Chapter 86

The days went by faster and Rose had been fully prepared for the wedding which will commence the next day.Madam Moore had delivered the dress personally herself to the mansion a day after Rose had gone with Maya.The whole of the mansion had been decorated even the outdoors.The crowning will take place at the garden and a ball had also been hosted for the after party.Matt had rarely gone to see Rose the last days because he had been busy with a lot of stuffs concerning the full moon festival,he had left the wedding preparations over to Rose.

A lot of people had been in distress as the day of the wedding gets nearer.Becca has been pacing around her living room,paying less attention to her son and only thinking of ways to get rid of Rose.She plans on going to the wedding but she knows she might not be able to get in but still,she wanted to give it a try.

Leila also had trouble sleeping at nights as the thought enveloped her mind.She hadn’t been attending the meeting Rose had called twice after the last one she called in sick.She couldn’t tolerate seeing Rose smirking at her or mocking her so she didn’t bother attending but she knew she is obliged in going to the wedding as she is a public figure.She doesn’t want to look pathetic so she had gone to her favorite store of getting dresses and bought a very lit white gown which looked much like a wedding dress.When she had gone to buy shoes,she met Aya also picking out the shoe to wear for the occasion.She remembered her last encounter with Aya when she had come to check up on her stating that the new-to-be queen sent her over.Leila couldn’t help but rolled her eyes when she had said so.She wasn’t surprised with the way Aya had turned quickly to Rose’s side.

“Leila”Aya had called,surprised to see her.

“Hi Aya,I see you are also here to shop”Leila said,not doing her best in faking a smile.

“Yes I am,I’m a frequenter here,I had no idea you come here too”Aya said and Leila almost rolled her eyes.

“It’s one of the prestigious stores in town,everyone like us come here”Leila said and Aya nods.

“Right”Aya said and continues to walk round the rows of heels.Leila felt like going someone else since she knew she would never get the best from there anymore.

“I think I should go check out the jewelries first,I could come back for the shoes later”Leila said trying to get away.The store had a section for jewelries so she thought of that as an escape so Aya would have been gone by the time she finish choosing her jewelries.

“Too bad,I thought we could chose together,maybe buy matching pairs even”Aya said,also not meaning it.She hated to wear the same stuff with people if it is an organization they will both be in at the same time.

“Our tastes are definitely different,I assure you”Leila said while giving out a short laugh.Aya felt offended by what she said but didn’t show it,she isn’t the type to lose her temper easily over trivial things.

“Okay then,good luck choosing the perfect pairs”Aya said with a smile and Leila left to the section where jewelries were.She made sure to take her time as much as possible so as to make sure Aya had gone.After almost two hours of selecting,she decides to go with a emerald necklace and matching pairs of earrings.Afterwards,she went down to the shoe section.She looks around for a while to see if she could get any she would like but didn’t later find any to her liking.She went over to another store to get shoes.Her outing made her feel a little lighter and she becomes confident to turn up for the wedding.

While Jasmine on the other hand kept herself locked in her room because she wouldn’t want Fiona or Cara barging in on her.She was quietly crying and sniffing while the thoughts of the next day wailed her mind.Rose,the lady-in-waiting had called her several times to keep her updated on things going on in Nighthawk and also how her children is fairing.Cara had came knocking on her door in the afternoon but Jasmine had told her to leave her be for the time being.Cara,instead of leaving stayed glued to the door,she kept chattering about funny things Jasmine had did in the past,trying to make her feel better but Jasmine wasn’t listening.She was only picturing how the scenario for the next day will look like.She wondered how Matt would look when Rose is made his Luna.She wondered if he would be happier than how he had been with her when she was made his Luna.

She misses him,his touch,his voice and his usual rapid breathing on her neck when they made love.She wondered if she would ever get that again.Tears wailed in her eyes once again as the spot on the bedsheets where she laid her head on were wet with her tears.

Everyone,each in their home were anguish with the thought of the coming day except Rose who couldn’t stop chattering to Lydia.Lydia tried her best to keep listening to Rose’s words but she was feeling so tired that she couldn’t help but dozing off while standing.Rose noticed and dismissed her,stating that Lydia needed all the rest for the day so she would be very much active the next day.Rose couldn’t get her mind off the thoughts of the next day.She had prepared every little things she might need,even a lingerie for the night.The day ended with her excited while Jasmine was in dismay and could hardly get any sleep.
