Chapter 75: When Did It Begin?

Kendra tried to control her temper. She lowered her head and remained silent. She tried her best not to burst into anger.
"Mom, calm down. Kendra just comes to see dad. No matter what happened, she is my sister." Bianca argued with her mother.
"Shut up! Bianca, go back to your room." Marga shouted.
"Mom!" Bianca tried to say something again, but Marga blocked her.
"I said go to your room!" Marga glared at her daughter, her eyes blazing with anger.
Bianca has no reason to stay. She gave a quick glance to Kendra, and her eyes were full of sympathy. After Bianca left, Marga glanced at Kendra and told her maid, "Go to the storage room and bring the garbage that we've kept for a long time."
Soon, the maid returned holding a box. Marga grabbed it and put it down in front of Kendra.
"It's your stuff. You can take it." Marga sat on a sofa, giving a scornful look.
Kendra opened the box and saw many photo albums. There were also things that her mom left for her. However, most of them were broken.
"Who did this?" Kendra was furious, seeing some of the stuff was damaged.
"You can go now." Marga stood up, cross her arms on her chest. She gave a mocking smile, then yawned and walked upstairs.
"You did it, did you? You broke my mom's stuff!" Kendra grabbed Marga's arm and shouted.
"So what?" Marga threw Kendra's hand away, "If Robert didn't tell me to keep it, I would have thrown them away a long time ago. Why should I keep this garbage for you? Now, do you have any problem?"
Kendra clenched her fists and felt so angry.
Marga sneered towards her and walked upstairs without looking back at Kendra.
"Marga, do you think no one knows what you did? You can't get away from your guilt." Kendra said before Marga disappeared.
Hearing Kendra's words, Marga stopped walking and felt shocked. She turned around to glare at Kendra and asked, "What are you talking about?"
"You know what I am saying. How did my mom die? How could you have my inheritance? I bet no one knew more clearly than you." Kendra said and stared at Marga like an envoy from hell.
Marga suddenly felt afraid, "Get out! You crazy bitch!"
"Don't get relaxed because one day, I will send you to hell." Kendra sneered and said, "I am leaving now." She held the box and walked out arrogantly.
Marga stared at Kendra and held the handrail tightly. Some tiny beads of sweat wet her forehead, and she barely stands still. She felt scared when she thought about what Kendra had said earlier.

After going back to the castle, Kendra went back to her room and took things out of the box. The dolls her mom bought her were dirty. The cup her mom gave her was broken. The clothes her mom made for her were cut into pieces. Everything was broken, and none of them was useful.
Kendra held the box and cried out. "Mom…" She sobbed as if she wanted to talk to her mother.
She remembered clearly what her mom said.
"Kendra, I bought some dolls for you. It will stay with you forever."
"My Kendra is so pretty. When you grow up, mom will design a wedding dress for you. Will you wear it and get married?"
"Kendra, you are so brilliant. I will buy you more delicious food when I come back."
Kendra recalled everything her mom said and felt so sorrowful. It was her fault for being so naive. She should have found the truth earlier. It was her fault.
"Where is Kendra?"
Suddenly, Kendra heard Lendon's voice. She picked things up quickly and put them back in the box under, slipped them under her bed. Then, she went to the bathroom to wash her face and came out.
"What are you doing?" Lendon walked in and asked. He happened to see Kendra walking out of the bathroom.
"Nothing." Kendra looked away because she feared that Lendon might notice something.
Lendon grabbed Kendra's arm and pulled her into his embrace. He stared at Kendra and frowned when he noticed something, "Did you cry?"
Kendra felt surprised. How did he know?
"Curtis said you went to the Miller house today. Did they offend you?" Lendon squinted at Kendra and asked.
"No." Kendra shook her head and said, "I just went there to install the interceptor. By the way, you haven't told me how to use it."
"Do you want to know?" Lendon rubbed her cheek and asked.
"Yes." Kendra quickly nodded.
"Kiss me," Lendon ordered, pointing to his lips.
Kendra sighed and held Lendon's neck, kissing him.
Lendon didn't close his eyes. Instead, he stared at Kendra and saw her getting close to him, smiling. Kendra's eyelashes trembled. Obviously, she was nervous. And honestly, she was not a good kisser.
