Chapter 97

Aurora's POV
A year later, Dante asked for sweet and sour shrimp. Even as I became better at cooking, I had no trouble preparing it. While working in the kitchen, I felt happy to be able to provide a dish that Dante liked. When it was finished, the refreshing aroma of sweet and sour shrimp filled the room, and when Dante tasted it, his smile was like the best compliment I could have received.
“This is delicious, Aurora! I am so happy!” he said, savoring every bite. “Please, prepare this as a lunch box for the office, okay?”
Of course, I happily prepared everything he needed, including neat packaging for his lunch box at the office. Seeing him enjoy the lunch I made was a joy in itself for me.
In addition to preparing Dante’s lunch box, today was also very meaningful because my twins, Roland, Ronald, and Roline, would be starting their first day at kindergarten. We were all so excited!
After finishing preparing Dante’s lunch box, I turned to the kids. I prepared their lunch boxes with love, adding their favorite healthy snacks and drinks. The three twins were very excited and couldn’t wait to start a new adventure at school.
When the time came, we headed to school. Seeing the three of them wearing cute little uniforms made my heart bloom. They all looked at the school building with sparkling eyes, their faces full of curiosity.
“Mom, can we play with our new friends there?” Ronald asked excitedly.
“Yes, honey! You will meet new friends and try lots of fun things!” I replied, trying to provide support and encouragement.
When I arrived at school, I took them into the building. The atmosphere around was full of laughter and activity. The school looked cheerful with fun colors. Some children had gathered, and the teachers looked ready to welcome them.
When I escorted them to class, they looked excited and held hands. "Mom, are you going to stay?" Roline asked, her face a little hesitant.
"I'll wait outside, but after class is over, we'll go home together and tell everything you did today, okay?" I said with a smile.
Seeing them start to interact with other children and get to know their teachers, I felt a little relieved. The anxiety began to subside, and instead, a sense of pride filled my heart. They had all grown well and were ready to take on a new chapter in their education.
After a sweet goodbye and a warm hug, I waved goodbye to them as I entered the classroom. Today was not only special for them but also for me. Seeing children start a new step is very precious, and I am sure they will succeed in going through this phase with enthusiasm and joy.
Coming home, I felt how meaningful the little moments in life are. With Dante bringing sweet and sour shrimp and the kids starting their educational journey, today felt extra special. It felt like every step we took, every little thing we did, was building the foundation for a future full of beautiful memories.
When I got home, I remembered how quickly time had flown by. It felt like just yesterday I was getting married and then welcoming my kids. Now, they are all grown up and ready to explore a new world at school.
After cleaning the kitchen and rearranging the house, I decided to take some time out. Reflecting on the steps we have taken as a family, I felt incredibly grateful. The challenges we have faced have taught us the importance of teamwork and communication, and supporting each other.
While waiting for the kids to return from school, I decided to prepare something special. I took out a notebook and wrote down my gratitude for today—thanks for every good moment we have had and for all the blessings we have received. I wanted to make sure that the kids also remembered how important it is to be grateful for things that may seem trivial.
The remaining time before they went home I spent making some healthy snacks, like fruit muffins and cut vegetables. At that moment, the thought of full happiness in my heart turned into a plan to make sure that our home is always a comfortable and warm place to grow.
When finally the sound of children's laughter and joy echoed through the door, my heart felt like it was shaking. "Mom! We're home!" Ronald shouted, followed by the cheerful voices of his siblings.
I immediately opened the door and greeted them with a big smile. "How was school today, kids?" I asked as I stepped inside.
"It was so much fun! We made new friends and learned a lot!" Roline replied, her eyes shining with joy.
"And Mom, we also drew pictures to keep in class!" Roland added proudly.
"Wow, that's amazing! Let's see the pictures!" I replied, happy to welcome their enthusiasm.
We spent time together, telling stories about their experiences at school, while enjoying the snacks that had been prepared. The warm and laughter-filled atmosphere created a stronger bond in our family.
Every little moment was a reminder that our existence with each other is a priceless treasure. In a journey of life full of challenges and happiness, I know that we will always be able to go through everything together—as a family that supports and loves each other.
We step into the future with confidence, ready to face every precious experience that will come, building beautiful memories in a love that will never fade.
“Aurora, I plan to throw a small party to celebrate my new promotion. Tomorrow we will go to my father’s house to eat together, and I want to invite your father too,” said Dante excitedly.
“That’s a great idea! It will definitely be fun to gather and celebrate this achievement with the family,” I replied enthusiastically. The image of a warm and happy togetherness began to fill my mind.
The next day, we all gathered at my father-in-law’s house. As soon as I arrived, I felt the atmosphere was very comfortable. The house was filled with joy and laughter, and the aroma of delicious food greeted us as the sun warmed the earth.
