Chapter 47: She Stabbed Him

Lendon was furious once he heard her answer. He hated Kendra's attitude and grabbed her hand. He pulled her up and said, "How dare you reject my order, Kendra? Did you forget our agreement?"
"What are you doing?" Kendra swung Lendon's hand and plucked some courage to complain, " I told you to ask the chef to prepare food for you! I am busy now. Don't act ridiculously, you're being unfair. Why are you always making things hard for me?" She was having trouble memorizing everything, yet he is forcing her to do other things? How could she cook for him this time?
"Kendra, I can give you three seconds to rethink." Lendon's voice came like thunder, full of threat.
"No, I am not free." Kendra insisted stubbornly, still ignoring him.
"You!" Lendon felt so angry. He walked around Kendra and shouted, "What's wrong with you? Why are you keeping me pissed off?"
"If you feel uncomfortable, you can go out now." Kendra snapped back. Somehow she also didn't have a good mood, that's why she rebelled against him. She was too tired to understand his tantrums. He employed the most professional chef at the castle. Why bother her at this crucial moment? This is really so ridiculous!
"You want me to leave?" Lendon stared at Kendra gloomily. Patience is wearing thin. He couldn't believe that Kendra would argue with him a while ago regarding some simple law context problem. Was he less important to her than her study? Or…
"Do you like your professor?" Lendon pinched Kendra's chin and asked coldly.
Kendra couldn't believe what she heard. Another baseless accusation was coming from him again. After she realized what Lendon had asked her, she shook his hand off and shouted loudly, "Are you mad?" What was he thinking about? How would she like her professor?
"Shit!" Lendon kicked a chair and yelled, "Then why don't you cook for me? I said I'm hungry,"
"I am not in the mood to play with your stupid game. So stop it, will you?" Kendra answered.
"Kendra!" Lendon glared at her, veins popping on his forehead, "You think I want to play with you now?" Did she consider him as a child?
"Is it not what you're showing now?" Kendra rubbed her forehead and explained, "I am going to take exams soon. For faith's sake, it's important to me. If I can't pass it this time, I may lose my opportunity to go abroad. Do you understand?" Her school was strict with grades. Though she got back the recommendation, she needed to make sure there wouldn't be any risk.
"You want to leave here? You want your freedom? You wanted to run away from me?" Lendon squinted at Kendra, voice full of anger. He obviously understands what she means.
"Of course! You promised that I could leave after you are healed. If Alexis could find the cure of your illness, I can leave here," Kendra said. That was her only hope. She wanted her freedom and could live a normal life away from this psycho.
Lendon got furious after hearing Kendra's words. He stared at her as if she was his enemy.
Kendra noticed that something was wrong. She looked at Lendon and asked, "What? Are you getting angry?"
"You can't leave," Lendon growled. He gripped her hand tightly.
"What?"
"I won't let you leave. No matter how you tried, I have a million ways to make you stay," Lendon crushed Kendra's lips. His kiss was obviously a punishment. Kendra tried to push him hard, but he's so strong than her. She could feel his tongue invading her mouth, forcing her to respond. She groaned inwardly.
They both breathe hard after Lendon left her mouth, "Let me go! Asshole!" Kendra struggled to break free from his grasp. What was wrong with Lendon? He often forced her to do something she hated most.
"Kendra, listen, I won't let you leave here. Do you understand?" Lendon shouted crazily.
"Lendon, are you out of your mind today?" Kendra glared at him.
"Okay, I will show you how crazy I am," He quickly lifted her and put Kendra on the desk. Then, he crawled on top of her and locked her in his arms.
"What do you want to do?" Kendra was a bit scared by now and wanted to escape. But, she knew Lendon would do whatever he wanted.
"What? Are you scared now? Where is your bravery?" Lendon stopped her from escaping and sneered. He rubbed Kendra's cheek and unbuttoned her shirt.
"You can't touch me! It's not a full moon night yet. Do you forget your poison? Touching me on normal days will cause your poison to spread rapidly," Kendra covered her chest and asked in a panic.
