Chapter 51

Cara assembled every other things Jasmine will need to get ready to go to Tree Pack.While doing that,she thought she definitely need to tell Jasmine about what she had heard.She walks briskly towards Jasmine’s room and knocks.
Jasmine who had been pacing around in her room while anxiously biting into her nails looks up as she heard the knock on the door.
“Cara” she called out.
“Yes,it’s me your highness” Cara said and enters the room.
“Why are you late,it’s almost 12pm”Jasmine whispers as she doesn’t want anyone to listen to their conversation. Cara looked worriedly at Jasmine and Jasmine furrowed her brows.
“What is it Cara?”Jasmine asked.
“I need to tell you something your highness” Cara said but Jasmine impatiently waved it away. “We will talk when we are back, right now I need to not be late” Jasmine said.
“But it’s....” Cara was about to talk but Jasmine’s frown made her stop.She sighs and then begin to help Jasmine dress.She had matched the purple gown with silver shoes and diamond jewelries. Jasmine’s hair was done in a messy bun and Cara helped her with a light makeover.
After they were done,Jasmine and Cara heads out. Unknowingly to them both, Rose stood watching Jasmine with a malicious smile plastered on her face. She was happy because Jasmine is falling right in their trap. She tailed Jasmine to the Tree Pack. When they got there, she sat in her car at the entrance and brings out her phone to take Jasmine’s pictures. She grins satisfyingly as she got perfect pictures to use as evidence.
“You think you can win over me bitch, there’s no way I will let that happen” she said as she begins to drive off.
Jasmine and Cara couldn’t remember where Lenore took them when they first met her. They walked around in circles and couldn’t find her nor the cottage. This draws the attention of a con artist who walks towards where they stood.
“Is it a witch you are looking for?” The woman said. Jasmine and Cara looked skeptically at each other as they didn’t want to reveal their identity to the stranger.
“I can help you with whatever you came here for, my name is Dorian and I’m also a witch but a special one” she gave a reassuring smile and Jasmine hesitates before she could talk.

“Ummm...do you perhaps know who Lenore is” Jasmine said with a smile.
“Oh Lenore,yes,yes,yes I do” The woman said and motioned for them to follow her.
“Come on, I will take you to her” The woman said and begins to walk away. Jasmine and Cara glanced at each other again and then begin to trail behind the strange woman. When they got to a secluded area, the woman suddenly stops and then faces Jasmine and Cara who looks confusingly at each other.
“Where is Lenore?” Jasmine asked. The woman’s lips turned up in a devilish smile and then three people came out from a hiding spot.Two men and one woman, they were holding knives and pointing it towards Jasmine and Cara.Cara begins to panic. She knew it was a bad idea to come this early to Tree pack, now her fear had happened.
“What do you want?”Jasmine said with a lot of confidence knowing they were just petty thieves.
“We just want the expensive looking shoe you have on and the diamond jewelries,we mean no harm” The woman said and continues “Except you want to decline of course” she said with a short laugh. They keep walking closer to Jasmine and Cara with little steps. Jasmine got in front of Cara to protect her.
“No your highness,I should be the one to protect you” Cara said and immediately regrets it. “Your highness...I see” The woman said as she walks closer to grab Jasmine’s necklace. “Stop,what do you think you are doing?” Jasmine said.
“Since Tree pack is forbidden to everyone, it must have been your little secret to come here queen Jasmine and nobody will know even if you end up dead here so be a good girl and take them off” The woman was looking intently into Jasmine’s eyes. Jasmine didn’t want anyone else to know their identity so she slowly begins to take off her jewelries.
“Good girl” The woman said when Jasmine handed over her jewelries.
“Stop!”Jasmine heard someone shout from behind them and they all turned to face who it is.Jasmine huffs a sigh of relief when she saw who it was. Lenore walks towards them with long strides.
“What do you think you are doing Dorian,she’s my guest” Lenore said when she got in front of Dorian whose grin had turned to fear.
“L..Lenore,I...I thought you were away” The woman stuttered knowing fully well who Lenore was and how much punishment she could get from disturbing her peace.

“I warned you not to mess with me” Lenore said with a chilling voice which sent fear racing through the spine of the four con artists.
“I’m sorry” Dorian said and quickly hands over the jewelries back to Jasmine who had been watching intently at Lenore.She never thought Lenore holds much power in Tree Pack.
‘Well she does seem like a powerful witch’ Jasmine thought to herself.
“Apologize to them” Lenore ordered the four people who didn’t hesitate before bowing their head.
“We are sorry your highness” Dorian and the other three said before scurring away. “You should be careful your highness” Lenore said after facing Jasmine.
“Thank you”Jasmine said with a smile.
“I warned you never to come here again” Lenore said with a puzzled frown.
“I know but I just wanted answers”Jasmine said with a worried look now replacing the smile she had on before.
“Since you are already in trouble, I will not deprive you of answering those questions again” Lenore said with a sigh.
“What trouble?”Jasmine questioned but Lenore only turns back and begins to walk away. Jasmine and Cara trails behind her while wondering what Lenore meant by trouble.
