Chapter 20

Aurora's POV
“This room hasn’t changed, huh, Mom?”
My mother smiled and stroked my hair. “Of course not. This room will remain the same as your sister’s room.”
My mother understands her daughters the best. I seldom fight with Molly because my mother is fair and never differentiates between the two of us.
“Oh yeah, do you feel something strange with Molly?” I asked my mother out of curiosity.
“What do you mean, Aurora?” My mother asked me back.
“I mean, when she came home yesterday, did you see anything strange about her?” I tried to explain to my mother.
“Well, I did catch something strange but I haven’t been able to get it yet. I just pray that wherever she is she can get the best place. For you too. You’re pregnant with triplets, of course. That’s something amazing. I won’t be long before I become a grandmother of three twins.”
My mother looked very happy. I was also relieved by that because my mother had wanted to have grandchildren from Molly if Molly was married. But fate had other plans, I was the one who married Dante first.
After taking some of my files, my mother and I approached Dante and also my father who were chatting in the living room.
“Come on, let’s eat first! I’ve prepared food for all of you,” my mother said then held my hand as if she didn’t want me to fall.
I sat down walking with Dante. I didn’t care if this was too obvious in front of my parents.
“Are you guys having problems?” My mother asked.
I didn’t want to answer and just ate.
“Actually no, ma’am. It’s just that Aurora was offended by me yesterday,” Dante replied. What did he mean?
I frowned, but I didn’t want to answer anything; I was still enjoying the food.
“Ah, marriage often has disagreements. If it’s just a misunderstanding, it can be resolved by apologizing.” My father also spoke up.
“Yes, Aurora. I apologize. I said you couldn’t cook yesterday not because I was insulting you but because I wanted to invite you to eat out. But since you were already angry I let you vent your anger.”
I smiled lopsidedly. Tch, Dante is so clever at finding excuses and pretending to be nice in front of my parents. I still didn’t want to answer anything.
“Aurora!” My mother reprimanded me.
“Can we eat in peace and comfort?” I rebelled because I felt that eating needed a comfortable and calm atmosphere. Just a problem like that was already like a very big problem that made me nauseous.
Both my father, mother, and also Dante finally did not want to answer anything. We ate quietly until we finished. But after that, my father again invited me to talk as if he was a mediator who wanted to be a hero between my problem and Dante's.
"It's okay, Dad. I can solve our own problems," said Dante, refusing to interfere with my father in solving our problems.
"Well, I hope you can solve your problems. Besides, this is not a matter of cheating or domestic violence so it's not a big problem that has to drag on," my father chimed in again.
Dante then invited me to go home. Actually, I was lazy because I had to go back home with him. If the atmosphere was like this, I would not feel comfortable being close to him.
"Where are you going again?" Dante asked when we had just gotten into the car.
"Going home," I answered in a curt tone.
"I know I was wrong. I apologize. What can I do so that you will forgive me?"
Dante looked at me with an expression full of regret after I answered him loudly. He knew that he had made a mistake that made me angry.
"I'm sorry," he said softly. "What can I do to make it right?"
I thought for a moment before finally answering, "I need some time and space to think about it."
Dante nodded in understanding before continuing the drive home. As the car drove, I began to think about the details. Would I be willing to forgive? Only time will tell.
We arrived home and I immediately changed clothes. The drive from my parents' house had made me hungry, probably because I was also pregnant with triplets and I was often hungry. I didn't care what Dante wanted to do.
*
A few days later my stomach hurt so bad. While I was at home alone Dante also went to the office. I tried to reach for my phone but it fell and died. I wanted to scream but I couldn't. Then I tried to scream but I couldn't. My stomach hurt so bad I couldn't even do anything. "Help!" I said softly, but of course, no one heard me.
I crawled. Maybe the servant in this house could find me, but he never came.
Click.
"Aurora!"
I looked in front of the door, it was Dante. He then carried me, and he took me out. I felt very weak. My vision was also not very clear. The only sound I heard was Dante taking me to the hospital.
When I arrived at the hospital, I was immediately given an IV, and I could still hear everything around me, including Dante's conversation with the doctor, even though my eyes were closed.
"What happened to my wife, Doc?" Dante asked. If I heard his voice, he was very worried.
"Your wife is in shock. Maybe she thinks about a lot of things that make her feel stressed. I told you that she shouldn't feel stressed because it will greatly affect the babies in her womb."
I really wanted to open my eyes, but for some reason, I couldn't. I could hear but I couldn't see. I couldn't move my whole body either. I was so weak right now.
