Chapter 98
Aurora's POV
The children immediately ran to the garden, playing happily. Seeing them running and laughing filled my heart with happiness. They were happy to find a new atmosphere and play with their cousins.
In the middle of the crowd, my father-in-law and my father seemed to be chatting. I approached them, then kissed both parents' hands. "It's nice to see you all gathered in one place," I said.
Dante appeared beside me, ready to welcome the guests who had arrived. "Thank you for coming, Dad and everyone," he said while greeting. There was enthusiasm and gratitude on his face.
Not long after, the guests began to arrive, and the atmosphere became more lively. We were all involved in warm conversations, reminiscing about funny moments, and sharing stories.
When dinner was served, we agreed to sit together and enjoy the delicious dishes. Not only the food was enjoyed, but also the essence of family chatting with each other. At that moment, I felt very grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate a precious moment like this with my loved ones.
After dinner, Dante stood up and asked for everyone's attention. "Thank you for coming tonight to celebrate my promotion as President Director. The support and love of family is the most important thing for me in facing all challenges. Let’s continue to support each other and celebrate each other’s achievements!” she said excitedly.
The sound of applause and cheers echoed through the crowd, bringing a sense of happiness to the room. We all smiled at each other, feeling how meaningful this moment was. Amidst all the busyness of life, this atmosphere reminded us of the priceless love and togetherness.
As the night went on, we shared laughter, stories, and good times. Even the kids joined in the fun, running around, full of joy. I knew these were moments that would be remembered, not only as a celebration of achievement, but also a reminder that behind every success, there is a loving family.
By coming together, we created memories that would make our relationship stronger. This was a new beginning for us, a step forward to continue supporting each other and celebrating every success, small and big, that would come our way.
“Mom, I love being here,” Cherry said with sparkling eyes, showing how happy she was to be with family. Her wide smile made me feel warm in my heart.
Seeing the joy on the children’s faces and the warm atmosphere of the night, I was moved to invite them to stay at my father-in-law’s house. “How about we all stay here tonight?” I asked Dante and the children.
“Yay! I want to sleep here!” Roline shouted, followed by Ronald and Roland who were also excited. Their voices echoed, creating an atmosphere full of joy. I could feel that they wanted to feel this moment longer.
Dante nodded in agreement. “That’s a great idea, Aurora. We can spend more time with our family. After all, this is a special moment.” He seemed happy with the decision.
After everyone agreed, we prepared for a fun night. We gathered the necessary items and set up the beds in the living room. The atmosphere became cheerful with the laughter and jokes of the children.
That night, we spent time gathering on the sofa, telling stories, singing, and chatting. The sound of the children’s laughter made the atmosphere even warmer and full of joy. I felt so grateful to see everyone enjoying this togetherness.
The evening activities continued with small games. Every time we played, the laughter filled the room, transforming into a deep happiness for all of us. As the night grew late, we said good night and planned fun activities to do the next day.
Before I closed my eyes, I looked at the loving faces sleeping around me. Gratitude filled my heart, realizing that moments like these are what make life more meaningful. With a family that loves and supports each other, I am sure we can overcome every challenge with courage.
And that night, as the gentle breeze enveloped the house, I felt our love and happiness would continue to grow, building unforgettable memories every day. We were an inseparable team, and together, we would explore every adventure that awaited us in the future.
The next day, after we returned from my father-in-law's house, I decided to take the children to visit my mother's grave and Molly's. This moment felt important to me, as a way to remember those who had passed, as well as a reminder to the children about the love and legacy of family.
After preparing everything needed, we set off with full hope. As we walked, I looked at Cherry and remembered how much she looked like Molly when she was a little girl. Her smile, her facial expressions, all of them reminded me of the good times. It warmed my heart to think that a part of Molly was still alive through Cherry.
When we arrived at the cemetery, we all felt at ease. A quiet, respectful atmosphere enveloped us as we walked toward the resting place of my mother and Molly. The children seemed curious, and I could sense how important it was for them to understand the sacrifice and love that was in our family.
Dante and I stood in front of the cemetery, inviting the children to join us. “Let’s pray for Grandma and Aunt Molly,” I said softly, holding their hands. “They have always loved us, and today we will remember them all.”
Dante and I said our prayers, as the children closed their eyes solemnly. The atmosphere was momentarily filled with peace and love. The children, even though they were still young, were learning to appreciate the memories and relationships of this family.
When we were done, Roline asked, “Mom, why are we praying for Grandma and Aunt Molly?” Meanwhile, Ronald and Roland looked curious.
“Because our grandmother and aunt mean so much to us. They always love us even though they’re not here anymore,” I replied, trying to explain with compassion.