After a while, Kendra felt that Lendon didn't have any reaction. So she opened her eyes and stepped back. It seemed that she could never please him.
However, when Kendra stepped back, Lendon frowned and held her waist tightly. He lowered his head and caught her lips, giving another sweet kiss to her.
Kendra grabbed Lendon's shoulders and leaned against his chest. She seemed to get used to Lendon's touch. When did it begin?
"You are not good at kissing, really," Lendon commented after a while.
"You know it now?" Kendra sneered.
"Naughty girl!" Lendon pinched Kendra's nose and then, he held Kendra's hand and led her out.
"Where are we going?" Kendra asked.
"Do you want to know how to use the interceptor? Let's go to the study room, and I will show you." Lendon continued dragging her hand.
After they went to the study room, Lendon opened his laptop and tapped something quickly. Soon, there was a window on the screen. Lendon clicked it and said, "Do you see what I did just now? You can find it on this laptop."
"I didn't get it." Kendra smiled awkwardly, quickly lowered her head. She's not really knowledgeable regarding technology.
He rolled his eyes, "You lack knowledge in advanced technology! It is simple." Lendon patted Kendra's head.
"I just can't." Kendra frowned and said.
"Give me your phone." Instead of arguing, Lendon asked for her phone.
Kendra took her phone out. Lendon connected Kendra's phone with his laptop and tapped something again. Then, he gave the phone back to Kendra.
"Okay, you can use it through your phone." Lendon declared.
"Wow!" Kendra was happy and checked her phone. Indeed, there was a new application installed.
"What on earth do you want to know about your stepmother?" Lendon looked at Kendra and asked confusedly, "Why don't you just let me help you?"
Kendra hesitated.
"You don't trust me?" Lendon smirked.
His voice sounded dangerous.
"No," Kendra quickly explained, "I don't have a specific direction yet. But if I need your help, I will tell you."
"What can I get for helping you?" Lendon suddenly smiled naughtily.
"What do you want?" She snorted. However, she regretted it immediately. What did Lendon want? Of course, just one thing. He wanted to have sex with her!
"I want..."
"Wait!" Kendra interrupted Lendon and begged, "Lendon, I don't feel well these days. Can you decrease the frequency of having sex?" She felt so tired. Before Alexis gave him those pills, Lendon could only kiss her. But now, he doesn't need to control his desire anymore.
Lendon knocked Kendra's head and asked, "What are you thinking about? Who do you think I am?"
Of course, you're like a gang, devouring your prey. Kendra wanted to utter her thoughts but chose to be silent.
"I want to go camping, and Curtis has chosen a place. So you need to go with me." Lendon held Kendra's hand and said excitedly.
"Go camping? Why do you want to go camping suddenly?" Kendra asked confusedly.
"None of your business!" Lendon glared at Kendra and said. Curtis told him that he needed to create more chances to stay with Kendra, so he came up with this idea. Curtis said it was not good to just stay at home.
"Okay." Kendra agreed. She could accept everything except sex.
A few days later, Kendra decided to check the interceptor. It should record something. Kendra opened the application on her phone and did as Lendon taught her. Soon, she heard Marga's voice.
"Robert, did Kendra come to see you?" It should be the day Kendra came to their house.
"Yes," Robert said. Obviously, he didn't want to talk anymore.
Marga closed the door and said, "Robert, Kendra said something to me. I think she may know what happened that year." Her voice sounded terrified.
"What are you talking about?" Robert asked.
"Yolanda, of course!" Marga hastily answered.
"What?" Robert asked in a panic. Kendra bit her lips and felt desperate. She was sure that Robert knew everything. Kendra clenched her fists. How could Robert kill his wife? He was a monster.
"Don't worry. Calm down first." Marga comforted Robert, "I am not sure, but she mentioned Yolanda and her property before she left."
"Did she say that to you suddenly?" Robert asked.
"Yes, that's why I think she may know something," Marga said.
"It's impossible." Robert said worriedly, "How could she know? No one knew it except for us!"
"You are right. I don't know who told her about it. But it may threaten us. We…"
Suddenly, someone knocked on Kendra's door.
