Chapter 92
Aurora's POV
The day ended with many smiles and joy. While cleaning up my drawing tools, my heart felt warm because of this simple experience. I prayed that we would be able to continue this journey together, building a better future filled with love, hope, and dreams that could come true one by one.
When night fell, I felt mixed feelings while waiting for Dante to return. When he finally opened the door with a gloomy face, my feelings immediately sank. Even though he had said he would be home late, seeing him like that made my heart heavy.
“What about today?” I asked, trying to create a more positive atmosphere between us.
Dante took a deep breath, his eyes looking tired. “Today… the situation is getting more complicated,” he said slowly, explaining to me. “We were forced to lay off employees to maintain the stability of the company.” He shook his head, as if feeling guilty about the decision.
“And the person who committed the corruption has not been found yet,” he continued, his voice full of uncertainty. “This is so worrying, Aurora. Everyone in the company is feeling stressed.”
The worries in Dante’s mind felt suffocating. I knew how heavy a burden he was carrying as a leader, and I gave myself to support him in this stressful situation. “I know it’s hard, honey,” I said softly, reaching out to take his hand. “But you’re doing the best you can.”
Dante looked at me, and in that moment, I could feel the heaviness in his heart. “I feel like I’m not doing enough. There are so many people depending on this company… and on us,” he said, his voice wavering, reflecting the uncertainty and pressure he was feeling.
“We may not be able to control everything, but we can try our best,” I said firmly, trying to give him encouragement and reassurance. “Remember, we’re here and we’ll support you, no matter what. We’re a team—and tough times like this are when we need to be strong.”
He seemed to consider my words, and I could see a glimmer of hope beginning to creep into his face. “Sometimes, I feel so stressed and scared about the decisions I have to make,” he said, looking down for a moment. “I don’t want to disappoint anyone.”
“I understand, honey. But you’re not alone. We’re all going through this together,” I said again, reaching for his hand and holding it tightly. “And no matter how hard things get, you have me and the kids here to support you. We will find a way to get through this.”
He looked at me with a desire to trust, and I could feel the tension between us begin to melt. “Thank you, Aurora. Your presence really gives me strength,” he said, his voice steady even though the weight on his shoulders was still there.
“Every decision you make is a step towards improvement. It may be difficult, but I am confident that you will come to a wise decision. We can do this one step at a time,” I said, trying to be encouraging.
By sharing our worries and hopes, I felt that our relationship was growing stronger. In this difficult situation, listening and supporting each other meant so much. We both knew that the challenges ahead might be great, but mutual love and understanding would help us through any difficulties.
I chose to stay positive, believing that every step we would take for the future, both for our family and the company, would be a step that would not be in vain. With love and cooperation, we would be able to overcome all the trials that lay ahead, and emerge stronger than ever.
“Thank you, Aurora. You and the children are the reason I keep fighting. Now more than ever, I want to make sure our future is secure,” he replied, his voice full of hope even though the burden on his shoulders was still heavy.
As we sat together in the living room, discussing the challenges ahead, I could feel how important it was to support each other in these difficult times. We are a team, and we will face this together.
With our passion and care for each other, I am confident that we can get through this. Although the road ahead may seem difficult, the love we share will help light the way and lead us to a brighter future. I pray that Dante can stay calm and trust that everything will be okay, and that we will find a way to overcome all the challenges ahead.
As a wife, I have also learned a lot. In the past, my main priority was only myself and perhaps the closest people in my life. But now, my responsibilities have grown. I have four precious children and am also a wife to Dante. Hopefully, I can always be a wife that my husband and our children can be proud of and rely on.
Every day is a new lesson. With all the life that I have to face, I have learned to manage my time and energy better. I want to be a role model for my children, teaching them the right values, and setting an example of how to face challenges with courage.
Moreover, after my mother passed away, I felt a little empty in my life. The loss of someone who meant so much to me made me reflect on the importance of resilience. Although my heart feels empty without her, I know that I must be a strong woman like my mother. She was a great role model, teaching me the values of love, perseverance, and sacrifice.
“Thank you, Mom, for being a great role model,” I whispered to myself, remembering all her teachings. Although my mother is no longer with me physically, her memories and wisdom live on in me. I am determined to carry on that legacy—teaching my children to love, respect, and fight with all their might for their dreams.
Every step I take now is to ensure that our family can be protected and thrive amidst challenges. With strong love and a commitment to support each other, I am confident that we can overcome any obstacles that come our way.
That night, as I gazed at my children’s sleeping faces, I felt at ease. Although life is not always easy, the bond we share is a source of strength. With every beat of my heart, I make sure that I pour out my sincere love for them and always try to be the best mother and wife I can be.
