Chapter 33
Aurora's POV
Today, I’m eight months pregnant. My stomach is starting to feel tight, and I can feel the signs that my time to give birth is getting closer. In the next few weeks, I’ll be giving birth to three babies at once—a journey full of hope, but also fear.
As I sat on the couch, Dante came over with a suggestion. “Aurora, why don’t we go shopping for baby supplies now? If we wait nine months, I’m afraid they’ll come out soon, and we won’t have anything prepared,” he suggested enthusiastically.
"Okay, I want to go for a walk too. But I want to invite my mother. She knows better,” I replied, feeling that my mother’s support was much needed. There was a lot to prepare, after all, and I wanted to make sure everything was ready before they arrived.
Dante nodded in agreement. “Sure, that’s a great idea. I’ll call your mom and see if she can come along. We can spend some time together while shopping for baby supplies.”
“Thank you, Dante. I feel more at ease with you and my mom’s support in preparing for all of this,” I said, grateful for the concern he showed.
We immediately called my mom and talked about our plans. Mom seemed happy and immediately agreed to join us. A few moments later, we got ready and headed to a nearby mall that had a variety of baby supply stores.
When we arrived, I felt inspired by the variety of choices available. Every entrance to the baby store greeted us with bright colors and cute supplies. Mom and Dante helped me pick out a variety of essential items, from baby clothes to bath supplies to feeding equipment.
As we shopped, we talked, joked, and laughed. My mom gave me a lot of helpful advice, and I felt more alert with her around. I could feel the happiness between us, a simple but meaningful moment.
As we chose the baby’s transportation, such as a stroller and a crib, I soaked in every detail of the moment. “I hope they’ll love it,” I said, imagining the babies’ happy faces when they saw all the preparations we had made.
Dante seemed so happy to be able to help me. “They’ll feel comfortable and loved,” he said, reassuringly.
As the day grew dark and our shopping bags filled up, I felt relieved and happy. We had managed to get everything we needed to welcome our babies. Today wasn’t just about shopping; it was the first step into a new adventure in my life.
With hearts full of hope, as we prepared to go home, I was confident that we could face any challenges that came our way as a family.
After a fun shopping trip, we finally made our way home. “Aurora, you have to wash the baby’s clothes before they wear them. Even though they’re new, their skin will be sensitive, so make sure everything is clean,” my mother said in a gentle tone, giving me the advice I always hoped for as a mother.
I nodded, appreciating the thoughtfulness and experience she shared with me. “I will do that, Mom. Thank you for your advice,” I replied, feeling grateful to have my mother’s guidance at times like this.
After dropping my mother off at her house, I returned home. As soon as I opened the door, everything started to feel more real; the small house was slowly filling up with new items for our babies’ arrival.
I took out all the shopping items that I had quite a lot of from my bag, checking them one by one in awe. There were so many cute clothes, toiletries, and other items neatly arranged. However, after seeing all of that, I felt a little tired and tense.
“I’ll let the maid do the laundry tomorrow,” said Dante, who had just joined me and was standing at the door helping me carry the items.
“Really?” I asked, a little surprised. “I don’t want to bother anyone. I can take care of it myself.”
Insisting on not burdening others, I felt a sense of responsibility within me—but looking at the amount of stuff, I also realized that I needed more help right now.
“It’s not a big deal, Aurora. We’re here to help you. Besides, they’re used to this kind of thing. Why not just use their services?” Dante replied in a reassuring tone.
I took a deep breath, slowly realizing that it was practical to take help. “Okay, I agree. I’ll send the maids over later and tell them to wash everything. Thank you, Dante. I appreciate it.”
Dante smiled, his eyes shining with joy at being able to help me without judgment. “No problem. Let’s just relax for a while while we wait, and then we can make plans for tomorrow.”
Exhausted but happy, I sat down with him on the couch. Dante’s presence gave me a sense of calm amidst my preparations for the birth. These little moments—his presence by my side and his willingness to help—were all important parts of preparing for the arrival of our children.
Dante's POV
A few weeks passed, and I was getting more and more impatient for the birth of my triplets. Seeing Aurora excited about shopping for baby supplies and taking care of herself gave me a boost. Every time we went shopping together, I felt like we were preparing for a new adventure, something bigger than the two of us.
We also did prenatal exercises regularly, and although Aurora sometimes felt a little tired, her enthusiasm for giving birth naturally never faded. "I want to give birth naturally, even though I'm giving birth to triplets," she said with determination.
But behind her smile, I could sense a little anxiety inside her. Of course, giving birth to twins is not easy, and it was natural to worry. "Aurora, don't hesitate to tell me if you need anything, okay? I'll always be here to support you," I said, trying to reassure her.
