Chapter 93: Where's Amaris?
Caleb's POV
I stared blankly at the sky, it was a starry night but one which burns my heart. My eyes lowered at the sea, the waves, crashing and reeling up and then down to my bare feet.
I had taken off my shoe, feeling so weak and exhausted. My heart felt broken as I couldn't think of anything else.
I folded my lips, my hands in the pockets as I reminisce over the few hours I spent over at Kiara's house.
Tension heats up inside of me as my whole body shook. I'd vow to keep it to myself, I can't afford to lose amaris.
She'd never know and I don't mind eliminating anyone who knows the truth.
I took out one of my hand from the pocket and ruffled my hair, growling and lost for words.
I couldn't go home immediately because I can't face her. My biggest obstacle was Kiara.
She literally knows everything about me but threatening her to stay away placed a stop to her action...but not for long.
Perhaps, I should order her death. However, it's not really that easy because I've made her rise so high that she could actually challenge me.
Nothing was going my way and that was perturbing.
"Arghh!" A roar left my mouth as I kicked the moist sand underneath my feet. The wedding must go on and amaris is mine.
After spending a while on the island and I made a turn, to return home.
Driving home took me like forever because I just didn't know how to face amaris.
This would make her hate me the more but then, she'd never know. Arriving home, I wished to see her, to cuddle her and feel her unwaivering warmth.
I parked the car in the garage, got out with some gifts which were for her and hurriedly stride into the house.
"Amaris?" I called, noticing that I wasn't hearing her voice or complains. At first, I thought she was somewhere around the house.
I went on a tour around the house, calling out to her, lazily and wincing as my head throbs with the whole shenanigans I had with Kiara.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find her and I was troubled. Hastily, I returned to her room again, searching everywhere for her not until my eyes met a note on the bed.
What's with ladies and writing in a note!
Hurriedly, I picked the notice and read;
"Don't look for me...I'm gone and find a substitute, it works all the time, your wealth can buy you a girl"
I was silent, my eyes dull as my heart stopped for a moment. I should be mad but then, I only stared plainly again and fell on her bed.
I needed someone right that moment, to tell me, it would be fine and I wasn't alone.
How did she get out without my notice? I inhaled deeply, staring at the door. She'd be at her house or at kian's place again!
I rose up feebly and dialed her contact but it was switched off. Quickly, I gave orders to some of my men to search her house and that of Kian.
Oddly enough, she wasn't there and every area I told them to specifically search for her was frutile. Amaris was gone!
She can't live without me, I own her! I kicked my legs on the wall, scattering everything in her room and panting heavily.
Nothing was going as planned. I folded my lips, feeling an ache arrow my chest.
I couldn't even scream or breath. I fucking need her.
I stormed out of the room, to try and find her myself, even if it means searching every airport, train stations and bus stops.
She can't get away from me. I called Kiara just to sure if she haven't perperated this very act.
What if she was abducted? I couldn't reach Kiara too and angrily, I drove back to her house, carrying a gun with me.
I barged into her house and I found her arrow the balcony as though expecting me to return.
"Oh, missing me already, we were meant to be..."
Before she could complete her statement, I shot a bullet in the air, yelling but she seems unmoved by that.
"Where's amaris!" I questioned fusing in my heart and trying to breath.
"What?" She exclaimed looking confused and not wanting to be moved by that stare of her, I fired at her and the bullet flew pass her, shattering the glass behind her.
"Shit!" She screeches, shuddering and bending low.
"I'm not with amaris!" Kiara responded trying to question me if something was wrong with me.
However, I couldn't believe her words because she would be the first to want my wedding cancelled.
I drew closer to her, grabbed a fistful of her hair and made her stand upright to look at me in the eyes.
"I won't ask again! Where's amaris!" I barked as she smiled broadly and said;
"I wish you never find her and come back to me"
Her words only makes her a prime suspect, furiously, I rammed her face on the pillar close by and she cried.
"You're hurting me Caleb!" She roared, trying to writhe out of my hold.
"Give me amaris now!" I roared hitting her head on the pillar again.
"Stop! Caleb, I'm not with amaris! How would I do that within the few hours of us being together!" She responded, panting. Her head hung low and I raised it up to face me.
Blood drools down from her head as sweat beads on her face. She was wincing from the pain.
I let go of her hair, gasped and scrolled my eyes around. Kiara fell to the ground and I heard her soft gasp.
"I still love this side of you and i'm willing to endure it, would she survive your anger? Huh? It's best she goes" she snapped trying to rise from the ground yet she couldn't stand.
She was pissing me off with that intense gaze at me, even though she's in grave pain.
I stretched my hand at her and she grabbed it, while standing up. My eyes scruntized her.
If she took amaris, she would have openly said so and set up a trap for me that I wouldn't even be able to reach her.
I assume so.
"It's just a warning that I'd do anything for amaris, so keep your mouth shut! Or the next time, I won't miss my hit" I responded and let go of her hand while stowing away.
"Caleb!" Her voice called but I didn't reply because amaris is just who I want to get through to.
The search for her seems like never before as I had stationed my men to search every airport, train stations and bus stop, to find her but it was in vain.
Where is hell is amaris!
