phone call.
"I can't find her" he muffled and like a flash, he vanished from my presence.
Mia must be missing. Indeed, fate was playing fair now and I hope he never finds her.
I took my back, straightened my shoulders and catwalked outside. No one can separate us and mia knew the assignment.
She must have stow away while we were busy discussing. I could see Caleb now, driving wildly out of the compound.
He didn't even care if I was still around but because he wants to see her again, he was willing to go miles.
If he isn't ending up with me, then there would be no one else.
I heaved a sigh and boarded a cab to my house. I have moved out of Flynn's mansion with my son.
He isn't worth me, although he had refused to sign the divorce paper but I won't let him come close.
Arriving home, I found Flynn waiting for me inside. Aaron was sitting opposite him, taking a bowl of ice-cream that hd bought.
Annoyingly, I sent aaron inside his room and he did so with the bowl of ice-cream.
"I guess you stalked me down here!" I barked glaring at him.
Today was just a hectic day for me and the sight of him makes him hate everything.
"Amaris, please, I never meant to hurt you..."
"Oh! Great that's why you fucked mia huh and those petty girls huh?" I brawled fuming at him.
"Please keep your voice down" he muttered trying to hold me but I shoved his hand away from me.
"I promise I'm different now, I'm so sorry, it's never going to happen again"
"Yes it will, people don't change easily, cheating is a part of you already" I retorts frustrated and trying to gain my breath.
"Please, don't do this to me amaris, how about our son?"
"My son! He belongs to Caleb not you!" I snarled moving away from him and sitting on the couch close to me.
He followed me and went on his knees, his hand held mine as he stared at me in the eyes.
"Please, amaris, give me a chance, I'd try to make it up, I can't live without you"
"Yes you can live, so go fuck all those whore" I mused throwing his hands away from mine.
The thought of Caleb's heart break still lingers in my heart and Flynn was making it worst.
"Amaris, I won't give up on you, I promise if I mess up again...you can end things for good..."
"Nothing of what you say would make me come back to you, so just give up, don't make me do something worst than this"
I yelled at him while standing to avoid him. He had grown sober as his breath was short.
"That includes you not coming close to my son Flynn, it's over for good"
