Chapter 80.

“Your highness”Rose,the lady-in-waiting called the third time before Jasmine could jolt out of her thoughts.Rose had informed Jasmine of the recent happenings in the mansion and how the other ladies-in-waiting had reacted.Jasmine had been in her room all day,picturing how happy Matt will look when he had proposed to Rose.She had often talked to herself and bit into her nails numerous times.Cara had came one time to check on her but immediately left when she sees the foul mood Jasmine was in.

“I’m thinking of something Rose”Jasmine said.She sat on her bed as usual as she held the phone to her ear.

“What might that be your highness”Rose asked with interest evident on her face.

“All Alphas are invited to the full moon festival and since Alpha Jace is without a mate,I’m thinking of coming along with him,I need to see my children”Jasmine said,the reason she had actually thought of that was to see Matt.She wanted to see if it was really her husband as she still find it hard to believe everything that had happened.

“But your highness,you won’t be allowed to go in,how will you manage to get to see them”Rose said through the other end of the phone.

“Don’t worry about me Rose,I will find my way”Jasmine said.She knows her way round the mansion so she knows a way to get in without people noticing.Since it will be a crowdy festival and a mask one,no one often recognizes each other.

“Okay your highness,I will inform you more if anything new comes up”Rose said and Jasmine nods like she could be seen by her caller.

“Thank you”Jasmine said with a smile she tried to form on her lips.

“Anytime your highness”Rose said and afterwards,Jasmine ends the call.She lays the phone on the bed as she begins to think of her plans for the coming week.She knew she needed to see Alpha Jace first to ask for his permission in taking her so she plans on discussing it with him when it’s time for dinner.

Just as she continued thinking,a memory flashed across her mind yet again.The ones she planned to bury for a while,the ones that could leave her broken for eternity.It was the times she spent with Matt.The love they had and the children they made.Though they weren’t the best of families but she knew they had something special until her nemesis befall her.She shook her head trying to stop the memories from rushing in.She figured she needed some fresh air to calm her nerve.She stands up and head towards the door to go out.Just as she opened it,she jumped in fear as she sees Fiona standing outside with her usual look of disdain on.

“You are one cunning bitch Jasmine,you think Alpha Jace doesn’t have a mate huh?”Fiona said and Jasmine opened her mouth unable to say anything until Fiona snapped her finger in front of her.

“You have been eavesdropping”Jasmine said and crossed her arms staring intently at Fiona,feeling somewhat annoyed.She figured it must be because of the mood she was in.

“It’s our dominion bee,I can be wherever I chose to be”Fiona said also getting her arms crossed.Jasmine stares for a while with a feeling of blasting her but she takes a deep breath and stayed calm since she knew she wasn’t supposed to be there truly.

“Okay Fiona,I get it”Jasmine said and tried to walk past her but Fiona blocked her way.

“I see you care less about who she is huh,Alpha Jace’s mate”Fiona said with her face boring into Jasmine’s.

“If Alpha Jace truly had a mate,then why isn’t she present at the tables”Jasmine said with surrender.

“Look little bee,that pitiful girl is in a mess because of you,it has always been you Jasmine,you and your fairytale prince ruined the Moonrising pack and yet you have the audacity to come here and be treated like a queen,you are such a bitch”Fiona said with irritation.She hated Jasmine and she wouldn’t care to hide it.What she said made Jasmine lost in thought.She knew Fiona was right but what puzzled her most is what she said about Alpha Jace having a mate.She hadn’t thought of it for once as she thought Alpha Jace wouldn’t hide her if he truly has one.

“Look Fiona,I’m sorry about what happened in the past,could we put that behind us and at least not be mean to each other please,I promise I will get out of your sights as soon as I can”Jasmine wanted peace since it wasn’t her domain,she needed to make Fiona stop nagging her all time as she had less time to tolerate it,she knew Fiona’s words could make her upset and she would at the end lose her patient which she pictured wouldn’t end well.

“As if”Fiona sneered and leaves.Jasmine watches as she walks away slowly.She had only said all that to please her anyways,she knew she would never agree to a truce between them.

Just as Jasmine turned her face to the corridor she will pass to leave,her eyes landed on an unfamiliar face,standing at a corner,staring intently at her with a deep set hatred.Mina had stood for a while beside a corridor,watching Fiona conversing with Jasmine.She had listened to the conversation and had been very much upsetted when Jasmine had spoken lightly of her existence.Mina left after she was contented in watching which left Jasmine wondering who she might be.The thought made her regret to have chosen to come stay in the Moon rising pack when she had a lot of people she had upsetted there.She heaves and begins to make her way outside the ancient looking mansion.
