Aurora's POV
Honestly, I saw him wanting to be angry but my anger was no longer the same as yesterday because Dante was beside me. I immediately held Dante’s hand and proved that my heart was no longer hurt.
“I know you still love me. You’re just showing that you have a husband, Aurora. I hope we can start our relationship better,” said Robert. He was so confident that I could only smile lopsidedly.
“What did you say? Hey, wake up Robert! Don’t you see that I’m very compatible with my husband? I’ve been saved by my husband from the crimes you guys committed. In fact, I’ll be a mother soon. So I hope you get out of my life. I did love you but that’s no longer the case now. I’m happy with my life now, even much happier.”
I was so proud to say that in front of Robert and Dante. I could only smile seeing Robert who might realize his mistake. But I also didn’t want to bother. He was an adult and thought well. I love him so much that I can't think clearly about what is love and what is lust.
I left Robert and headed to the cafeteria. “Do you want to eat here?” I asked worriedly if Dante would mind.
“Why not? Are only students allowed to eat here?” He asked me back.
“I mean, you’re wearing clothes like you’re going to the office while here, everyone is wearing casual clothes. I don’t want you to be insecure.” I just said what I was worried about. Besides, no one here wears a suit except Dante.
“No problem. I’ll still accompany you to eat here.”
There were even a few eyes on Dante but Dante was relaxed and didn’t think too much. It was me who thought that. I immediately ordered two bowls of chicken noodles complete with avocado juice while Dante only asked for mineral water.
“You haven’t been here for a long time and now you’re holding hands with an unusual man,” said the chicken noodle seller.
“Well, he is my husband.”
The chicken noodle seller looked surprised. But I didn’t need to think about what made him curious. I immediately sat down next to Dante. Not long after, my order of chicken noodles arrived. I saw Dante also eating the chicken noodles. "Is it good?"
"Well, it's quite good. After this, shall we go straight to the hospital?" He asked.
"Yes, I just want to eat these chicken noodles."
I was able to enjoy the chicken noodles that I hadn't eaten for a long time. Because I only focused on my problem and didn't think too much about the nutritional care for me and the fetus in my womb.
After finishing eating the chicken noodles, I headed to the hospital. I entered the obstetrician's room.
"How are you, ma'am?"
"I'm fine, Doc. I don't feel dizzy or anything else. I can eat comfortably." I explained to the doctor. Because she must want to know how I am now after the last time I came here in a condition that was not good enough.
"Ah, I'm glad to hear that. Now let's do an ultrasound!"
I was taken to the ultrasound room. I couldn't wait for it. Because even though it was small, I could still see the fetus in my womb through the ultrasound screen. The doctor stared at the monitor for quite a while and I was also curious. “How is it, Doc?”
“Hm, it looks like you’re pregnant with twins, ma’am. Not just one,” said the doctor.
“Huh? Twins, Doc?” I was surprised by what the doctor just said.
“Yes, my prediction is that you’re pregnant with triplets.”
“Huh? Triplets?” I was even more surprised, as was Dante’s facial expression, which was no less surprised.
“Yes, ma’am. If it wasn’t too obvious yesterday but now it’s a little bit obvious that you’re pregnant with triplets at once. Congratulations!”
I got up with Dante’s help. I still couldn’t believe what the doctor just said. How could I be pregnant with triplets at once? I don’t even have a family history of twins.
“Doc, is it possible? No one in my family is pregnant with twins?” I asked to make sure. Dante didn’t answer either, maybe he was also curious. It could be that no one in his family had twins either.
“The chances of a couple who don’t have a family history of twins to have twins are indeed small. Couples without genetic factors can only experience identical twin pregnancies. Because, in the case of fraternal twin pregnancies, there are genetic factors that play a role. Other factors are also high-protein food intake, and consuming zinc regularly. Because protein will help build cells and support increased plasma volume. Meanwhile, zinc functions to increase sperm production and quality. Good sperm quality will increase their chances of fertilizing eggs. So, having a twin pregnancy, even without genetic inheritance in the family, is not impossible. "
The doctor's explanation just now was quite understandable to me. Maybe this was my destiny. So now I'm pregnant with three at once. Wow, I never imagined this before.
My agenda after leaving the hospital was to go to the cake shop. I still couldn't believe it and I held my stomach.
"Do you remember what the doctor said earlier that you are also pregnant with triplets? So you have to take good care of it. I don't want you to be arbitrary and think about your condition."
Dante rubbed my stomach. He really cared about me and also my children in my womb. I have never even felt comfortable being close to a man. Robert is even far inferior to Dante. I am very grateful to have Dante as my husband.
