Chapter 204: All I want is you
Caleb's POV
At first, I never wanted to be part of the story, I didn't want to exist but when I saw her, she was the first to make me curious about my past.
The first to make me stalk anyone and her clumsy expression, her smile, her sweet seduction and how open she was to talking about her past.
Only fragments keeps coming but it had the memory of one...amaris and I wish she'd take away that memory and fill it with her memories.
Even if it were for a little while, it was beautiful with her and I keep wanting her more than I want anyone.
I don't want to lose her. I haven't forgotten amaris, but sometimes, life goes on.
She has Flynn and maybe he must have hurt her and I'd help her stay away from him but coming back is different.
I was sure of it, it's Mia I want and no one else. At last after looking for her at every metro station, bus stops, bar and beaches, places that I felt she might be, I was here at the airport.
I wasn't myself, I needed to breath that would happen if I find her. I race inside the terminal looking all battered like I just survived a war.
My eyes scanned the passengers, my heart wait for a sigh, to see her but it was quite rowdy here and the sight of her can't be seen.
I lost amaris but I don't want to lose Mia again.
I was almost giving up when my eyes spotted a lady with a newspaper high up to her face.
Mia.
She has drew down the news paper and stood up from where she sat to hold on to her luggage.
A flight attendant was already announcing the departure of the plane. I drew in a long breath and when she raised her head, I turned to my heels.
Nothing of what I'd say would bring her back or make her come to me.
I'd be stopping the plane from going up. The sight of her made my heart thuds, the air I couldn't breath, I could feel it now.
Why is she always thinking about others not herself? Why is she always the one to make the sacrifice?
I bite my lips intending to move towards the security agent and inform them that there was a terrorist on the plane when I suddenly saw her running outside the terminal with her luggage.
She seems frighten and scared and when I tried to understand what was happening, I suddenly spotted some men in dark suits chasing after her.
They weren't my men neither do I know who they belong to. Probably Durrell. I turned to my heel chasing after her too.
Once she was outside the airport, she intended to board a cab. However, with every strength I could muster up, I tried to overshadow the men and got to her.
"Mia" I called and she turned around to look at me, a soft sigh escaped her lips.
I had tears in my eyes as I grabbed her wrist not wanting to start a speech that might never end.
Her life must be in danger. Quickly, I took her to the parking lot, just so we could get inside my car.
She was still shocked that I found her but wouldn't say anything.
Once I saw it that she had fasten her seatbelt, I took a turn, almost driving away from this spot when one of the men used a fist to smash my windscreen.
"Do you have a gun?" She suddenly requested and I stared puzzled at her as though she was an alien.
"I should, Shawn left his a few days back in my car" i narrated as I held firm to the steering wheel struggling to drive away.
I didn't look her way but then my blood dried up when I heard gun shot and I realized it was from her.
She has shot the two men at my window and the one in front of me like a flash and then stick her body back inside the car.
"Drive" she ordered and I nodded while mounting on the break to start a ride.
My sleek sedan hurtled down the asphalt, the tires screeching as I took a sharp turn desperate to shake off the pursuers.
Behind us were a convoy of black SUVs closed in, their engine roaring like beast.
I shifted my gaze to her as she was running out of bullets and panicking.
"Who could they be?" I questioned tensed and then one of the SUV rammed into my bumper, sending my car fishtailing Cross the lane.
Mia slammed her head on the headrest and held the hand hold beside her while growling.
"Are you alright?" I questioned trying to see if there was an scratch on her.
My knuckles were white as I gripped the wheel, my eyes fixed on the road ahead.
"I don't know Bryan, it could be durrell"
I ended up smiling when she called me Bryan. Let her keep calling me that and I don't mind.
I just needed to protect her. The SUVs swarmed around us, their doors scraping against my sedan's paintwork, leaving trails of sparks and shredded metal in their wake.
They weren't shooting at us which could possibly mean, they don't want to harm Mia but take her away.
That's definitely Durrell. I haven't really seen him neither was I able to trace him but I'm not letting him take Mia from me, it was over for them years ago.
"Bryan, I think you should let me go, that way you won't be hurt" she pressed on holding a fistful of my shirt.
One vehicle clipped my rear quarter panel, sending the sedan into a spin. I counter-steered, my heart racing as I regained control.
"I'm not Mia, you're staying with me"
"I can't" she cried and her breath was slow and deliberate.
"Maybe, amaris didn't tell you I'm possessive, once I set my eyes on someone, I never take my eyes off that person"
