Chapter 54

Jace sat on the couch in a luxurious suite he often crashes in whenever he had business near the Nighthawk pack.He had his right palm rested on the couch edge while the other was holding his phone tightly,with a smile plastered on his face.He had never felt much better in his lifetime.
He had heard one of his plans had been successful which made him happy.His gaze turns down to the wristwatch he had on again just like he had been doing for the last three hours.He had to take another step to make the plan completely successful,he needed to find Jasmine.
Few minutes later,he got up and got his suit jacket.He puts it on and then head towards the door with long strides.He still had the smile on as he walks over to where his car was parked.His driver was running behind him to meet up with his long strides.
“Alpha Jace,I should drive you”Sam,Jace’s driver said after catching his breath.
“I want to go alone”Jace said sternly and Sam kept shut knowing he might get in trouble if he pushed it.Jace drives in full speed.He had received a text from his sister directing him to where Jasmine is at the moment.He had informed his sister to make sure Jasmine doesn’t leave where she is because he needed to make a devious entrance.
When he got to the destination,he stayed a little far away from where Jasmine was.He sat in his car while watching the scene intently.He sees Jasmine jabbing at someone for insulting Cara and they were causing a scene,just like he wanted and then,he plans on being the hero of the moment.When the brawl was turning intense,Jace adjusted his tie and run his hand through his hair while staring at the rear view mirror.
The moment he appeared in front of Jasmine was when the man she had been in a brawl with wanted to hit her.Jasmine was surprised to see him right in front of her when she needed someone to protect them the most.She had held Cara’s hand into hers as she tried to calm her down.
“What do you think you are doing”Jace’s deep voice came out in a rage which scared the man though it was all planned.
“S...She...and who do you think you are mister”The man muster up the courage to not mess what he had been paid off up.Jace moved closer and whispered to the man.
“I could have your hands cut for this”Jace said and the man’s face shifted to that of terror.He knew it was pretense but he had thought violence wouldn’t be included.The man gulped his saliva before withdrawing.He couldn’t keep up with their drama anymore as he ran away.Jace turns to face Jasmine while feigning a worried look.

“Are you okay Jas....I mean queen Jasmine”He said like he wasn’t aware of what had happened in the nighthawk palace two days ago.
“Yeah...Yes I am...Ummm,what are you doing here”Jasmine said,wondering why Jace would be in the vicinity when he lives far away.
“Oh,I had some business here and I was just passing by when I sighted you and your highness,It’s dangerous to walk the city without having a guard escort you,what if it was something bigger”Jace said and Cara who had stood rigid behind Jasmine gave a loud sigh.Jasmine looks back at Cara and gives her a warning look and then she gave a light chuckle when she faced Jace back.
“It’s actually alright,I could have gotten the situation handled but thank you for helping”Jasmine said and wanted to leave with Cara but Jace stops her.
“Your highness,I know we have an unpleasant history but please allow me to be of help to you if you ever need me”Jace said trying to sound gentlemanlike.Jasmine stayed quiet for a while before forming words from her throat.
“I,actually,I am not the Queen anymore and right now,I’m homeless and I think I might be in need of your help for a while”Jasmine said with all the courage she had.Four days ago,she wouldn’t believe she will be in the street,asking Alpha Jace for help.She doesn’t have any choice than to put what had happened between them behind her right now.
“Oh God...”Jace said breathlessly pretending to be surprised.
“I will explain everything to you I promise if you just let me crash at your place for few days”Jasmine said.
“I will be glad to help”Jace said with a smile and motioned for Jasmine and Cara to get inside his car.
“Thank you”Jasmine muttered and gets in the backseat with Cara.Jace walks briskly and opens the door to the driver’s seat.He sits and buckle up his seatbelt.He watches Jasmine from the rear view mirror and she flashed him a smile.He ignited the key into the starter and the car roars to life.
“I had planned on leaving here tomorrow but I could stay for the few days you want,I will get you booked in the hotel I am in”Jace said,sounding not desperate to have Jasmine beside him.
“Oh okay,I’m sorry for the discomfort I’m about to cause you”Jasmine looked apologetically at Jace.

“Oh no Jasmine,you were a friend of mine and I will do anything to get that term back between us”Jace said which reminded Jasmine of their old times.She had known Jace as kind and gentle hearted but then there comes the witch’s words.
Jasmine nods and Jace begins to drive.His mind begins to get occupied with his next steps.He needed to make her helpless so she would seek help more from him.The taste of victory made him energetic and he had planned on making her his again.
