Chapter 72

Earlier in the evening,Fiona had knocked on Jasmine’s door and came over with rows of clothes.Though it was against her will but she had no choice but to follow their Alpha’s words.

“Your ratty pretense has gotten you in favor yet again”Fiona said while chewing on a gum.

“The Alpha gifted you fits for dinner”Fiona said while getting her arms crossed.

“And I heard of your predicament…”Fiona laughs and continues “You have grown wilder than I had remembered little bee”Fiona said and turns to leave without waiting for a response from Jasmine.Jasmine stood speechless and only sigh after she had left.Too many headaches had been bothering her.She could get used to Fiona’s words but not to staying in there for too long.She could possibly not stay there when her children are God-knows what they are going through.

She looks through the clothes as she sees none of the clothes were casual fits.She thought she could at least go back to wearing jeans with T-shirts or wearing pullovers that kept her safe like she used to in the past but it seems Royalty had stained her forever.Many of the clothes were adorned with pretty stones.

It was getting late and she needed to chose a fit like Fiona said but all were just too showy.She picks out the clothes one after the other while checking how it will look on her in the mirror.Just then,she heard a knock on the door.

“Come in”She knew it wouldn’t have been Fiona cause Fiona would never had knocked.Cara comes in and smiles when she sees Jasmine.

“Your highness”Cara said and closes the door behind her.

“Oh thank goodness you are here Cara”Jasmine heaves a breath of relief and dumps the cloth she had on her hand on the bed.She sits and held her hand to her forehead.

“You are having trouble choosing clothes huh,here,let me help out”Cara said and begins to look through the clothes.

“This!”Cara says and held out a blue gown.It looks much more casual than the others and it had pearls adorning the rectangular neck.Jasmine had also thought of going with it but it looked like a cloth that is worn when seeing a lover and she wouldn’t want to drop that impression on Jace.She stands up and place it on her body while trying to make the cloth look less attracting with a sad face.

“Good clothes should be adorned with a good smile”Cara said and motions a smile on her face for Jasmine to imitate.

“I want something more casual than all this”Jasmine said and dumps the cloth on the bed.Cara sees how disturbed she looked and guessed what might be going through her mind.

“You don’t want to look pretty in front of Alpha Jace”Cara said.

“Yes,it’s enough that I gotten him occupied with seeing my face which must be quite uncomfortable for him but then looking good will be too much,I want us to be awkward”Jasmine said while crossing her arms,staring at nothing in particular.

“Well,your highness,to be sincere….I think he still likes you”Cara said which made Jasmine glance at her.

“And why do you say so Cara”Jasmine said puzzled on how she knows that.

“The way he looks at you your highness,I can’t define it but from the movies have seen,a man looks at a woman like that when he likes her”Cara said.Reminding herself of how Sam looked at her.

“I must say,you do watch a lot of movies Cara”Jasmine said and rolled her eyes.

“I’m sorry your highness,I must have guessed wrong”Cara said.Jasmine sighs and takes a sit on the bed.

“I should probably get ready for dinner,it’s getting late”Jasmine said and Cara nods.

“I should leave you to changing then,I will quickly dash to my room”Cara said and smiles before exiting the room.

Jasmine begins to dress herself up.She wore the gown first and then move on to make her hair which it had been long she done herself.She left her hair unpacked and brushed through it smoothen the little frizzled part.She added no makeup and only brushed her brows to look as nature as she could look.She wouldn’t want to be attracting him in any way.

After she was done,she stands up and head to open the door.She met Cara standing outside like she was guarding her room for her.

“Oh you are done,your highness”Cara said.

“You should stop this habits Cara,we are no more in Nighthawk”Jasmine said and begins to work towards where dinning room was.She knew her way through the house as she had lived for months there.They passed by a lot of people who wouldn’t stop sneering at them.Cara had first thought the hate was because Nighthawk and moon rising pack don’t get along but she finds out it was totally because of Jasmine with the way people glare at her in the house.

“I must say you do not have friends when you were here”Cara whispered to Jasmine while they were walking.Jasmine didn’t bother responding,instead,she kept her face cool like she was unaffected by the glares she got.

When they got there,they saw Jace already sitted,looking dashing in his casual fit.Jasmine looks down at her body and sees she had over dressed just like she prevented but it had been her host’s choice anyways,she was cool with it.

“I’m sorry to have kept you waiting”she apologizes with a smile.

“It’s okay,shall we dine”Jace said and motioned his hand to the food being served on the table.Jasmine nods and takes a sit.Cara takes a sit beside her while looking around the room.Jasmine knew Jace had always enjoyed dinning alone as he eats other mouth chewing in his presence so she knew the explanation for why he had been alone in the room.

“I know how uncomfortable this is for you Alpha Jace,I’m sorry to have caused any discomfort”Jasmine said and Jace chuckles while shooting his head.

“Oh no,it’s perfectly fine,it’s actually better you are here,i seeker for a dinner partner”Jace said with humor and gave out a short laugh.He would have be sincerely if not for Cara who kept herself by Jasmine’s side at all time.He could only express how displeased he felt after going back to his private space.
