Chapter 90

While Rose was having the best time,Jasmine had stayed in her room crying.She didn’t lock the door this time which was why Cara sat beside her,trying to comfort her but with all she does,Jasmine wasn’t in anyway comforted.Jasmine had also cautioned herself not to cry and be strong but her fragile heart couldn’t help thinking of how heartbroken Matt had left her without giving a care.She continued crying and sniffing till she drifts off to sleep.Cara heaves a sigh of relief after she sees Jasmine was snoring quietly.She stands up and tiptoed to the door.She doesn’t want to wake Jasmine so she carefully opens the door and goes out.She closes the door back quietly and heaves out a deep breath again before heading to her room.

She slams the door of her room behind her and falls on the bed.She had been exhausted with just how she had been comforting Jasmine and she needed to have her rest too.She closes her eyes to sleep but then she doesn’t feel so sleepy anymore.Her mind which had been playing with her all day drifts back to the memory she doesn’t want to recall again.It was the day Sam had called her out for the fun combat.He had taken her to the arena where they trained near the mansion with two other people there.They were women and Cara had been jealous to see them stare lustfully at Sam.Sam had asked her if she had ever been in a combat with anyone and she told him the truth which was ‘no’.He had looked at her in awe,wondering why their pack were the only ones to face battle and Nighthawk had been peaceful except for the one time Jace battled with Matt.It was understandable to him though,because Nighthawk is the heading pack all over their world which was why they dominated as king over all other packs though different packs had their Alphas.

“You should raise up your fist a little higher”Sam had said while putting her into position.He touched her body lightly to make a stand in the rightful way when combating.They both felt the tingling feeling one time when they shared a very close contact with each other.Cara was about to fall then and Sam held on to her,with their body close and the only thing separating them were the pieces of clothing they had on.If not for the other company they had,Sam sweared he would have lost control and probably made out with her then.

After their little moment,Sam had called off the combat for the day saying he had an errand to run for Jace.He had asked her he would combat again with her soon and ever since then,he hadn’t appeared in front of her again.

Cara sighs and sprang up.She misses him and thought maybe she could go check up on him at the arena.She gets up instantly and walks over to the door.She gets out of her room and heads towards where the arena was.When she got there,she saw two girls in the middle of a combat.She recognizes one of them much better than the other because she had always notices the way the girl looked at her with distaste.

Fiona sights Cara heading towards where she was combating with one other maid.She gets distracted and a blow landed on her left cheek which made her very upset.She lounges at her opponent like a madman and begins to throw heavy punches on her,venting the anger of seeing Cara on her.Cara came running to them and tried to stop Fiona but Fiona pushed her away and faces her.The other girl had laid on the floor,with her mouth bleeding from the hits she took.She couldn’t stand up as her breaths were hoarse.Fiona gets up from her and stands in front of Cara who had fallen to the ground from Fiona’s push.

“Why are you here”Fiona said while she wiped the sweat that was on her face.Cara stands up,Fiona was much taller than her which made Fiona felt superior over here.

“I…I’m here to practice”She couldn’t possibly say she was there because of Sam so she lied.A smirk formed on Fiona’s lips as she thinks of a plan.

“I could help with that”Fiona said and Cara’s eyes wildens.She looks at the half dead woman on the ground and back at Fiona.She smiles sheepishly knowing she couldn’t in any way fight Fiona.

“No need about that,I could practice on my own,thank you”Cara said and instantly turned to walk to another section but Fiona grabs her hand and turned her back to face her.

“It would be boring to train alone,I assure you I will be of great help”Fiona said and Cara shook her head.

“It’s really okay,I will be good on my own”Cara said and turns to leave but unfortunately for her,she felt a hard blow to her leg which made her fall on her back.

“Fiona !”Fiona heard someone yell her name from the entrance which settled her.She wondered who would dare shout at her in that manner and sees it was Sam.She begins to fiddle with her hand as she fears Sam will be angry at her.Sam took long strides to where they were and got into the arena.He bends down beside Cara and lifted her up.

“Are you okay”Sam asked worriedly while staring into Cara’s face.This display infuriated Fiona more but she couldn’t do anything.

“I was just trying to put her into shape”Fiona said while smiling sheepishly.The smile died down when Sam looks up to glare at her.Without saying nothing,Sam led Cara out of the arena to the outside.Fiona watches them with her hands fisted and tears breaming the corners of her eyes,if only it were with her,will she be happy.
