Chapter 46

Aurora's POV
My worries grew. “What happened to Molly?” I thought, feeling confused and angry. I immediately contacted Dante’s men and asked them to find Molly and Roline. I couldn’t just let them disappear without knowing where they were.
The whole thing was putting me in a very tight spot. Dante was still in critical condition in the hospital, I had just gotten home after a stressful week, and now Molly had taken Roline who knows where. Despair was weighing on me, but I knew I had to stay calm and act fast.
“I can’t wait any longer. I’m going to the police station to report this missing person,” I told my mother, a decision that felt heavy but necessary.
“Be patient, Aurora. We will find Roline and Molly,” my mother said, trying to calm and support me amidst my storm of emotions.
When I arrived at the police station, a feeling of anxiety was eating away at me. I asked to speak to the officer on duty. “I want to report a missing person. My daughter, Roline, is missing, and my sister, Molly, has been taking her around without my knowledge,” I said, hoping that the officers would help.
The officer who was listening explained the procedure to follow to report a missing person. He asked for clear details about Roline’s disappearance and a description of Molly. “How old is Roline? And can you give me a physical description of Molly?” he asked, jotting down all the information.
I answered quickly, feeling the tension building inside me. “Roline is one month old. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Molly, my sister, is twenty-five, about 165 cm tall, and has long hair that she usually ties up,” I explained as several officers began to gather information for each step that needed to be taken.
After all the information was gathered, the officer said, “We will immediately launch a search and monitor the surrounding area. If you have any news or further information, please contact us immediately.”
After giving my report, I walked out of the police station with my mind in turmoil. All these problems were piling up and I felt like I was trapped in a never-ending storm. Although my mother beside me tried to provide emotional support, I couldn’t ignore the uncertainty hanging over me.
“We have to stay positive, Aurora. Don’t let negative thoughts take over,” my mother said, trying to calm me down.
I looked at her, trying to take it one step at a time. “I know, Mom. I just hope everyone can go home soon and get back to normal,” I replied with hope that continued to burn despite the chaos.
Praying and intending to find Roline and Molly, I tried to prepare myself for whatever might happen next. With all the obstacles, I couldn’t imagine more problems in my life, but I would fight for my family.
In the chaos of my thoughts and emotions, I kept trying to breastfeed our two babies. Even though my heart was heavy and full of fear, they still needed the nutrition that only I could give. Caring for them was the only thing I could realize in the midst of this unexpected situation.
As I breastfed, my mother watched me closely and said, “You have to eat a lot, Aurora. Take care of your body so that it stays healthy.”
“Yes, Mom, I eat. But what about Roline? Can she drink breast milk? No, right, Mom? Why did Molly take my child away? She still needs breast milk so much,” I answered, my voice shaking with emotion.
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I imagined Roline, my little and fragile daughter, separated from me without protection. It was heartbreaking, thinking about how confused and uncomfortable she must have felt without me by her side.
My mother hugged me gently, trying to calm me down. “Aurora, we will find Roline. She’ll be fine. You have to keep believing that she’s safe. Right now, try to focus on your health. Our children need you,” she said, her voice soft but firm.
“How could that be? Why did she go with Molly? She should be here with me, not out there. I feel helpless,” I replied, my heart squeezing with deep anxiety.
“Roline is still a baby. She must miss you, but as long as she’s with someone she knows, we have to hope that they’ll be okay,” my mother tried to offer hope amidst the crushing anxiety.
I nodded, trying to embrace my mother’s words even though it was difficult. “I just hope Roline is safe and can get the milk she needs. She’s not ready to be away from me yet,” I said, my heart filled with deep love for my daughter.
Longing overwhelmed me as I looked at the babies in my arms. “When she comes back, I’ll make sure I don’t let her go again. I’ll be more careful,” I said, determined to protect my family.
While breastfeeding my babies, I prayed that God would watch over Roline wherever she was. I needed strength and peace to get through this ordeal. Together with my mother, we would continue to fight, and when the time came, all of this would be worth it with the return of my daughter.
With hope and love, we will get through this together, no matter how tough the challenges are. My family is everything, and I will fight to protect them—now and forever.
Days passed without news of Molly taking Roline, and the stress deepened. In my anxiety, I tried my best to breastfeed, but my milk supply dropped drastically. To ensure my two baby boys got the nutrition they needed, I was forced to give them formula.
After consulting with my pediatrician, I knew that this was the best decision for now. I hoped to increase my milk supply as soon as possible, but the psychological pressure I was facing was overwhelming. Seeing my little babies relying on my love and nutrition was heartbreaking.
