Chapter 75
Aurora's POV
After facing the challenges and receiving the news of my mom’s condition, I felt the weight of my life continuing to weigh me down. Problems seemed to always come, and sometimes I wondered how I wished I could live without worry or sadness. But as time went on, I began to realize one thing: in this life, challenges and problems are an inseparable part of our journey.
Once again, I searched for meaning in everything that happened. Maybe, in every problem, there is a lesson to be learned. "Life means being ready to face problems," I thought. And behind all that, I must continue to be patient and do the best for myself and for my family. Every challenge that comes should not weaken my spirit, but rather be a reminder to keep fighting.
When I came home and entered the room, the faces of my children greeted me with serenity. They were asleep in their beds, with peaceful and innocent faces. Seeing them sleep touched my heart. Tears lurked in the corners of my eyes, but not because of sadness. The touch of longing and love for these children reminded me of how much they meant to me in my life.
They were my strength, my light in the darkness. Every smile and laughter they shared lifted my spirit. They were the reason I kept fighting, the reason I faced difficult moments with my head held high. In their laughter and play, I found hope. In their embrace, I found sincere affection.
I walked closer and bent down to kiss their foreheads one by one, feeling the warmth of the love that flowed. “Mommy loves you, my dear,” I whispered softly, hoping they would feel my presence.
As I stared at those gentle faces, I realized how lucky I was to have them by my side. Even though life is full of challenges, there is priceless beauty in family. I am determined to continue to give my best to them—to be a role model, a supporter, and a friend who is always there for them.
With a sense of calm and renewed strength, I grabbed a napkin and wrote down my hopes for the future. Although hardships are inevitable, the love and support of family will always be the light that guides me through the darkness. And for that, I am ready to face any challenge for the sake of our family’s happiness.
When I heard the babysitter’s statement about the bruises on Roline’s hands, my heart was immediately filled with anxiety. “Mommy, I see bruises on Roline’s hands. But when I asked, she wouldn’t answer,” the babysitter said in a worried tone.
A feeling of discomfort immediately enveloped my mind. The bruises could be the result of bullying at school, and if Roline didn’t feel brave enough to speak up, I felt the need to investigate further. Without waiting long, I immediately checked Roline's hand gently. Seeing the wound again made me even more anxious. "Roline, honey, where did this come from?" I murmured in a soft voice, but she was sleeping and it was impossible to explain.
My obsession with protecting children often made me feel devastated when they faced problems. The next day, I was determined to go to school and find out what really happened. I didn't want my children to experience bullying or feel pressured in an environment that should be safe and supportive for them.
When I arrived at school, I went straight to the principal's office. By stating that there was a problem that needed attention, I asked to see the CCTV footage in the location where Roline usually played. The principal seemed serious listening to my explanation and agreed to help.
While waiting for the footage, my feelings were mixed—I felt angry and worried about what I might find. If it turned out that other children were bullying Roline, I would not stay silent. Bullying is a serious matter and needs to be responded to firmly.
After a while, the school gave me the CCTV footage to review. Seeing the footage, my heart pounded even more. I watched intently, hoping to find the answer behind the bruises.
And as the footage continued, a disturbing scene unfolded. On the screen, Roline was seen among her friends, but I also saw several kids approaching her and doing so with unpleasant expressions. My investigation showed that Roline seemed distressed by the situation that was not supposed to happen at school.
As the footage ended, I could feel the emotions boiling inside me. The injustice that Roline had experienced made me feel so angry. “This can’t be allowed to happen,” I thought to myself. After talking to the school about what to do next, we agreed to hold a meeting with the parents of the students involved.
Although I was worried about the impact this would have on Roline and her siblings, I knew that this was an important step to take to protect them. We had to speak up, educate the children about the importance of respect, and show that bullying is unacceptable anywhere.
With determination and courage, I left the school, ready to protect my children and give them the support they needed. On my way home, I reflected on everything that had happened, and promised myself that I would continue to be their voice, and strive to create a safer and more loving environment where they could grow and develop without fear.
During the meeting with the school, I felt emotions bubbling up inside me. One of the teachers said, “I thought this was just a kid thing, ma’am. There’s no need to make a big deal out of it.”
Hearing her words, my whole body shook. “Really? What if this happened to your child? Would you just keep quiet?” I replied firmly, trying to hold back my anger. Frustration was overwhelming, and it was hard for me to understand how they could belittle my child’s hurt and treat it as trivial.
