Chapter 22: They Will Be A Perfect Couple
As Lendon and Kendra walked out of Michael's apartment together, he held her hand tightly, looking like he's afraid she will run away. After Lendon and Kendra got outside the apartment, Curtis called Kendra's attention.
"Miss Miller." Curtis bowed his head and signaled Kendra to pay attention to him.
"What's wrong?" Confused, Kendra stopped and turned to Curtis.
"What happened between you and Michael Baker?" Curtis lowered his voice. When Curtis found this place, he didn't tell Lendon the truth, afraid that it will cause another trouble, but he needed to figure everything out clearly before they got to the castle.
Kendra looked at Curtis confusedly, she doesn't understand why he should ask her.
"Please, don't misunderstand me. I just don't want Mr. Martin to get angry. You know his temper," Curtis explained softly, "Mr. Martin has been madly smashing all expensive things inside the study room because of you. It's already 3 am before we found you,"
Kendra gasped and realized what Curtis meant, " Lendon gone mad? Is he looking for me? I have nothing to do with Michael and have no relationship with him. He may marry my sister in the future." Briefly, she explained.
"Don't be offended, but Mr. Martin has been sensitive when it comes to you. You'd better keep it a secret." Curtis suggested.
"I know. Thank you." Kendra nodded and turned around to get into the car.
"That's all right." Relieved, Curtis smiled, "Since you appeared in the castle, Mr. Martin has changed a lot. He can control his poison and looks happier. You help him a lot. I hope you won't leave him soon,"
Hearing Curtis's words, Kendra was a bit anxious. The fact is, she wanted to leave Lendon sooner. Feeling a little ticklish, she didn't dare to say that she doesn't have any plan to continue helping Lendon. Soon, once she had enough money to pay her debt, she will leave him. She would be thankful if Lendon will not going to disturb her after leaving.
"Let's go now. Don't keep Mr. Martin waiting." Curtis invited her to get inside the car.
"Okay," Kendra said and got on. Curtis's words did remind her. She should stay away from Michael. He didn't need to be involved with her personal matters. This is her own battle, she should have to face it alone.

The following day, Michael bought some breakfast and went to his apartment. He intended to surprise Kendra, but he found Kendra was not there, which disappointed him.
"You left so early?" Michael sat on a couch and sighed helplessly. He suddenly missed her.
After a while, Michael's phone rang. It was his mother, Jane.
"Hi, mom." Michael picked his phone up and softly answered.
"We will have lunch at Hilton this noon. Don't forget it." Jane's voice was full of excitement.
"Okay," Michael said and stood up. Before he left, he turned around and looked around the apartment again. It seemed that Kendra's smell was still here. Michael smiled and texted Kendra.
Kendra was about to go to school. She looked at her phone and saw Michael's message.
"Did you have a good sleep last night? Why do you leave so early?" Michael's message to her sounded concerned.
When Kendra wanted to text Michael back, Lendon suddenly appeared in front of her, "Where are you going?"
Kendra put her phone into her bag quickly and turned around. "I am going to school." She smiled sweetly, trying to be nice to him.
"Why do you need to go to school every day? Can you just stay here? I can arrange a private lesson for you," Lendon murmured and walked out.
Kendra pouted her lips and didn't say a word. She followed Lendon immediately, aiming to convince him.
She immediately climbed up to Lendon's car. As soon as she sat down, she felt sleepy. Anyway, she barely slept last night as Lendon didn't stop having her the whole night. He fiercely punished her, and she could only cry under his body.
Kendra closed her eyes and wanted to take a nap. Suddenly, Lendon held her waist and pulled her into his arms.
Kendra looked at Lendon surprisingly and asked, "What are you doing?" How could she take a break now?
"I just want to hug you." Lendon's gaze fell on her beautiful face, brow furrowed.
It was not Lendon's style to keep his distance from Kendra. He even became clingy suddenly, which annoyed her desperately.
Kendra sighed and gave up struggling. She leaned against Lendon's chest and closed her eyes.
"Sleepy?" Lendon whispered.
"You're the one making me feel like this," Kendra pouted her lips and glared at him.
"You are like a tiny little pig," Lendon teased her, and he quickly gave a smacking kiss on her lips.
