Chapter 45: A Capable Teacher

Bianca was worried when she saw her mom's enthusiasm. She knew that it would cause more problems for them, but she can't argue with her.
The next day, Marga dressed up and visited Michael's house with gifts. Jane was surprised to see Marga. She doesn't expect her to come.
Jane and Marga went to the garden and chatted. Marga was eager to tell Jane the truth, hoping she could get her support.
"I was so shocked with all the revelation you said," Jane said shockingly after Marga told her everything.
"I am so sorry. We lied to you, but we don't have another choice. Bianca is a good girl. She won't lie if not for her sister. She just helps us to protect our family's reputation, " Marga wiped her tears, feeling aggrieved.
Jane kept silent for a while. It was so unbelievable. After a while, she said, "So you mean the girl I met is Bianca? Kendra is the girl who appeared in those rumors recently? And as you said, Bianca only did lie to cover up for Kendra?"
"Yes." Marga nodded and said, "I am so sorry, Jane. We don't want to do that. But Kendra made a mistake. She is pregnant. We don't want to trouble you, so we have to lie to you. I hope you will understand us,"
Jane frowned and said nothing.
Marga glanced at Jane while wiping her tears. Didn't her trick work? The Miller family had developed a tight connection with the Baker family. They would not be so stupid to give up this engagement. She was confident.
Surely, even if Jane knew the whole thing, she didn't react too much except for surprise. "Marga, it is a big decision to make. We can't take any risk. If the secret of this engagement is out, we can't afford the result. You must sacrifice for our interests." She heaved a deep sigh, clenching her fists. They are being tricked by Kendra. How could she do that?
After a few moments of her silence, Jane answered. She doesn't know what to do, but she can't afford to have a disgusting daughter-in-law in the future.
"What do you mean?" Marga was a bit worried when she heard Jane's answer.
"You need to give Kendra up!" Jane looks at her, eyes filled with disgust.
Marga felt so delighted. Jane thought the same as her. It seems her acting work this time. She must convince Michael's mother.
"You need to make Kendra leave your family and force her to sign an agreement to make sure that she will never mention your family again. I will find a way to let Bianca marry Michael. Actually, when I saw Bianca, I liked her attitude," Jane said calmly.
Marga didn't expect that Jane had the same thought as her. That saved her lots of effort. "I guess we don't have a second option," Marga said and pretended to be sad.
"Don't be sad. Anyway, she is not your daughter. Why did you let her stay in your household, knowing she only brought shame to your family? As long as Bianca can marry Michael successfully, we don't need to worry later on," Jane reassured her, face a bit contorted as she thinks how dirty Kendra was.
"But…" Marga suddenly came up with something, looking at Jane with fake sadness, "Michael has seen Kendra, and he likes her."
"What?" Jane asked unbelievably. She thought she could handle it, but she didn't expect that Michael knew the truth before her.
"Don't worry. We can try to change his mind. You're his mother, with your help, I think Michael will follow you," Marga urged Jane.
"I know. But it's going to be hard. You know, my son has his own decision," Jane frowned and hesitated. She knew that Michael was stubborn.
"What's your plan?" Suddenly Marga had asked her.
"I will persuade Michael to accept the truth," Jane said. Kendra had ruined her reputation, and how could she marry Michael? Besides, he saw Bianca too. Even if Michael had seen Kendra before, he must listen to his mom!
Marga finally felt relieved. She protected Bianca with her wisdom! No matter what Kendra would do, she couldn't stop Bianca from marrying Michael anymore.
For the next few days, Kendra had been busy with school and taking care of Lendon.
This day, on Kendra's way out of school after class, she got a phone call from her professor. Her opportunity to study abroad was canceled earlier because of that false post, but later Lendon took care of it, so she got her chance back. When Kendra heard the good news, she felt so happy. She rushed to the hospital and wanted to thank Lendon but only found that Lendon had been discharged from the hospital earlier. She felt a little disappointed, but she didn't ask why. Instead, she just went back to the castle.
After dinner, Kendra felt bored, so she went to Lendon's study room. Kendra had to admit that this place was like her heaven now. There were just a few days before her final exam, and she had so many things to revise. In fact, Kendra only worked hard before exams, but she was smart, so she could always get good grades.
Kendra had been reading International Law since 8 pm, and it was already 11 pm.
When Lendon got back to the castle and walked into his study, he saw Kendra sitting on his chair. Her concentration was on the book she's reading, and she didn't notice him at all.
"Why do I think this word is so familiar?" Kendra pouted and murmured.
Suddenly, someone took her book away.
"Fundamental principles of international law refer to the principles of international law recognized by all countries, which are of universal significance, applicable to all valid areas of international law, constituting the basis and core of international law and having the nature of coercive law." A deep and familiar voice spoke.
Kendra looked up and saw Lendon reciting the law smoothly.
Lendon put the book down and patted Kendra's head. "You can't recite such a simple definition?" He asked, trying to piss her off.
"I just forgot it." Kendra rubbed her head and pouted her thin lips, "You seem familiar with this book. Can you translate some sentences to French for me?" She looked at him with admiration.
"I will translate it for you?" Lendon sneered and asked. What did she think of him? "There are plenty of dictionaries here. And you have a computer. Why do you have to bother me?" He slightly pinched her chin. His time was not for her homeschooling. Besides, it was too simple a task.
"It's different," Kendra said. She heard that Lendon was extremely smart. If he was willing to help, she could achieve higher grades with high efficiency.
Lendon pinched Kendra's chin again and smiled. "If you look at me in this way again, I will fuck you here." He whispered and caught Kendra's lips, giving her a deep kiss. He released her after he was satisfied. She blushed immediately.
Kendra looked away and trembled. How could she forget how dangerous Lendon was!
"I can do it on my own." Kendra opened the book again and lowered her head. Her heart was beating quickly.
Lendon stared at Kendra and asked, "You are going to take an exam?"
"Yes," Kendra answered and nodded without looking at him. She stared at the book, but she couldn't focus at all.
"Do you want to be on top?" Lendon's voice sounded sexy as it comes to her ears.
"Of course!" Kendra quickly answered. She's aiming to get the highest grade, as it will be her way to get more recommendations in the future.
"Need my help?"
"Will you?"
"I have conditions," Lendon said, still looking at her.
Of course, he wouldn't help her freely. How would Lendon be so kind to her? Kendra rolled her eyes and asked, "What's the deal?"
"I haven't decided yet." Lendon stared at Kendra and lured her, "With my help, you will definitely get to the top,"
Kendra raised her head, stared at him seriously. She believed that Lendon had the ability, but he didn't clarify his conditions, so it was risky.
"I will reward you if you get to number 1," Lendon said after he saw Kendra still hesitating.
"Really?" She doubted his words, but she knew he's always a capable one.
"You have my word." Lendon smiled and promised.
"Okay, I am in," Kendra said happily. She could have a professional teacher and reward! But she didn't know Lendon's plan.
"How can I help you?" Lendon removed his jacket, sat in front of her.
"I need you to explain this and translate this…." Kendra said.
Lendon taught Kendra with extreme patience. Curtis, who walked towards the study room, saw that they are busy studying. He couldn't help but smile. Recently, the castle has become peaceful, and they have concealed the last incident that happened to Lendon. Curtis walked away after a few minutes.
Kendra listened to Lendon carefully and took notes of all the information he has given. She even learned some French from Lendon. However, she does realize that Lendon is a very capable teacher.
