Chapter 63

Maria sits wildly on the sofa.She had been watching her favorite movie series.A smile forms on her lips as she recalls what she had heard of Jasmine.

“Serves her right”Maria said while she grins.She stands up from the sofa and walks over to the kitchen to get a bottle of water.She opens the fridge and picked among the bottled water she had kept in her fridge since her last food restock.

Just as she turns around,she saw Mina sitted on the sofa staring intently at her.She jumps in fright at the sudden approach.

“You do have a way of making an entrance”Maria said and she laid her hand on her chest to calm her racing heart.She wondered why Mina would come to see her now after she had waited for two weeks for her to come.

“You said you would come that night and I waited,I even deprived myself of sleep to not wake up with you suddenly in my home again”Maria said and casually stride over to take a sit beside the woman.Mina watches how carefree Maria is around her unlike the day she had first met her.She had feared her but now she seems not to care so much of her presence.

“Have come to ask your decision Maria”Mina said and Maria frowns.She doesn’t get how people younger than she is will keep talking down to her.Do they see her as a joke that much?

“You didn’t tell me your name back then”Maria asked.

“I need to trust you first so I will be sure my identity is concealed”Mina said and Maria nods in understanding.

“Likewise the decision your asked me to make,I could die if things go wrong”Maria said.She doesn’t want to get into her employer’s bad side.

“Look Maria,Alpha…”Maria shuts her up before she could state her employer’s name.

“You want to get me killed”Maria said louder than she had talked before.

“Relax Maria,he’s not here right now and as for me,I don’t take orders from him and I will speak his name whenever I deem to”Mina said.Maria thought of that too,she doesn’t know why she’s always overreacting when her employer is not around.

“I also work for Alpha Jace”Mina said and Maria’s eyes wildens.

“Yes,I had said I didn’t take orders from him and that is because I’m his mate”Maria’s eyes wildens again with Mina’s revolution.

“Who are you truly….”Maria trails off while still surprised.

“I’m Mina”Mina said and watches intently how Maria’s face had paled by her words.Maria stayed quiet for a while trying to take it all in.She figured something and decides to talk.

“Then why do you need my help when you have a strong Alpha as your mate”Maria asked with furrowed brows.Mina tried to not let out her feelings.From the sadness she was feeling to the anger it turned to.She clenched her fist and heaves to let out her rage.

“I was rejected by him because he sees me as a lowly witch and he favors Jasmine so much he doesn’t care if I jump off the cliff”Mina kept her explanation simple even though she had a lot to say.Jace had not only rejected her but also turned her to his sex slave.He only needs her to satisfy his wolf whenever he craves their mate.All that had happened because of the Jace’s obsession towards Jasmine.Mina hated Jasmine with all her guts,she would do anything to end her miserable way of life and that is by eliminating Jasmine from the world,she thought maybe then she will get to be loved by her mate.

“So…you want to hire me because of your lover’s quarrel”Maria couldn’t hide the annoyed expression on her face by Mina’s words.She had truly been looked down on.Suddenly,she felt the need to run away from everything,maybe she doesn’t need a life of luxury anymore,she just wanted to live but only if she hadn’t signed a contract with Jace will she be able to go scot free.

“Right now Maria,Jasmine is with Jace,he doesn’t need your help with anything anymore,the only thing he wanted you for was to help him get Jasmine back but he had got her through his first plans,do you think Jace wouldn’t have made another plan of getting his way into anything he wants”Mina said also annoyed with how Maria had talked about her predicament as a joke.

“Look….Mina,I’m not interested in vouching to Alpha Jace about your love towards him,in fact I’m done with all this,I don’t need any of your money anymore”Maria said with raising her hands up in surrender.Before Maria could know it,Mina’s hand grips her neck tightly.Maria gasps for air as she was being choked.

“You should not look down on me you wretched fool”Mina said with gritted teeth.

“I’m…..I….O…Okay….”Maria said while being choked.Mina let go of her knowing she wouldn’t gain anything by killing Maria and it will only arise suspicion from Jace.Maria coughs as she inhales the air she had missed out on.

“Have you made a decision”Mina looks at Maria questioningly.Maria didn’t know what to say as she doesn’t want to be choked to death.Still,she intends to stick with Alpha Jace and doesn’t want to have anything to do with Mina.

“It seems like you have decided huh…and that is to stay with Jace”Mina said and before Maria could know it again,she had gotten at her front,standing few inches from where she stood.

“I can’t kill you Maria…not yet but I can at least make you feel pains you had never felt before”Mina whispered to Maria’s ear.

“Do not ever speak of me to anyone or you wouldn’t like what will happen to you next,remember I know your every move” Having said that,Mina disappeared right in front of Maria.Maria heaves out the breath she had been holding all along.She just understands why Laura had told her she was in a big mess.