Kendra froze as she felt the warm kiss that fell on her lips, and she didn't dare to look at him. Maybe Lendon's arms were too comfortable, maybe Kendra was too sleepy, anyway, Kendra fell asleep. She didn't even know when she arrived at school.
"Mr. Martin, we are here." The driver reminded him.
Lendon told the driver to shut his mouth and stared at Kendra's face. He somehow didn't want to wake her up. Lendon rubbed Kendra's face, from her eyebrows to her nose and lips. In fact, Lendon had seen too many beauties better than her, including those women who were popular celebrities. But Kendra was different; indeed, she's pretty, and her charm took his attention, her beauty attracted him that night. Lendon bent over and got close to Kendra's lips slowly. However, Kendra suddenly opened her eyes. What the hell? Didn't she fall asleep? Lendon looked into Kendra's eyes and felt embarrassed like a naughty little boy caught from stealing something. Shit, why did she suddenly open her eyes?
As Kendra widely opened her eyes, she saw Lendon's face blushing. Did he blush? And she also felt shocked when she saw only thin space left between their lips. What did Lendon want to do? Did he want to kiss her? or…
While Kendra wondered, Lendon lifted Kendra's head and kissed her deeply. Anyway, she had found his intention.
"A morning kiss is good!" He smiled triumphantly after his lips left hers.
Lendon didn't blink his eyes. He stared at Kendra's face and noticed her eyelashes trembling due to her bashfulness. Somehow, Lendon felt so satisfied. After a while, he finally loosened Kendra and encouraged her, "You should go now before I do something more,"
Snapped back to reality, Kendra turned her head and found she had arrived already. She got off and walked away immediately. Soon, she recalled something and said, "God! I am going to be late." She lied to Lendon. Actually, she needed to be a waitress in Hilton. It was a good part-time job. She could earn 500 dollars in a day.
Kendra took a taxi to Hilton. Luckily, she was not late.
Kendra went to the front desk and informed the receptionist why she came here. Soon, a female manager came.
"You are Kendra?" The manager asked.
"Yes." Kendra nodded and gave a warm smile.
"Follow me." The manager glanced at Kendra and said. She led Kendra into the hotel dining hall and informed Kendra's responsibility briefly. Seeing another waiter nearby, she called him and introduced Kendra to him.
"Jack, this is Kendra. Tell her what she needs to do." The manager said and looked at Kendra, "Kendra, we have many guests today. Don't make mistakes. We can't afford to ruin our reputation as we are a high-class hotel." She reminded Kendra.
"Yes, I know." Kendra nodded, understanding her full responsibility. She looked around and saw several guests coming in.
"Good seems you got what to do. I would leave now," The manager quickly left her.
This was the first time for Kendra to be a waitress. She didn't know what to do, yet she's eager to learn. So she had to follow Jack.
More and more guests came when it got close to noon. Kendra was so busy with shuttling between the kitchen and boxes.
At that time, Michael parked his car and walked inside Hilton.
"I am already here. I am on my way." Michael told his mother through his phone.
"Sir, can I help you?" A waiter walked to Michael and asked.
"Take me to 2002," Michael said.
"This way, please." The waiter guided him.
Michael walked into the box and saw who was there. He was surprised.
"Michael, why are you so late?" Jane walked to Michael and clasped her arms to him, "I asked Marga to have lunch with us today and her daughter Bianca is with her. You can talk to Bianca, by the way. You have come back for a while, and you should spend more time with Bianca." Jane pushed Michael to Bianca.
Michael felt so awkward. He didn't know Bianca well, just talked to her when her father tried to introduce them. And he preferred Kendra, as a matter of fact. Kendra was perfect. Thinking about Kendra, Michael couldn't help but smile.
Bianca looked at Michael's who suddenly smiled, and she blushed. She lowered her head and felt happy, thinking that Michael's smile was for her.
"They will be a perfect couple." Jane happily announced and turned to Marga.
"Yes, you are right." Marga agreed immediately and thought run through her mind. All her plans played perfectly gradually.
Marga arranged this lunch intentionally to put out Michael and Bianca into a good start-up. When she saw Michael's smile, she finally felt relieved. It seemed that Kendra lied to her. Michael didn't know the truth at all.
