Chapter 185: Saving her

Amaris's POV

"Yes I did and it's kind of complicated..."

"Oh you found a wealthy man that's only enough to be your father and the guy I saw in your room must be his son who you fuck around with!"

She widened her eyes at me and folded her fist today, embittered by my words.

"How could you? Huh, do you even see any good in me?"

"I'm only telling you the truth, you should stop this life mia, it won't lead you anywhere" i advised pissed off. She rubbed her forehead and then glared at me.

"All I do everyday is try to look out for you, is there a day you don't rub a past on my face!"

"I'm trying to protect my husband and kid from you, I know you Mia, you seduce people husband!"

"Stop it amaris!" She yelled crying and fuming at me. I know it's her trick to act emotionally but it's time to tell her the truth.

If I keep telling her the truth, she might change and live up the good life but she'd never change.

Each time she does this, I'm the one affected because the women taunts me since she's a friend and I don't want my image tarnished again.

"Let's be realistic, if you have a kid, what would you even inculcate on their life?"

"I said stop it, you're so cruel..."

"I'm not, when you realize that you're wrong, them you can come home but rich men should snarl away from you!"

She was suddenly breathing hard, covering her eyes and sobbing.

"Please stop!"

I scoffed and then fluttered my eyes.

"You're robbing off a rich man and his kid, what if you lose your life?"

"That's enough!" A cold voice fired and I froze for a moment.

Slowly, I turned around to see who it was and it turns out to be, him.

Mia's POV
I pant heavily but then when he appeared, I couldn't tell why but I felt secured and hide behind him.

I swallowed hard, not minding he was Caleb but I should be bothered.

He drew down the nose mask on him, glaring at her.

"Don't you dare call her that or say that to her, you should be grateful you had someone like, if you're all that righteous..."

"Bryan!" I screamed as though the world was crashing that moment. He shifted his gaze at me and there was nothing hiding him, just his hair which covered his eyes.

Damn it. He shouldn't have intervened.

Hastily, I came in between them, spreading my arms and swallowing hard.

Amaris jaw dropped as her eyes widened at the sight of me. I could see tears in them as her breath came in short.

Her hands were trembling. I didn't look back at Caleb's reaction.

"Caleb?" Her voice whispers. My heart stopped beating, she had seen his face and I never meant for them to meet this way.

"It's time for you to leave..."

I couldn't complete my statement when she shoved me aside to see a clearer picture of him.

"Caleb?" She called again almost touching his face but he shoved her hand away and held my hand.

Amaris couldn't utter a word.

"I can explain"

She scoffed, shook her head and then ran her slender fingers through her hair. "He isn't real is he?"

I shook my head again but then Caleb shoved me to his side and then looked at amaris in the eyes.

"It's time for you to leave" he snapped and then began to pace with me towards the house.

I turned around to face amaris and shook my head but she was frozen. I tried to break out of his hold but he was annoyed.

"Let me go!" I ordered breaking out of his hold and breathing hard.

"What part of stay hidden did you not hear?"

"I can't stay still when she says horrible things to you!" He retorts with anger in his eyes.

"She's right and only trying to make me realize the truth"

"Shut up Mia, you can't accept what others say about you"

"You don't even know me!" I barked trying to peep at amaris but it seems she had gone.

Goosebumps held me as I walked pass him but he obstructed my path and then exhaled.

"I don't need to know it, you're hurt so why do you hide it?" He muttered, his voice becoming calm and I ended up looking into his eyes.

He was concerned, had this painful look as though I was the only thing that matters.

"Stop interfering in everything! Fuck off" I yelled suddenly crying as he just ruined everything.

What would amaris think of me, that I was keeping Caleb away from her. I could still feel her near, the shock, the fear and uncertainty that she was staring at him.

However, he was too focused on me that he didn't even notice.

"I'm going nowhere, you belong to me now and everything about you involves me"

His declaration interrupted me and I fluttered my lashes as his palm wipe off my tears mildly.

"Bryan, I'm sorry but there just can't be us, if it's about the debt which you used to tie me down...I can pay that myself, I also accept stalking you..."

I haven't complete my statement when he pulled me closer to him and began to part my lips with his.

I was glued to him, widening my eyes unbelievably.

"You're mine ever since I laid my eyes on you" he whispers and I swallowed, my grip on his arm stiffen and i pant softly.

This would be hard but now, I have to unite him and amaris. I don't have to be the third wheel, I don't have to come in between.

I pushed him away, my heart flustered, my cheeks blushes but I placed a frown.

He had that hurtful look at me, his lips still swollen with his kiss, why couldn't he stay inside.

He just sent away his lover whom he cherishes more than anything. I wish we never met.

Hurriedly, I ran to my room to get my phone and call amaris because she would definitely be traumatized.

Unfortunately, she wasn't replying and I couldn't track her down. I turned around to take my leave but Caleb was already in my room.

"I can help with something Mia, just tell me what it is"

"No! Don't make it worst!" I snapped growling and beckoning on him to move.

He did so and when I drew closer to him, I exhaled and said;

"Don't follow me Bryan...please"

I walked out on him and rushed out to find amaris. I'm the worst friend ever. How could I have done this to her?
