Chapter 90

Aurora's POV
Their understanding and togetherness made me proud. They were a small team that supported and helped each other. It was not uncommon to see them playing together without much trouble—I only heard them disagree occasionally, but it was usually nothing serious.
After the kids had gone off to draw and play in the hospital area, I sat down next to Dante. “They love you so much, you know that?” I said, touching Dante’s hand.
“Yes, they are the reason I got better so quickly,” he said with a deeper smile. “I want to go home and do all the normal things with them again.”
With the new spirit in the room, I feel confident that together, we will be able to overcome all the trials that lie ahead. Both—the love of the children and the support of each other—will make us stronger in facing it.
After three days of treatment in the hospital, Dante was finally allowed to go home. A big smile lit up his face as the doctor gave him the go-ahead, and seeing him made my heart soar with joy. Our family was welcome home, and this was a moment I had been looking forward to.
“I’m so happy to be home,” Dante said gratefully, his expression bright. “After all this, I cherish every moment more than ever.”
“Let’s go home,” I said excitedly, holding his hand as we walked out of the hospital. On the way home, all the anxiety and stress I had felt earlier seemed to melt away. There was a sense of peace flowing through me, and I felt grateful for every step we took.
Before I knew it, we were in the car. As I glanced over at Dante, I couldn’t help but feel lucky. When I think about my life so far, I realize that I probably wouldn’t be this happy without him. Marrying Dante was one of the most important decisions of my life, and God’s destiny is truly beautiful.
I often think back to how our love journey began. At first, it was a bit complicated because he was my sister’s future husband, but over time, our love grew beautifully, and we built everything together. I never once regretted that decision.
On the way home, we talked about many things. We shared laughter and sweet memories, as well as hopes for the future. “I will do better, and you can really count on me,” Dante said, determined to be better after everything that happened.
“And I will always support you, now and forever,” I replied, feeling our closeness grow stronger. Every word felt sincere and meaningful, affirming our commitment to each other. In a difficult situation like this, supporting each other is the most important thing, and I know that no matter what happens, we will face it together.
As we stepped into the house, a warm atmosphere greeted us. The children ran around, expressing their happiness at Dante’s return. The cheerful expressions on their faces made it feel as if all the challenges we had faced so far had just been erased. They crowded around Dante, hugging him tightly and trying to make him feel better.
“Daddy, come play with us!” Ronald exclaimed, looking hopeful. “We’ve been waiting for you to come home!”
I smiled at their interaction. “Yes, we’ll play together after Papa takes a short break,” I said, remembering that Dante had just come home from the hospital and needed some time to fully recover.
“I can’t wait to play!” Roline shouted happily. “We have so much to tell you!”
After changing his clothes and resting, Dante sat on the sofa and the children immediately embraced him beside me. “I want you to know, even though I was sick, nothing means more to Papa than all of you,” he said, his smile genuine.
With gratitude, I looked at my little family with love. Every moment strengthened the feeling that we were an inseparable team. Our togetherness, the simple moments we built, all of that formed memories that would live on in our hearts.
We used that little day to share stories, do simple activities, and celebrate Dante’s return home. Unknowingly, we laughed about the little stupidities of the past, joked about the activities we had done during Dante’s absence, and planned little adventures for the future.
That night, as the children slept soundly, I sat down next to Dante, who seemed more energetic after relaxing a bit and spending time with the children. “Thank you, Aurora,” he said, his voice soft. “You are my best support. I promise to take care of you and the children.”
“I will always be here for you, Dante. We will continue to go through every challenge in this life together, giving our best for our family,” I replied, putting my arm around him. I felt so lucky to have a partner like him by my side.
With our commitment to supporting each other, I was confident that we would face whatever the future brought. We were a unit that had gone through many trials, and our love would continue to strengthen us to build a more beautiful life with our children.
I saw our love creating a happy family, and that moment was very precious to me. In my heart, I was determined to maintain happiness amidst the existing challenges, and to create beautiful memories with Dante and the children.
The days ahead may bring new challenges, but I am sure that with love as our main strength, we will be able to get through it. Every step we take forward is an opportunity to get closer, and together, we will build a more meaningful life.
The next day, Dante's first day back to work after his recovery in the hospital. I felt mixed feelings; on one hand, I was proud to see him determined to return to his routine, but on the other hand, I was worried about the burden he had to face.
As we got ready, I gave him encouragement. "I always support you, Dante. If you need help, I am ready to help anytime," I said, hoping my words could give him a little extra encouragement.
