Chapter 93

Mina had no idea who Rose was.They had only met in the bar where she would go to commune with tequila.They had talked briefly and Mina had told her her identity of being a witch.Rose seeked for help from her with lots of lies.Rose didn’t also reveal her true identity,they didn’t both trust each other.

“How did you know where I was”Rose asked quietly.

“I’m a witch,just like you said”Mina said and walks over to take a seat oh Rose’s bed.

“I think the spell is wearing off,it isn’t effective anymore”Rose whispered.

“Well,it’s about time you stop using it then”Mina joked and Rose’s frown deepens.

“What ! You had told me you would renew it whenever I asked”Rose whispered shout.

“Relax,I was joking….”Mina said and immediately begins to cast a spell while whispering.

“Done”Mina said and before Rose could say nothing else,she disappeared.Rose was speechless with her mouth left agape.

Mina couldn’t take long because she feared Jace would come in at anytime though he hasn’t been coming to the room often anymore.Whenever he comes,he would only come pick up his clothes and left after dressing up.

When she got back,she didn’t see anyone and the room was left locked as usual.She sits on the floor and had her head laid back on the wall.Thinking back to Rose,she realized how expensive looking everything in her room was and that made her wonder who Rose was truly.If she hadn’t been in a rush,she would have found out who she was but right at that moment,she cared less about it as her mind drifts back to Jace.She knew about Jasmine’s sickness and how Jace had been checking up on her every moments.

Mina recalls her home suddenly,where she had love from everyone which made her wonder why it’s so difficult to make Jace fall in love with her.Back at her home,she had been treated more like a princess.When she first came to Jace’s pack,she couldn’t first endure all the things Jace did to her.She had left for a while but came back thinking she could change Jace.She stayed sitted and lays still on floor while awaiting Jace still.


Rose still paces around the room when she heard a knock on the door.Surprisingly,it was Matt.

“Matt”She called breathlessly wondering if the spell actually worked or he was there to kick her out.

“Love….i didn’t picture you standing,is something the matter,you have been distant at breakfast too”Matt said while walking closer to her.

“I…I’m okay now”Rose said.Then,Matt had gotten closer to her.

“Close your eyes”Matt said while staring into her eyes.

“Why…”She asked with urgency still unsure of Matt’s intention.

“Relax Love,just have a little thing for you”Matt said and Rose complies.She closed her eyes firmly and waited for whatever Matt had planned for her.Matt brought out a necklace and carefully wears it around her neck.He had always loved to gift his lovers something of not much worth but evident of his love towards them.

“You can open them now”Matt said and Rose opens her eyes.She had felt Matt’s long fingers touching her neck and she knew he had gifted her a necklace so she wasn’t surprised to see one worn around her neck when she opened her eyes.She smiles brightly to him and he smiled back.

“Thank you your highness,you have been so kind to me”Rose said quietly.She wasn’t happy because of the ordinary looking necklace he bought her but the fact that Mina’s spell might have actually worked.

“It suits you well”Matt commented and Rose fakes a chuckle.She wasn’t impressed with what he had given her.Since she is now the queen,what she expected was a car or rows expensive looking clothes to be gifted to her.Her symbol of love is something sophisticating,rather than a piece of jewel.

“We should sit”Rose said and led Matt to the bed.She had suddenly been reminded of what she had wanted to do first as the queen and she would take the chance of telling Matt then.

“I wanted to talk to you about something”Rose said after they sat down.

“What is that Love”Matt had a worried look on.

“It’s nothing serious your highness,it’s just I had been wondering if I could chose another candidates as whom I want to be my ladies-in-waiting”Rose said and Matt’s face brightened up.

“The ladies-in-waiting had been chosen by the council and all of the ladies are their daughters”Matt said casually,not knowing how much of a deal it was for Rose.Her brows furrowed as she thought of the council.She wondered why they were allowed to make decisions that should be made by the king and queen.

“But your highness,why are the council allowed to make decisions when you are the king and Alpha of this pack,it doesn’t sit well with me”Rose said while feigning a angry face to make Matt more concerned.

“That is how it has always been since the ancient time Rose,I also grew to adapt to them,they could be annoying most times but you will grow used to them”Matt said calmly which infuriates Rose.She had known Matt as someone controlling so she thought he would get his way into anything he wants but now,she’s realizing he had changed.He seemed more calm and acts more like a puppet king which made her wonder if it was the spell doing it work but If it was the case,why wouldn’t he just listen to her?.

She doesn’t want to push it so she decides to make another plan of getting rid of her so called Ladies-in-waiting.She plans on cornering them and making the council themselves make the decision of dismissing them,even if it were their daughters,she cared less.
