Chapter 180: More about you
Mia’s POV
Did he just say that?
"What!" I brawl shaking my head at him and trying to keep calm because this was insane.
"I love him!"
"Great, have him pay your debts then because from what I know he is cheating on you"
"What!!!" I screamed as the ring accidentally fell off my hand. I was startled as Caleb keeps taking me by surprise.
"That's a lie, you don't even know him!" I fired. His lips curved upward in a quirk smile as he took a calculative step closer to me.
I kept moving backward until my back rammed on the wall and I was staring into his eyes.
He was just an inche close and his face was brighter than expected.
His breath lingered all over my face and I forgot how to breath.
"When I dig, I dig up really deep"
"You're the stalker here" I said barely recognize my voice as his intense gaze fry my skin and makes my brain coil.
"You made me do it"
"What! You're lying I don't believe whatever you say, my fiance loves me" I defended pushing him back and trying not to sob.
"I'm the one who cheated on him" I confessed rubbing my forehead and feeling dizzy.
Caleb was relaxed as he heaved a sigh and widened his eyes.
"That's quite huge" he confessed and suddenly moved away from me. He took his phone and then shoved a picture to my face.
I could see my fiance kissing someone else, there were photos of him being naked too with ladies around him.
I covered my mouth, feeling bad and weak. Here I was dying and hating myself that I cheated with Flynn but he was doing worst.
I burst into tears and Caleb was just watching.
"How did you get this?" I questioned with teary eyes and choked voice.
Caleb moved closer and suddenly embraced me. I buried my head on his broad chest sobbing the more.
"I intended to use it against you though" he whispers and then stroke my back gently while I whimpered.
"You're salvage"
"I know Ms stalker" he responded and then squeezed me the more in his arms.
It took a while for me to get out of the heartbreak. Caleb made me sit on the couch.
It really hurts being cheated on and I do not intend to do that ever.
He gave me a bottle water, just as how amaris always does when I fell sober. I guess he learnt from her.
I took it from him and appreciated it.
"You should stop digging up about me Mr stalker, you're creeping me out and make me feel like..."
"I want you?"
He completed and then licked his lower lips while crossing his legs.
"I feel we've met before, possibly, somewhere" he whispered staring into my eyes.
"What happened to you?" I asked twirling the water in my hand around and exhaling softly.
"I sorry for intruding but since we stalk each other, we shouldn't keep secrets right?"
He chuckled at me and the crossed his arm over the couch while staring at me.
"It seems you're bad at stalking then"
I rolled my eyes and then smiled while leaning closely to him.
"I really don't know about my past, I got involved in an accident so to say because my parents found me by the river bank unconscious" he muttered with so much emotions in his tone.
All I knew was that he went for his treatment and we never heard of him. Only his memory can tell.
I placed my hands on his chest and folded my lips, he was pained that he couldn't recall his memory.
"To be sincere, I really followed you because I feel you know me from somewhere"
I swallowed hard, drawing my hand from his chest but then he placed it back on his chest, his face lean closely to mine.
It felt as though we were about to kiss in that position and I shivered.
"You know me don't you Mia"
The emphasis he laid on my name, it was enthralling like he awaken something in me.
"I don't" I whispered beneath my breath, our eyes fixed and my heart thuds.
"The first time we met, you called me a name and you looked so serious"
I closed my eyes shook my head and pulled away from him but he grabbed me by the collar and hauled me closer to him, his eyes still searching.
"Do I remind you of someone?"
"But you're not the person, I just mistook you for a friend because I was drunk that day" I quickly lied rolling my eyes to and fro.
"Are you being sincere?" He whispered, his eyes danced in his sockets and I grit my teeth while nodding.
I felt bad for lying, bad for making him feel this way. If I tell him about himself, he might go after amaris and then claim her and his child.
Then she'd be free from the cheating Flynn. If I want to write this story, I'd have to make her meet Caleb, then expose Flynn cheating habit just so she'd run to Caleb and cry.
Or expose Flynn first and in her depressed state, she'd meet Caleb. I don't even know what to do because a wedding is coming up.
I don't want to get married to a man who amaris loves more than anything even though he is dead, she still thinks of him.
I don't want her to meet him yet or she might tell Flynn and I suspect Flynn would want to get rid of him.
I squeezed my lips.
"Are you thinking of another lie? Possibly how to run away"
"I wish I could, not when you have everything possible to keep me here" I replied almost immediately after realizing I was just staring at him for minutes.
"Let's just say it's modern abduction" he said in a sweet tone that I shock my head.
"Don't get yourself worked up, I'm just curious" he mutters letting go of my collar while his eyes lowered at me.
"I'd try" I whispered, exhaling softly and then folding my fingers together
