Chapter 91

“Are you sure you are okay”Sam said the fourth time after they had their sit on a tree root while still looking intently at her which made Cara a little uncomfortable.

“Yes I am”Cara said while nodding.

“Don’t mind Fiona,she is like that to everyone”Sam said.

“It’s okay”Cara said and flashed him a smile which made him smile back.

“Were you here to practice what I taught you the last time”Sam asked.

“No…I mean yes,i got tired of staying indoor and wanted to have ‘a combat fun’”Cara emphasized the last part which made Sam gave out a short laugh.

“I could help with that”Sam offered and Cara instantly recalls the last time he had taught her little of combat.She recalled his hands and breath on her body.She couldn’t go through that phase anymore so she rejected his offer.

“No I’m good,I think I should head off back inside”Cara said trying to get away from him as she was getting suffocated.Sam also wanted to get away from her so he didn’t argue.

“Alright then,I will come see you later then”Sam said which made Cara wilden her eyes.

“Huh…is that ‘later’going to be tonight”Cara asked shamelessly,already imagining them being in a private space together.

“Do you want me over tonight”Sam flirted without meaning to.Cara fell silent and wondered if she should say what she really wanted to say.

“No,that’s ridiculous”She said and laughs hysterically which later seem awkward.She didn’t picture herself pushing herself into a man and she wouldn’t do it.

“Sorry” she said and turns back to leave.

“It’s not ridiculous,it’s actually the best time of the day”Sam said which made Cara stop in her track.Sam had begin to walk closer to her and in a split second,he had gotten so close which made Cara start hiccuping.

“You said”Cara said while she was still hiccuping.

“I could come tonight,I want to”Sam said and fell another reign of silence.

“I….”Cara was about to say something but Sam cuts her off.

“Please don’t decline”Sam said,his looks were expressing how much he wanted her to be his and Cara could understand it but she doesn’t want to step into anything that would affect Jasmine or herself emotionally or physically.

“I should go Sam”Cara said with her face showing no certain expression.Cara said and begins to retreat back into the mansion.While she walks away,she felt Sam’s gaze boring into her back which made her regret not telling him to come over but she still thinks it was the right decision.

When she got back to her room,she locks the door and it was her time to sniff.Tears wails in her eyes as she fell hard on her bed.The thought weighed her mind which made her constantly shift on the bed uncomfortably.


Jace thought of going to Jasmine’s room to share some moments with her so he walks briskly over to her door and knocks.He knocked thrice but heard no one answered which made him decide on opening the door but it turned out to be locked from inside.He wondered what was going on and he begins to knock continuously until Jasmine summons the strength to go open the door for whoever was disturbing her peace.

“Alpha Jace”She said utterly surprised because she had expected it to be Cara knocking,thinking she must have hurt herself in the room.Jace sees her bulged eyes and how tired she looked.

“I must have woken you up,I’m sorry about that”Jace said.

“It’s no problem,do you have something to discuss with me”Jasmine said with her voice hoarse.

“No,just wanted to check up on you,please go back to sleeping”Jace said and Jasmine nods.

“Alright,I will see you at dinner”Jasmine said and Jace flashed her a smile before leaving.She closed the door and goes back to laying on her bed.She was feeling a little sick and her head is banging really hard.She laid a hand on her head as the pain hits her once again.She thought of sleeping more but the pain couldn’t let her sleep.She laid still while her eyes were left open.

When it was time for dinner,Cara came knocking on her door but heard no response so she pushed the door open and goes in.She saw Jasmine still asleep which surprised her cause she had left her sleeping in the afternoon as well,she knew Jasmine doesn’t sleep for that long.She walks closer to Jasmine and stretched her hand to lay on Jasmine’s forehead.

“Oh my”She said as she felt Jasmine’s skin burning.She figured the cries must have resulted in her getting the fever.Cara gets up and goes out to look for help.While she walks through the hall,she met Fiona on the way.

“I see you got Sam look after you all day”Fiona said with her arms crossed and face twisted with disdain.

“Please,I need your help,her highness had come up with a fever”Cara said with urgency but Fiona rolled her eyes with a sneer evident on her face.

“How is that any of my business”Fiona said and walks over without saying any other thing.Cara thinks for a while before heading to the dinning room.She saw Jace already sitted,waiting for them to come down before he could eat.Jace asked her of Jasmine when he saw she was alone and Cara told him what was going on.Jace had rushed out of his seat and followed Cara to Jasmine’s room.He made a call to his doctor to come over right away.After almost an hour,the doctor arrived and checked on Jasmine.He gave her treatment and just then,Cara could calm down.She felt so sorry and stupid to have been thinking of a man when Jasmine had been in despair.Later that night,Cara slept over at Jasmine’s room to take better care of her.
