Chapter 85

“I have been patient enough Maya,I deliberately kept quiet and watched you being bitchy but you know what,my patience is limited”Rose said without holding back.Maya only open her mouth,she was speechless.She knew Rose snide but she wasn’t expecting her to be so straightforward.Maya closed her eyes and take deep breaths.

“You must have misunderstood me your highness,I mean nothing,I’m sorry if it upsetted you”Maya said and Rose rolled her eyes.

“How about you get up from there and find a place beside Beautrice,least I remind you Maya,I’m not Jasmine and I won’t tolerate your thoughtless deportment”Rose said which upsetted Maya so much she wanted to scream but she held back as much as she could and stands up to stand beside Beautrice.

“Good”Rose said,satisfied with how Maya aide her order.Soon after,the salesperson comes in with the tea and another held the coffee.

“We won’t be needing the coffee anymore”Rose said before the salesperson could hand over the coffee to Maya.The woman watches from both Rose and Maya and felt the tension that had clouded the room.Maya nods in agreement but she could burst in anger if she allowed herself to.

The salesperson laid the cup of Tea in front of Rose and bows a little before leaving.Soon after,Madam Moore came back with rows of white dresses and two salesperson to assist Rose in trying them on.Madam Moore looked over at Maya with a questionable look but then she realized something must have transpired between the two women to see her favorite patron look so upset.

“Your highness….please try on these dresses,I’m sure you will find something that will look spectacular on you if not all”Madam Moore said.Rose nods and then placed down the Tea cup she held on the mini table in front of her.She stands up and head to the dressing room while the two sales assistant followed behind.

Rose tried on the first dress,it is a fishtail wedding dress that is fitted through the bodice,waist and hips before flaring out below the knee,resembling the shape of a fishtail just like it was called.Rose needed no one’s opinion to know the perfect dress but to please Madam Moore a little,she came out to show her.

“It looks so sexy on you your highness”Madam Moore said,proud of her own handiwork.Normally,a big store like hers should own dresses bought from seamstresses but she makes time to sew most of the clothes herself and all the clothes she brought to Rose were all sown by her.

“No,I should check out others”Rose blatantly condemned with her face twisted with repugnance.Madam Moore felt insulted with just the way Rose looked at the dress,she hated people who doesn’t appreciate her work even if it doesn’t suit them,she expected compliments at all times.

Rose goes in and comes out again with a A-line dress on.It is fitted at the top and flares towards the bottom,creating a streamlined look.It was adorned with diamond-like stones at the front.Just one look at the dress,Maya knew Rose would never chose something like that.It was too simple for a proud peacock like her.

“Elegante”Madam Moore complimented with her face lit.Truly,the dress doesn’t suit Rose but Madam Moore could never not compliment her work every time a shopper tries them on.Rose only rolled her eyes and went back into the dressing room to change into another dress.One of the sales woman brought a tea-length long sleeved dress to her first and Rose didn’t bother wearing it because she never pictured herself in something so retro-like.The sales woman brought over another dress for Rose which finally looks her taste.The women helped in putting it on as it was a lengthy bouffant.

Rose stared at the mirror satisfyingly as she knew she had found the perfect one she wanted.She smiles and turned her back to the mirror and shifted her neck backwards to look at the back view which is a deep V-neck illusion neckline.It is a sleeveless Lacey dress that has a low décolletage at the front,constricted bodice and long bouffant skirts.Rose imagined how she would walked up the aisle to meet her to-be husband and finally crowned the queen.

“I shouldn’t keep Madam Moore waiting”She said excitedly and walks out of the dressing room.

When Madam Moore sees how perfect the cloth looked on Rose and the smile she had one,she gasps and tries to think of words to describe how stunning Rose looked in it.

“Your highness,you look totally breathtaking,your skin did the dress lots of justice”Madam Moore complimented.Maya also found the clothes beautiful but she cared less to say anything,she was only thinking of storming off to her room at the moment.

“What do you think Maya”Rose inquired while looking mockingly at her.

“I think it’s perfect,just like you wanted….your highness”Maya said whiling faking a smile.

“How about you Beautrice,what do you think”Rose said sounding childish to others in the room.

“You look stunning your highness”Lydia said,also faking a smile.

“Thank you”Rose said before going back into the dressing room to change back into the pale peach dress she had worn to come for the shopping.

“Now we should head off for the perfect shoe”Rose said after she had gotten back from the dressing room.Maya who had thought she will be free in minutes wildens her eyes.

“I thought I would only help in getting ‘the dress’”Maya specified the last words more audibly.

“I never specified that,afterall you satisfied me with the dress so definitely you will also have a good eyes for the shoe and the jewelries”Rose said which left Maya speechless.

“I will have the dress delivered to the mansion your highness”Madam Moore said and Rose nods.

“You should make interesting dresses for the full moon festival,I want to be more impressed”Rose said which made Madam Moore smile.

“Not to worry your highness,I won’t fail to satisfy you”Madam Moore said and Rose nods while smiling before walking towards the room exit.They got out and Rose’s driver opens the backseat door for Rose to get in.

Maya gets into her car.If not for Lydia who takes a seat beside her,she would have let out her frustration but then,she needed to stay calm till whenever she gets to be free.
