Chapter 82.

Cara suddenly sprang upright on the bed as she couldn’t take the repeating routine that she is forced to get used to anymore.She missed walking around freely and running errands for Jasmine back in Nighthawk.Though she isn’t to do any chores in where they are stuck in now but she couldn’t help but feel distant to the environment,she could never get used to it.What is even more upsetting to her is that fact that her new found mate had been avoiding her ever since the awkward moment they had in her room.She rarely sees him and he doesn’t bother checking on her as well.

Cara shook her head to get the thoughts out of her mind and stands up.She recalled earlier in the morning when she had gone to check up on Jasmine to see how she’s fairing with the recent news in Nighthawk but she hadn’t been surprised to see Jasmine so upset.She didn’t want to push it that was why she had decided to leave her alone to her thoughts.Her brows knotted in a frown as she imagined how the situation in Nighthawk will look like.She pities Jasmine’s condition and thinks of checking up on her right away.

Just as she got out of the room,she saw Sam making his way towards where she stood.All the thoughts she had of Jasmine vanished and was replaced by the dirty thoughts of Sam’s physique.She had been lost in thoughts,without noticing how close he had gotten to her until she heard his voice which jolted her out of her thoughts.

“Sorry,you said?”She asked when she couldn’t grasp what he had said.

“I asked where you are off to”Sam said while keeping a distance he knew he wouldn’t cross.

“Oh,I’m just heading to the queen’s…I mean Jasmine’s room”Cara said which sounded strange to her.She had never referred to Jasmine as her real name and she doesn’t know what came over her to have called her by her name.

“Right,I thought I could check up on you,it’s been a while”Sam said the last part almost to himself.What he said reminded Cara of how upset she had been when he totally ignored her.The smile she had on died down and she looked at him in a casual way.

“Yes it has,I had almost forgotten how you looked like”Cara said with sarcasm.Sam wondered why she suddenly changed how she talked which made him furrow his brows.There was a brief silence between them as Sam tried to chose the words to say.

“I’m sorry about last time”Sam apologized when he figured she must have been upset about that.

“It’s okay”Cara’s heart softens as she stared into his hooded eyes.

“Since you are off to see Jasmine then I had better come next time”Sam said.

“Oh no,no,don’t worry about that,have gone to see her earlier in the day also,she will need some time alone too”Cara said quicker than she intended to.She bit into her lips as her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.She had sounded so desperate for him to spend more time with her.Sam smiles and gave a short nod.

“If it’s okay by you then”Sam said.

“Please come in”Cara opened the door to her room and motioned for Sam to go in first.Sam goes in then Cara follows after,closing the door behind her.Unknowingly to them both,Fiona watches the two of them with her fists clenched.First the reason of her anger was because of Jasmine,but now she needs to deal with the blonde who is working on snatching off the man she had got eyes for.She humphs and stomp her foot on the floor childishly.She stood for a while watching the closed door while tears breamed the corners of her green eyes.She imagined several scenarios that might be going on behind the closed door as she wishes it were with her.She leaves immediately as she couldn’t take it anymore.She must find a way to quickly get rid of the unwanted guests of theirs.

Meanwhile,Cara had gotten sitted on her bed next to Sam though he put an effort in keeping a distance between them but the medium sized bed isn’t doing him the justice.

“I hope your stay here so far hadn’t been suffocating”Sam said after he couldn’t take the silence between them any longer.

“To be sincere,it had been a little,I am not used to staying in a room all day like a queen or a princess,I miss walking around the large hall running errands for my queen,I guess I had gotten pretty much used to that”Cara said while trying to make the mood more lighter.

“Oh right,it must have felt awful,oh my…”Sam said as he thought of how lonely she must have felt in a strange place living a strange life.

“No,no,no,it’s not awful,I’m just saying have not gotten used to it”Cara quickly corrected as she doesn’t want her words to affect their stay in there.Alpha Jace having them over is pretty much a great help.

“I’m sorry to have made you feel all alone here,I should come to keep your company but from now on,I will make that a priority”Sam said and Cara couldn’t help but smile stupidly like a teenager in love.

“I will very much like that as well”Cara said and they both shared a moment yet again.

“So tell me Cara,what do you like to do for fun”Sam said to kill the silence that had arosen again.

“Hmmm,running errands”Cara said and they both laughed.Cara herself had no idea of what else she loved doing other than making Jasmine satisfied,that is the only thing she derives happiness from.

“Are you being serious?”Sam said in astonishment when he realized she wasn’t joking about what she had said.

“Yes,I had no other things to do than to dress up the queen and please her,that’s my work”Cara said and Sam watches her for a while before deciding to speak.

“How about I show you some other fun things apart from running errands”Sam said.Cara felt aroused by what he said.His voice had sounded sensual which made her imagine lots of things even though she hadn’t experienced any before but she had heard some other maids back in Nighthawk talk about their love making with men.

“Sure”She said very quietly.

“That will be tomorrow then,it’s already getting late”Sam said and Cara’s eyes stared in confusion.She had heard the other maids talk about the best time for love making and that was late hours,and that left her wondering what other fun thing Sam had meant.

“What is….”She clears her throat before continuing “that fun thing”She asked.

“Combat,it’s the most fun thing to do”Sam said while smiling in excitement.Cara on the other hand was disappointed and she had unintentionally showed it.

“Don’t you like that”Sam said when he notices the disappointing look on her face.

“No,no,it sounds fun”Cara faked a smile on her lips and Sam nods.She was upset he had no idea how she truly felt inwardly.
