Chapter 66

Matt stood beside his room’s windshield.His hands were in his pocket as he kept his gaze outside the window.It was nighttime.He had a feeling a day long and that kept him confused.Though he craves Rose but some part of him still call his attention to Jasmine.He wondered why he would think of Jasmine when Rose was right beside him.He concluded it as a feeling of heart break from someone he had loved but also wondered why he was feeling that way when the love was a bewitchment.

His brows furrowed as he goes away from the window to take a sit on the wingback in his room.He stands up again to get a glass of wine from where he had always kept it.He played a soothing tone from the music player in his room.As he listened to the soothing sound,he sips the wine.His mind drifts off to Rose again and a smile crept on his lip.The smile died down almost immediately as part of him thought of Jasmine just like had been thinking all day.His hands clenched in a fist as he recalls the moment they had together.Her honey brown eyes staring into his blue ones as the corner of her eyes wrinkled with an adorable smile on her lips.He recalled the day she birthed their first son,how happy he was to hold the chubby little hands in his.

“Fuck”he growls as he threw the glass over the wall.He ran his hand through his hair as he heaves heavily with thick furrowed brows.He heard a knock on the door that interrupted him from his thoughts.

“Come in”he said and one of his room guard comes in.

“Your highness,Miss Wilde is here to see you”The guard said and Matt’s brows raised up,wondering why Becca will come to see him so late at night.

“Let her in”He said with his deep set voice.The guard left and soon after Becca comes in.

“It’s late”Matt said while watching her intently while Becca walks closer to him.

“I needed to bring your attention to something before it’s too late”Becca said and didn’t ask for permission before taking a sit on Matt’s bed.A playful smile plastered on her lips as she gazed at Matt who got a frown on.

“What”Matt said.

“It’s about your little affair with the queen’s,I mean Jasmine’s step sister”Becca said.

“You do not mention that woman’s name here Becca and my affairs doesn’t concern you”Matt warned huskily.

“Relax Matt,I just think I needed to tell you a little secret of Rose’s”Becca said.

“Go on”Matt said quietly.

“Rose doesn’t actually love you Matt,she just wants you to make her the Luna of the pack”Becca thought Matt will be alarmed by the revolution but Matt didn’t even bat an eye.He just sat like he didn’t hear nor care about what she said and that annoyed her.

“Look Becca,the only reason you are here is to keep your mouth shut and your little fare is almost ending soon so be a good girl and quietly go back to your room”Matt said quietly to her while trying to calm himself.

“Oh Matt,I’m trying to be a good sister here but you seem to be so stupid to not believe…”Before Becca could say one more world,she felt Matt’s hand grab her neck,choking her.She struggled to get Matt strong hold away from her neck but it was to no avail.

“I wouldn’t like to hear more from you Becca,get up and leave quietly”Matt said and after seeing Becca nodding,he let go of her.Becca held on to her neck as she gasps for air.She watches with the corner of her eyes as Matt went back to take a sit back on the wingback.Matt motioned his head to the door so Becca could leave.Becca looked at him once more and then stands up with her legs shaking.She hadn’t known he could be so violent towards her because he never acted up in front of her.

She walks slower to the door and she turned the doorknob to go out of the room.After she had left,Matt laid his head on the wingback while he got his eyes closed.He never gets why his late father had an affair and caused such a rancor.Now he was left to clean up the mess his father had caused.He heaves and lets the soothing sound do the job of calming his raising anger.

Outside Matt’s room behind a corner,Lydia stood watching Becca with a smirk on her face.She had been the one to advise Becca on meeting with Matt.She wanted Becca to have a reason to hate Rose more than she did so the two could work on destroying each other.The next thing she plans to do is to meet up with Rose and tell her what had transpired between Becca and Matt.After she was done watching,she smiles satisfyingly as she walks back towards the maid’s quarter.

Becca on the other hand had walked briskly to her room.She slammed the door hard behind her as she was boiling with anger.

“How dare you”she said with heavy breaths referring to her new found enemy.She stares into nothing as she starts to pace around her room trying to come up with a plan.She stops in her track as she figured out something.A grin spread across her face as she went over to sit on her bed.

“I will make you pay Rose”she mutters to herself.She plans on finding a way to reveal Rose’s atrocities.She only needed evidence and she would set about it the next day onwards.She needed to get rid of Rose.
