Chapter 60

After they were done eating,Jasmine had informed Cara she needed to go see Jace and told Cara not to follow her.Cara had disagreed but Jasmine had insisted and told Cara to go out also if she feels like.Cara had nodded and Jasmine had left her alone in the room.She boarded the elevator to the 2nd floor and ended up at the front of Jace’s door.She heaves before knocking as she wasn’t comfortable with going to meeting him casually.She heard Jace’s deep voice telling her to come in and she pushes the door open.She saw Jace sitted casually on the sofa,sipping wine from the wine glass.

“Jasmine”He called with a smile on his face.Jasmine also smiles back and awkwardly walks over to where he sat.

“It looks more lovely on you than I had thought”he said while staring at Jasmine with eyes she recognized too well.Just like how he had always looked at her seven years ago,like he could devour her whole.The look made her uncomfortable as she smiles sheepishly to him.Jace notices and quickly averted his hungry eyes away from her.

“I’m sorry,I must have made you uncomfortable”he apologized.

“No,no not at all”Jasmine said and chuckles before she takes a seat beside him.

“You must have picked up the dress yourself then”Jasmine said while she faces Jace.

“Yeah I did,I couldn’t ask anyone to pick just any clothes for you,I thought it would look perfect on you,thankfully it’s much better”Jace said with humor.It made Jasmine think otherwise of him.Has she been mistaken with all that happened seven years ago?

“Wow,how did you know it was my favorite color”Jasmine said.

“It is?,really that’s great,it is actually a coincidence but I think I was lucky to have come across it”Jace said.It was all a lie,he had known all Jasmine’s likes and dislikes from his source in Nighthawk.

“Yeah..”Jasmine paused and continues.

“Actually,I had come to explain everything to you,it would be selfish of me to not inform you of how I had actually ended up here”Jasmine said with a sad expression.

“Oh no Jasmine,you say it if you really want to,don’t feel obliged to tell me,I understand it all”Jace said while staring intently into Jasmine’s honey brown eyes.

“No,I’m okay with telling you,afterall you have been so good to me”Jasmine said with a smile and Jace nods.

Jasmine begins to explain everything to him.From how she had been deprived of a lot of things as a queen and how Rose had planned against her.She told him of the reason she had truly gone to Tree pack and how bad it ended while later led her to him.

“Wow..That’s…That’s terrible,I’m sorry you had gone through all these Jasmine”Jace said with empathy though he was aware of all those things she told him which he had taken part in unknowingly to her.

“Right now,I’m in need of your help and I promise to pay you back whenever I get out of this mess I’m in”Jasmine said.

“No you don’t worry about paying back,I will be glad to help with anything”he smiles reassuringly to her.Of course he wouldn’t let her leave,he had planned of getting her stuck with him forever.

“Thank you”Jasmine mutters.

“Anytime Jasmine”Jace said and stared at each other for a while before Jasmine took her eyes off him.

“So what are those things I will help with”Jace asked.

“Oh yeah,I need a place to stay in and I’m wondering if I could go with you back to your home”Jasmine said hesitantly.She really wasn’t feeling comfortable with all that’s going on but she has no choice.

“Sure,I can do that”Jace said.

“Oh…..thank you”Jasmine responded and they both seated quietly beside each other afterwards.

“I should go then”Jasmine said and gets up to leave.

“Oh right”Jace said and stands up also and walks Jasmine over to the door.

“Thank you once again Alpha Jace”Jasmine said and instantly exits the room.Jace walks back to his seat and smiles in satisfaction.


While Jasmine had gone to Jace,Cara had felt like going outside to have some fresh air.She boarded the elevator down to the first floor.She looks up around the luxurious settings of everywhere in the building as she wildened her eyes in amazement.The hotel had a lot of stops.She had passed by a mall,a gaming center,cafeteria and many more.While she was gazing at the top of the hotel,she mistakenly bumps into an older woman who held sunglasses on.

“I’m sorry ma’am”she immediately apologized and wanted to leave but the woman grabbed her by the hand.She watches as the woman brought out her phone and turns on the screen to check what was displayed on the screen.The woman’s face turned ugly when she sights what had brought her to the hotel.

“You whore”The woman shouts and before Cara could know it,the woman grabbed her hair in a swift.

“Ouch…”Cara cries out in pain as she felt pain in her head.People were starting to stare at the scene.Cara struggled with the woman as she tried to let the woman’s hands off her hair.

“You dare sleep with my husband”the woman said and Cara yelps.

“I don’t know what you are talking about,let go of me”she said.

Just then,a hand grabs the woman’s hand off Cara’s hair.The hand pulled Cara to him as her head hits lightly on his firm chest.Cara looks up and sees it was Sam,Alpha Jace’s driver.She doesn’t know why but she felt her heart beats race faster than it has ever did.
