Chapter 55

The car came to an halt at the front of the luxurious hotel.Sam came rushing by when he sights Jace’s car.He saw Jace come out and surprisingly for him,he saw two women come out from the backseat too.He stared at them like he hadn’t come across women in his lifetime,especially the blonde that stood beside the brunette who looks somewhat royalty.Sam knew immediately that they weren’t call girls because of their stance.
“Sam,they are my guests so stop staring”Jace said while passing a warning look to Sam who immediately composed himself.
“I’m sorry”he muttered to Jasmine and Cara.
“I’m Jasmine and this is my personal m....I mean friend,Cara”Jasmine said,still not getting used to the changes.
“You’re welcome ma’ams”Sam said flashing them a smile.Though the smile was meant for Cara alone.
“Please follow me”Jace said to Jasmine and Cara with a smile and leads the way into the vast building.They boarded the elevator to the 2nd floor.Jace opened the door to his suite and goes in with Jasmine and Cara trailing behind.
Jasmine and Cara looked around in awe.The walls of the suite were all made of glass as they watches their reflections in the glass wall.Jasmine knew Jace was rich so she was not very surprised,she was just amazed with how beautiful everywhere is.She realizes she had been missing a lot while stuck in the mansion as a queen.
Just then,her mind drifts back to her past home and the children she was forced to leave behind.She wonders if her children will loathe her too just like her husband did.She wonders if they will ever ask of her.Her face paled when she thought of never getting to see them again.
“Are you alright”Jace interrupted her thoughts.Jasmine looks up and sees how worried Jace looked.She passed him a smile and nods.
“Have your seats,I will go make another room reservation”Jace said and Jasmine nods once again.
“Thank you”Jasmine mutters to Jace.He smiles and then leaves the room.Cara who had loads of questions sees Jace’s absence as an opportunity.She shifted closer to Jasmine.
“Your highness,where have you met him”Cara said with of look of curiosity. “He was a past friend”Jasmine said.

“Like....an intimate one?”Cara asked and immediately regrets it with the look Jasmine flashed her.
“I’m sorry”Cara mutters.
“I’m not a Queen anymore Cara neither do I want anyone to know that I’m a past one,you can just call me Jasmine”Jasmine said and lays her back on the couch they sat on.
“But you will always be my Queen your highness,we should make sure to clear the charges against you as they were not true”Cara said while her brows were furrowed.Jasmine didn’t answer,instead her mind drifts back again to the thought of her children.
“Please do not give up your highness,I will be here with you always”Cara said reassuringly when she sees Jasmine’s worry lines.
Few minutes later,Jace came back to the room with a worker and informed them to follow the woman to the room he had booked for them.Jasmine had thanked him again before they followed the Middle aged woman outside Jace’s suite.The woman led them to a room on the 5th floor and handed over the key to Jasmine.
“If you need anything ma’am,you can make a call through the cellar in the room”The Middle aged woman said with a bright smile.
“Okay thank you”Jasmine said and watches the woman leaves before slamming the door shut.Cara had jumped in fright when she sees Jasmine’s annoyed face.She wonders if it was her presence that caused the terrible mood swing Jasmine was having.The room wasn’t big like Jace’s room but it was well furnished.It only has a bedroom with separate beds and restroom.Jasmine drops on the bed lazily.She had been tired with how they walked in the city for two days without shelter.Her stomach rumbles for the fifth time that day but she paid less aid to it.Her fist were clenched as the thought of Rose and Becca filled her mind.
What had she done wrong to deserve a life like this?
She stared at the drywall ceiling hoping the moon goddess could hear her thoughts.Her frown deepens with the thought of the moon goddess.First she had made her gone through a lifetime of hell when she was a child and then grants her freedom only to take it back now when she thought her life was getting better.
Cara didn’t want to say anything because of Jasmine’s mood.She had been hungry also.Her thoughts drifts back to the mansion when she had had whatever meal she wanted,the special treatment she had and the happiness of satisfying her queen.She sighs and looks at Jasmine who still had a frown on.She thought it must be harder for Jasmine since she had been at lose

the most.She was betrayed by her husband and deprived of her children.She couldn’t imagine the type of pain Jasmine will be feeling at the moment.
“No,I won’t give up”Jasmine suddenly said and Cara jolted back to life.Jasmine sits up and then faces Cara.
“Cara,I need to make a plan but before that,we have to find a place to stay in for the time being”Jasmine said with hope replacing her worried mind.Cara smiles when she sees Jasmine’s mood swing again.
“I’m thinking we should go to the moon rising pack”Jasmine said and Cara’s smile fades. “But...that is the enemy of Nighthawk,we can’t possibly do that”Cara said.
“Oh please spare me that Cara,like we aren’t tagged a enemy already”Jasmine rolls her eyes and continues.
“Jace is the Alpha of Moon rising pack and I think he will be of great help to us”Jasmine said and Cara’s eyes wildens.Of course she had heard of the Alpha of the Moon rising Pack and the history Jasmine had with him.Everyone in the mansion knew of the history,even new hired maids were told by the old ones.She wants to dissuade Jasmine in changing her mind but when she sees how hopeful Jasmine looked,she couldn’t bring herself to.
