Chapter 181: A lovely night
Mia’s POV
He scoffed at me and I could see he was trying to control his laughter.
"What's wrong?" I questioned with a frown and rising from the couch but he pulled me to sit beside him.
However, I accidentally fell on him and our lips touched. His arms were on my waist and my body glued to him.
Our heartbeat sync and I lost my breath.
I widened my eyes, screamed at heart and rolled over to the other side of the couch.
"We are not done talking" he furthers and then fluttered his eyes at me as though nothing happened.
I rubbed my lips, shivering and sweating, I moved aside from him.
"You could have just made me stop" i whispered tensed and then shy.
He smirked at me and then rose up.
"Do you want to see the night sky?"
"No"
"Yes" he whispers and then stretched his hand to me. His eyes sparkles and I bite my lips.
It's just for tonight. I took his hand and he swirl me gently aside. His free hand reached for the bottle of champagne on a table and then he gestured to me to use my free hand to take the glasses which I did.
We walked towards the large balcony where a round table awaits us. The atmosphere was pleasing with the mild wind blew our skin and I could see the lights from skyscrapers that formed a beguiling arena.
I let go of his hand and ran to cling on the rail of the balcony, smiling.
"I can see the whole city from here!" I yelled spreading my arms like wings and chuckling.
"It interest you?"
"It's beautiful!" I screamed jumping.
"Really?" He whispers drawing closer to me.
"Yeah, just act the way I do, feel the moment Bryan" I responded with closer eyes.
And I felt his presence behind me, his arms spread further to mine, he was so close that my skin tingles, his breath fanned my neck and my back resting against his chest.
I quivered but then stayed still not opening my eyes. The moment was magical and I just wished to remain this way.
"It's mesmerizing" he said, resting his jaw on my head and bringing my hand down with his.
"Yeah" I responded with a soft sigh and then folded my lips.
He moved away from me, and then paced towards were the champagne stood, filled two glasses and returned to where I was with the glasses.
"Thanks" i responded when he handed me one. He was so different and it makes me freak out.
I could tell a number of times when amaris keeps telling me Caleb isn't romantic and keeps hurting her.
Maybe he should stay as Bryan, that way he won't hurt her. I just hope so that he doesn't look at other but just one.
Now, it's my duty to unite them, I guess so but that's if I find out more about Flynn is he is really cheating on amaris.
"Toss to an annoying, yet beautiful and mind-blowing lady"
I grimanced at him as he raised his glass with a sided smile at me. He was beauty itself.
"Toss to a weird freak yet charming and breathtaking gentleman" I whispered beneath my breath as I was lost in his eyes.
We drank from the glass and I complimented the champagne.
"To add a little topping, let's dance" i suggested swirling the cup in the air.
"Com'on, that's ridiculous"
"No, I followed you down here so grant my request"
"Mia"
I placed my finger on his lips and then winked at him. He was speechless as I took his glass from him, cartwalked to placed them back on the table and then took his hands.
"Just watch my step, it's going to be fun" I teased and pulled a frown.
"How are you this alluring?"
"It's my charm" i responded and then we chuckled. I placed one hand his shoulder blade and the other, I held his hand high.
He placed his free hand on my waist and then inhaled.
"Just follow my lead" i assured with a bright smile and then ordered Alexa to play the music.
It was a solemn uplifting music and I directed him as though we were on the dance floor.
Our legs moved in rhythm and we were laughing, swirling until I got exhausted and fell on him.
He held me firmly as I slammed my head his chest.
"What do you think?" I asked panting heavily as I could feel his heart beat again.
"Fun, I guess" he responded and then I tilted my face to look at me. We were lost in each other eyes, speechless and filled with emotions.
He leaned his face closer to mine almost kissing me but I shoved my face aside and then pushed him mildly.
"Goodnight Bryan"
His name, I just don't have to make mistakes referring to him as Caleb or it might raise his suspicions.
"It's still early..."
"I love to sleep early, you may leave" i responded breathing softly and biting my lower lips.
He kept staring at me and I looked away.
"You're staring"
"Because the view is better in your eyes Mia" he whispers, stomping closer to me and slammed his lips on mine.
I pushed him back, and then ran back inside, closing the balcony door and breathing so hard.
I shook my head moving to the bed and then climbed it. He kept knocking on the door but didn't want to respond, he could use another route to get to his room.
I covered myself with the blanket, shivering under it and begging amaris to forgive me because I'm stucked with the men she loves.
I closed my eyes restless on the bed, maybe I should just end this. She's going to hate me when she realizes I'm with Caleb.
I can just run away, he can't find me, possibly when he wants to ask of me, he'd meet amaris.
And boom, the memories comes in. But then I have to protect him from Flynn.
