Chapter 198: Spending time with him
Mia’s POV
"I'm sorry...I was just lost, I didn't mean to pry" I apologized in between my teeth as a strand of tear dropped from my eyes.
He turned around to face his screen. I grit my teeth and then just turned to my heel to leave.
"Join me pretty godmother, it would be fun with you here" he said in an excited tone. I paused and without hesitation, I stride to where he was.
"Don't you think you should be resting? You just came back from a race..."
"Argh not another mom lectures please" he growl and then giggled at me while I rolled my eyes.
"It's just me and you, mia" he furthered and I took a seat to sit beside him.
"Okay, just this one time" I snapped and he grinned at me.

We played for a while until I watch him fall asleep. I placed his head gently on my shoulder, staring at him and rubbing his head.
"I guess I finally found Cinderella" Caleb whispered and I beckoned on him to keep it down.
He apologizes and then creeped closer to me.
"I assumed you'd be here and so told those two not to worry about you" he furthers and assisted me to carry Karl to his room.
"I stumbled here" I responded pacing after him. Once he got to Karl's room, he gently placed him on the bed while I used a pillow to keep his head straight.
He coil himself into a ball, sleeping like a child that he was.
I kissed him on the forehead with tears in my eyes and said;
"I'm sorry"
I shifted my gaze at Caleb who spread his arms for an embrace and fell into his arms sobbing while he kissed me and stroke my back.
"We'd get over it together" he assured heaving a sigh.

It was getting late and we had to leave. Shawn and his wife bide us goodbye as Caleb's chauffeur droved to pick us up.
I was quiet and drowsy and had to place my head on Caleb's thighs for comfort while he massages my head.
At least I got to see my son and another chance I'd get with him would certainly be three days from now.
Then I can vanish from Caleb's life. We finally arrived at Caleb's suite and I felt exhausted and weary.
"Thank you"
That was the first thing I said to him once we got to the pavement. He smiled at me.
"It's nothing, anything for you mia" he responded, his eyes glistens as he intended to walk inside but then I held his hand, shoved him gently to face me and then stole a kiss from him.
"Goodnight Mr stalker"
I whispered, feeling shy and then wanting to creep inside but he obstructed me.
"Do you think I'd let you go after this?"
He muttered deeply, drew closer to me and bent me slightly to a side as though it was the end of a ball dance.
Then he leaned his lips closely to mine and part my lips mildly, devouring my mouth that I couldn't breath.
His one hand held the small of my back while his other hand held mine high up.
Then slowly, he pulled me up and terminated the kiss.
"Goodnight miss stalker" he teased and I found myself stuttering while walking pass him.
I didn't even want to turn back because I was running to my room giggling and still mesmerized by that kiss.
I locked myself and jumped on my bed, smiling sheepishly to myself. When the memories of Karl came knocking, my smile faded away.
I just don't know when I'd be able to muster up courage to say the truth but eventually, I have to let them know.
Even if I'm not taking him back, he shouldn't be left in the dark.

It's morning now and Caleb had woken me up for a morning drill and then we hit the gym.
According to him, he just wants to show off that he has me and not a single freak that they think he is.
We joked and he couldn't help but laugh at how weird I was exercising and showing off some moves.
I felt like passing out at some points and Caleb had to stop too. After a while, he headed for the suite.
He was showing me around like it was a kind of tour and I could tell he was quite popular around here.
Once we got to the gate of the suite, I dried up at who I saw. My heart thuds and even Caleb's smile faded away.
"Hello, Caleb" her voice echoes and I drew in a long breath.
"Hello amaris" I responded while pacing closer to her.
Caleb was quiet as he glanced at me and then back at amaris.
"Is there a problem?" He asked but I could see her eyes lurch at him and then I threw a firece glare at me.
"I'm just here to apologize on how I behaved with mia and tell you the truth" she announces beneath her breath.
She was holding her bag stripe tightly. Caleb avoided her gaze as he tugged his hands in his pockets.
"I don't need to here anything from you neither are you welcome in my suite..."
"Let's go inside amaris" I cut in faking a smile and walking ahead of them.
I heard Caleb scoffed and then I turned to look at them, they were staring at each other.
Amaris was inside with us and at the balcony with Caleb who acted like a menace to her.
I served her mixed fruit juice and intended to walk out on them but Caleb insisted I stay back.
However this was a private talk and amaris really needed to get somethings straight with him.
"I'm sorry, but I've got something doing, an online meeting" I snapped and just as Caleb was about to say something else, I stride fast and away from them.
Whatever it is they were to discuss, I know it would break me and I shouldn't be involved.
