Chapter 64

Aurora's POV
Seeing the physical differences between them makes me feel sad. I continue to hope and pray that Roline can grow up healthy and strong like Roland and Ronald. However, I feel grateful because between these three children, a strong spiritual bond has been formed.
Roland and Ronald love Roline very much. They are always willing to help Roline when she faces difficulties. When I see them helping each other—Roller tries to support Roline when she walks, then Ronald runs to bring her toys—my heart is filled with warmth. The three children are surrounded by love and togetherness, fighting the uncertainty of starting a new family.
I know that even though Roline has challenges in terms of health and development, the presence of Roland and Ronald helps her recover. They are not just acting as older siblings, but more as protectors and supporters who do their best to keep Roline happy. Watching the three of them play together makes me smile, because there is a sense of hope despite the looming concern.
Many nights I spend watching my three children play, these little moments fill me with love. I promise to do my best to provide good nutrition for Roline and create a positive environment for all of them.
Over the past nine months, challenges and joys have come and gone. Day by day, I see how these three children can be each other's strengths despite their less than ideal circumstances. The mother who shares every smile and tear, I know that they will grow into individuals who understand and support each other.
Cherry, who is now a part of our lives, will receive all the same love. With all the gratitude that flows through me, I want to make sure that each of our children knows how much they mean to us, no matter how difficult the nights we go through.
When night comes, it's time for bed, I stand at their bedroom door with pride as I watch them all sleep peacefully. And with hope in my heart, I promise to always fight for their happiness and health. This is our home, and a love that will never stop growing.
“Mom, I’m hungry,” Roland said, his voice cheerful but demanding attention. Seeing him grow with a fairly large vocabulary was a proud thing, as was Ronald who was always ready to follow him. They were both so active and full of energy, giving new spirit in my life.
Although Roline is not as active as them in speaking, I try to continue to stimulate her development so that she can grow and develop optimally. Every time there is a chance, I invite Roline to play and talk, giving her the attention she really needs to get to know the world around her.
And now, with my stomach telling me to prepare something immediately, I rushed to the kitchen, opened the cupboard and checked the food supplies. “Okay, we will prepare something for you guys!” I said, feeling happy to prepare food for the children.
Cherry, on the other hand, although still a baby, already looks similar to Dante. Seeing her face reminds me of her father, even though I struggle with my own feelings. There is a feeling of jealousy that is hard to ignore, considering that Dante has been with another woman. Even so, I am determined to push all of that aside. Jealousy won’t help me build a healthy life and love for my children.
As I prepare the meal, I am plagued by flashbacks of the past, but I try to focus on the present—on the children in front of me. They line up behind me, teasing and joking with each other. The reassurance of their cheerful faces helps to distract me from the uncertainty that surrounds me.
When the meal is ready, I set it on the small dining table, and immediately see their faces light up with enthusiasm. The raised hands and cheerful voices as they sit down and prepare to eat are some of the most beautiful moments of my day.
“Right away,” I say, watching them lovingly. “Today we are going to eat your favorite food!”
With each bite they take, my gratitude grows. Seeing them grow up happy and healthy is my top priority. As a mother, this responsibility is an honor, and I am determined to give them the best.
With all the mixed feelings, both happy and sad, I realized that life is not always easy. But when I see the smiles on my children’s faces, I feel that all the struggles and pains that have ever been there are worth fighting for their happiness. As they laugh and joke around the dining table, in my heart, there is a belief that we will go through all this together, building a better and more loving future.
As I was finishing the meal preparation and the sound of my children’s laughter filled the kitchen, suddenly Dante came to me with a big smile. “Aurora, I have a present for you,” he said suddenly.
His voice was full of joy, but I was a little surprised and confused. It wasn’t a special day—not our birthday or anniversary. When he took out a small shiny box from his pocket, my heart skipped a beat. When he opened the box, my eyes focused on the beautiful diamond necklace inside.
“Wow, Dante! This… is so expensive! I can’t accept this,” I said, shocked and not knowing how to react. “Why are you giving this to me?”
“It’s just a gift from the heart,” he replied, looking at me with warmth. “I wanted to give you something special. I’m so grateful to have a wife like you. You’ve done so much for our family, and I want you to know how much you mean to me.”
My heart quivered at his words. A sense of emotion welled up inside me. Amidst all the challenges we’ve faced, seeing my husband’s recognition and appreciation made me feel loved again. There was a deep sense of pride and understanding in our relationship.