"You are afraid to be touch by me, huh!" Lendon smiled with satisfaction. He forced Kendra to lie on the desk and stared at her as if she was his prey.
Kendra trembled and struggled. "Let me go, Lendon! Let me go." She shouted.
"Shut up!" Lendon had lost his patience completely.
People outside the study heard their conversation and all got worried.
"Mr. Curtis, will they be okay?" A maid asked.
Curtis frowned and said, "Mr. Martin can't touch Miss Miller now. We'd better…."
Before Curtis completed his words, a loud noise came out from the study.
Curtis rushed in without any hesitation.
There was a mess in the study. All the books fell on the ground. Kendra sat on the desk and looked pale. She held a knife with blood on it. That knife was there inside the study room that normally Lendon used when he's having some fruits while working often.
Curtis looked to Lendon and saw his arm bleeding. There was a deep wound.
"Mr. Martin," Curtis called worriedly.
Kendra looked at the knife unbelievably. Her face turned pale. She seemed to hurt Lendon unintentionally while struggling. But, of course, she didn't mean that.
"I, I am sorry." Kendra apologized and trembled.
"Good, Kendra. Well done!" Lendon stared at Kendra and said coldly. She'd rather hurt him than let him touch her. Good! Lendon kicked a vase and left quickly. There are droplets of Lendon's blood on the floor that make Kendra feel guilty.
Curtis followed Lendon quickly. He was worried that his wound would worsen.
Kendra was alone. Lendon said that he wouldn't let her leave? Why? The contract said she could leave as long as he was healed or she paid the money. Did he just fool her? But why did Lendon want her to stay after she was done with her purpose in his life? What was he thinking about? Did he like her? Thinking about it, Kendra couldn't help trembling and felt so horrible. No way! How could the noble Lendon fall in love with nobody? It was impossible. Kendra comforted herself and stood up. She glanced at the knife and frowned. Was he seriously hurt? She really didn't mean to hurt him!
Lendon released his anger in the living room. He smashed all the furniture he could, including expensive paintings.
Curtis felt helpless but also heartbroken. He just stood nearby, waiting for Lendon to calm down.
However, Lendon didn't get any better at all, and he didn't care about his wound that still continues bleeding.
"Curtis, did you know that she told me she wanted to leave her?" His eyes reddened with anger.
"She told me that she wanted her freedom? Why? Why did everyone want to leave me alone? Am I being unfair? Why did she hate to stay beside me?"
Lendon didn't notice the tears slipping down his cheeks. He tightly clenched his fists.
"My Lord, Miss Miller must be incautious. Don't be angry. You can always talk to her properly. Forcing her to do something out of her will cause trouble between you two," Curtis tried to comfort Lendon.
"Curtis, you didn't understand me! She hated me so much!" Lendon yelled and glared at Curtis. He wiped his tears. Then, he walked past Curtis and ran to the gym directly.
Worried, Curtis followed Lendon and saw him punching a sandbag fiercely. Curtis knew Lendon was heartbroken, afraid to be left alone. During the past 20 years serving Lendon, Curtis witnessed how he suffered when his mother was gone.
Every time Lendon punched, his wound would be torn and bleed again.
Curtis stared at Lendon and felt so worried.
"My Lord, you need to deal with your wound. Please." Curtis begged.
"Leave me alone, Curtis. I need to vent," He growled. Lendon ignored Curtis totally and just kept punching.
"My Lord, please don't be like this. You will harm your health. You just got recovered earlier, and here you are abusing your strength," Curtis reminded him.
"She never listened to me. That woman was so stubborn and arrogant," He panted, and eyes flew to the window.
Curtis couldn't find enough courage to say another word to Lendon. He wanted to calm him, but obviously, giving good advice won't work when he's mad.
"I heard you're hungry, I will ask the chef to cook for you. I will tell Alexis to treat your wound too,"
Lendon walked to the couch, said nothing. He felt the pain coming from his wounded arm.
