Chapter 53

Matt heard a knock on the door of his study.He dropped the pile of sheets he had in his hand to the desk and tells the person to come in.It was Rose.His wolf growls as he sets his eyes on her.Matt doesn’t know why he found her this attractive even though he was aware of her bad deeds.He couldn’t take his eyes off her as he watches her walk seductively towards him.
“Hope I’m not disturbing you by coming here your highness”Rose said.
“Not at all”Matt said even though deep down,he wanted to blast her on interrupting him but he just couldn’t find himself doing that.
“I just wanted to...Umm...”Rose feigned a worried look while fiddling with her fingers anxiously.
“What is it”Matt asked.Rose hesitates before speaking.
“The thing is someone saw Jasmine...I mean the queen in tree pack”She said like she was worried when deep down,she wanted to laugh.Matt’s brows furrowed as he stares at Rose.
“What are you saying”Matt gazed questioningly at Rose.
“There’s evidence your highness”Rose said and quickly unlock her phone to show Matt what was on the screen.Matt’s brows furrowed more as his fists clenched.He stands up in a swift and head out the door with Rose trying to catch up with his long strides.When Rose sees he was heading towards Jasmine’s room,she tried to stop him but he wouldn’t listen.
“Your highness...”one of the guards guarding Jasmine’s room wanted to inform him of Jasmine’s absence but he didn’t care to listen and barges into Jasmine’s room.The room which he had secretly entered on nights when he was to be in his chambers to seek his wife’s caressing,now displeases him.Her scent,which circulates the whole room infuriated him more.His eyes scannned the room like a predator,trying to detect where his prey hid.
“She’s not home your highness,she’s in tree pack”Matt heard Rose said from behind him.Without him saying nothing,he turned back and heads out of the room to outside the mansion.He was going to wait till she comes back,he needed an explanation.
After few minutes of waiting,he sights Jasmine’s car entering the vast compound.He watches her every steps with his fists still clenched.Rose who had stood alongside with him and Becca walks over to Jasmine and hits her on the face.Matt didn’t feel anything.He wondered why,he was sure he actually loved her in the past but the feeling he had now was total hatred.He turns and head back inside.When he sees Jasmine being dragged to where he stood,he didn’t move an inch.

He couldn’t even let her explain because he was sure of her misdeeds.He himself could not explain the switches in his consciousness.He had first wanted an explanation but then again,he didn’t want to hear anything from her.He ordered the guards to drag her away to the dungeon as he couldn’t stand her face any longer.
The news of the queen had caused an uproar in the mansion.Some of the Queen’s guards have been arrested for questioning while some who were working for Rose and Becca were left out.Rose saw the chaos as a chance to take a step towards Matt so,that night,she changed into a very skimpy red dress that ends in the mid of her thighs.The dress tightened her slim body and her bosoms were visible.
Rose saw Matt seated on a wingback chair in his room.He had his head thrown back as he shut his eyes closed.Rose’s knock had interrupted his little peace and he looks up at her in delight.He felt like he had been missing out on something his whole life and he just found it.He watches as Rose took slow steps towards where he sat.He had sat up,his eyes were roaming on Rose’s exposed skin.
“Your highness”she said very quietly as a smile form on her thin lips.Matt said nothing but his smile had gave her a go-ahead.She moves closer to him and bends a little to drop a kiss on his lips.She moves her face away from him to see Matt’s reaction and she sees the spells had completely done it work by how pleased Matt looks.He looked at her with love,something he could never do if he were in his right mind.
Matt brings his hand forward to cup her left cheek and then move her face closer to his so he could capture her lips into his mouth.He kissed her like an hungry man.The kiss was gentle but at the same time rough.He stands up and pulled her slim body into his solid chest as he explores her mouth further.Suddenly,he breaks away from her like he woke up from his unconsciousness but almost immediately slam his mouth back into hers.He lifts her up and land her gently on the bed as the kiss deepens.Rose couldn’t have been happier if she had listened to Becca’s words,this was what made her happy,a lifetime with Matt.
The next day,Jasmine was brought before the counsel.She had said nothing while everyone in the counsel had blasted her.She didn’t even flinch with the way someone had thrown a stone at her.She only stared at the floor.What upsetted her wasn’t the shame she was feeling but the fact that her husband had been eager to get rid of her.A tear had dropped from her eyes.She wondered what will become of her sons,will they be in trouble because of her? but then she remembers Matt had trained them to be apart from their mother,the counsel wouldn’t see fault in her children as she had not been close to them.
“I hereby dethrone Jasmine as my queen and I banish her away from Nighthawk”Jasmine heard Matt said and a sigh escapes her mouth.She then asked herself what she was relieved on.
