Chapter 19: Shut The Gate

The comfort that Lendon gave her earlier help her a lot. Kendra looked down and saw Lendon's hand still on her belly. However, Kendra wanted to pee, so she had to push him away.
As soon as Kendra moved, Lendon opened his eyes.
"What are you doing?" Lendon asked.
"I need to go to the bathroom," Kendra calmly answered.
"Don't go. Lay back." Lendon said. He was not in a good mood because Kendra woke him up. He held Kendra and closed his eyes again.
"No, I really need to go," Kendra struggled. She really couldn't control it.
"God, you are so annoying," Lendon said impatiently. He turned around and loosened Kendra.
Kendra felt relieved and got up. She went to the bathroom quietly. When she walked out, she noticed it was already three in the morning.
Kendra felt a little hungry. She didn't want to interrupt Lendon's sleep, so she walked out quietly.
The lights on the castle were all on. A few servants were on duty.
Kendra found her way to the kitchen. She never came here before. It was a big kitchen with several expensive cookware. Kendra opened a refrigerator and saw various food, feeling perplexed. She hadn't eaten anything for hours, and she felt so hungry now. Kendra rubbed her belly and could clearly feel that her pain eased, so she decided to eat something.
"I will have some noodles," Kendra thought. She found some vegetables, eggs, and noodles to cook her late dinner.
"What are you doing?" Lendon suddenly appeared and asked.
Kendra was frightened and almost dropped the bowl she was holding. She turned around and saw Lendon leaning against the wall. He crossed his arms on his chest. His hair was missy, but he still looks handsome as usual.
"I am hungry, so I want to eat something." Kendra put her bowl on a table and softly asked him, "Did you have dinner? Do you want to have some noodles?"
Lendon looked at the noodles and asked, "Are you sure?" He never ate things like it before. It didn't look nice.
"Never mind," Kendra said. She ignored Lendon and started preparing the noodles. Lendon just looked at her every move.
After a while, the noodles were ready.
"So delicious!" She smiled.
"Can I have some?" Lendon frowned and asked, walking towards the dining table.
"You said you don't want it," Frowning, Kendra said immediately.
Lendon sat down opposite Kendra and glared at her. "I want it!" He abruptly said.
"Childish!" she murmured. Lendon heard it, but he intentionally ignored her.
Kendra stood up and went to cook for Lendon. After half an hour, she came back and saw her bowl empty.
"Where are my noodles?" Kendra asked.
"I ate them." Lendon wiped his mouth and said delightedly.
Kendra was so speechless. "But it's mine." She retorted. What was he thinking while devouring her noodles? He obviously saw that she hadn't eaten yet. Did he feel better?
"It's okay. Taste not bad at all. Anyway, we kissed before and having your bowl was like kissing you again," Lendon winked.
"Fine, I will have this one." Kendra shrugged and said.
"Wait!" Lendon said and took the bowl from Kendra's hands.
He sat back in his chair, and he started eating right away.
"That's mine," Kendra said unbelievably.
"I am still hungry. Cook for another one," Lendon ignored her. He sounded just like a naughty boy.
Annoyed, Kendra stared at Lendon and felt so helpless. Never mind, she shouldn't be angry with him since he helped her earlier.
After a while, Lendon finished his noodles and stood up. He walked to Kendra and patted her shoulder happily. "It was good, honey." He said.
Kendra smiled and said, "Mr. Martin, please pay me 2000 dollars."
"What?! Why is it so expensive?" Lendon asked confusedly.
"I cooked two bowls of noodles. According to the salary of your chef, 2000 dollars is reasonable." Kendra stretched her hand to Lendon and said.
2000 dollars? These must be the most expensive noodles he ever had! "You want me to pay for it?" Lendon narrowed his eyes and walked closer to her. The air between them suddenly became suffocating. Kendra wanted to step back but had no way to do it. She wanted to charge Lendon for having her noodles.
"You have already eaten it. I don't think you can't afford it. After all, you are rich and generous." Kendra smiled and still stretched her tiny hand to him. Now that she praised him, Lendon had no reason to refuse her demand. She was so clever! Kendra gave her sweetest smile and looked at Lendon seductively. Who told him to eat her noodles? He must regret it now.
Lendon stared at Kendra, and a naughty thought formed his head. Good, she dared to blackmail him now.
The next seconds, when Kendra smiled happily, Lendon suddenly held her waist and bent over to kiss her. He forced Kendra to open her mouth and accept his tongue. He wanted to punish her.
Lendon's abrupt kiss surprised Kendra, and she didn't know how to react. She could only stare at Lendon's handsome face, who's now claiming her lips.
After a while, Lendon left Kendra's lips happily. He stared at Kendra and said, "I will give you 5000 dollars, and you've got the extra reward, my warm kiss a while ago. Curtis will give the money to you tomorrow." Then, he laughed and strode.
Kendra was still in a panic, and it took a few seconds for her to snap back to reality.
"Lendon, you're crazy. Who wants your disgusting kiss!" She roared.
"C'mon, you love it, just admit it, honey," Lendon's voice came again even he's already far from her.
Kendra couldn't believe what she heard. She had no choice but to cook another bowl of noodles for herself. Later, she went back to her room.
Kendra lay on her bed and counted how much she earned these days. In total, she had 5600 dollars quickly, and she still needed a huge amount of money to pay her debt. God, when could she make so much money? Lendon was a monster! How could he ask her to pay him so much money? Kendra grabbed her hair and felt anxious. What should she do? She couldn't stay here forever. She wanted to go abroad and keep her distance from the Miller family. If Alexis couldn't finish his test, she may not be able to leave forever. Lendon wouldn't help her leave here. No, she must pay her debt and find a way to get rid of the contract.
"I need to make money." Kendra encouraged herself, "I should find a part-time job. One day, I can leave here."
Since then, Kendra started quitting her lessons and went to do her part-time job. She felt so tired in the next few days, but as long as she thought that she could leave the castle earlier, she felt motivated. However, Kendra didn't know that Lendon didn't want her to come back so late.
It was already ten in the evening. Lendon finished his last virtual meeting and felt hungry.
"Curtis."
"My Lord, how can I help you?" Curtis came in and asked.
"Tell Kendra to cook something for me," Lendon said. He suddenly missed Kendra's noodles.
Curtis didn't answer Lendon right away.
"What?"
"Miss Miller hasn't come back yet," Curtis said.
Lendon looked at his watch and felt angry. "Did she came back late this past few days?" He asked coldly.
"Yes." Curtis nodded.
Lendon threw his pen on the ground and felt annoyed.
"Should I go to find her?" Curtis asked.
"No!" Lendon shouted. What was Kendra thinking about? How could she leave the castle so early and come back so late?
"Shut the gate. Don't let her come in tonight." Lendon said.
"My Lord…" Curtis wanted to say something.
Lendon glanced at Curtis and kicked the table. "You want to go against me?" He asked.
"No, I will shut the gate now," Curtis ran immediately.
