Chapter 87

Rose woke up earlier than she had always does.She waited for the maids to come knocking on her door so they could get her prepared for her big day.Lydia knocks on her door,she had other four other maids behind her.Since Rose had favored her,she had been the one to direct other maids on things regarding Rose.Rose informed them to come in and Lydia pushes the door open.Since it was still dawn,the artificial lights made everything visible.Lydia sees Rose standing beside her window,staring outside like she could see anything in particular when everywhere was still in darkness.

“Good morning your highness”Lydia said with the fake smile she always had on.Rose turned back to face Lydia and the other maids who stayed quietly behind Lydia.

“It’s a good morning indeed”Rose said while flashing them all a smile.

“Congratulations your highness”Lydia said.

“Oh no,it’s too early to say that but I approve it”Rose gave out a short laugh and Lydia manages to follow in the childish laugh Rose was having.She seemed all too excited than Lydia had thought she will be,for her to wake up so early when she always wake up late.

“We will go make your bath your highness”Lydia said and Rose nods.She went back to lay on her bed while giggling all to herself several times.After her bath was made,Lydia comes out with other two of the maids to undress Rose.Rose isn’t feeling in any way uncomfortable with the custom as she had always wanted things to be done for here.With a towel wrapped around her,she walks into the bathroom.She unwraps the towel down from her body when she got close to the bathtub that was soapy and scents of fragranted flowers.She steps in and takes a sit inside it.Two maids had left the bathroom to go to her bedroom leaving only two maids with Lydia.One scrubbed her body while the other massages her head.

After she was done bathing,they moved on to dressing her up.Before she could wear the dress,a maid came to serve her a light breakfast.After she was done eating,they begin to help in wearing the dress for her.

She couldn’t stop beaming as she stares at herself in the mirror.Her hair was done next,it was done in a loose waves,an impressive reverse French braid on the side and a messy braided bun hairstyle at the nape of the neck,it was a perfect diagonal braid that suits her blonde hair.White pins that looks like flower petals were added to the sides and the messy braided bun at the back.Her make over was done afterwards,she chose an hd makeover as she wanted to stand out more than anyone,afterall,she’s the bride.

Aya is the first person to come meet her in her room.Others planned on coming the exact time the crowning will commence.

“Oh my goodness,you look absolutely ravishing your highness”Aya said while her face was lit up.

“Thank you”Rose said while beaming.She was done dressing and the maids except Lydia had left the room.The only people now in the room is herself,Lydia and Aya who seem to cling to anyone that’s leading.Soon after,someone knocked on the door and Lydia went to check on who it was.They were new faces that Lydia doesn’t recognize but they told her they were Rose’s friends.She went back in to inform Rose who let out a short sneer laugh.She had intentionally added her so-called past friends to the guest list since she wanted to mock them just like they had mocked her in the past calling her sorts of names.She didn’t know they would actually show up but it was something fortunate for her as she would get to show off all she wants to them.

“Let them in”She said and Lydia went over to open the door for them.Three girls comes in with a smile plastered on their lips.

“Hey Rose,congratulations girl”one of the girls,Becky said while moving forwards to hug her.

“I don’t go by that anymore,you can refer to me as ‘your highness’ now Becky”Rose said with sarcasm evident in her voice.Aya stiffens the laugh that was about to escape her lips as she sees Becky’s smile die down.

“Okay,your highness,congratulations”Becky corrected and the other two,Lucy and Maddie also congratulated her.

“It has been so long since have saw you guys,I hadn’t thought you will actually show up”Rose said trying to make the girls more uncomfortable than they had been before.

“You invited us,so of course we should be here”Maddie,a blonde like Rose said with a bright smile.

“Well,it is understandable,no one wouldn’t want to cling to the queen”Rose said sarcastically which made the girl’s faces pale as they regret to have come to the wedding.Aya and Lydia predicted what must have gone wrong between the four friends with the way the three were tensed up in front of Rose.

“Look Rose….I mean your highness,we are sorry about what happened back then,we didn’t really know you were telling the truth,if we had,we wouldn’t have acted the way we did”Lucy said with an apologetic look on.

“Yes your highness,we are very sorry and we regret it now,please forgive us”Becky also said and so did Maddie.

“You won’t be here if I haven’t forgiven you,it just seems a little add to forget”Rose said while feigning an angry look but then instantly begins to laugh hysterically.The girls looked puzzled at each other and then back at Rose.Aya and Lydia were also confused on what made her laugh but they guessed it to be the excitement of the day.

“Sorry,it’s just so much pleasure to have people beg you to be their friends back,that doesn’t happen everyday,does it?”She faced Lydia who was hesitant to reply but she had to when she sees Rose was expectant of an answer from her.

“No your highness”Lydia responded.Rose nods and faced back her three friends who stared at her with horrific look on their faces.They knew Rose is bitchy but they never thought she would humiliate them in that manner but they couldn’t leave as so not to upset the new to-be queen in few hours.
