Chapter 95
Aurora's POV
I began to realize that I had to take care of myself, not just for me, but also for our family. When everyone around me needed support and attention, I couldn’t ignore my own needs.
“I promise I will try to do better, Dante. I want to be healthy for all of us,” I said firmly, realizing how important it is to stay healthy in order to overcome all the challenges.
Dante smiled, and there was a look of relief on his face. “Let’s get everything set up, and after you get out of here, we’ll figure out how to deal with this together. We have to be better for ourselves and for the kids.”
In this moment, I felt touched. Even though there were many problems outside, we would support each other and share each other’s burdens. That realization gave us the strength to face whatever came our way. As I looked at his face full of love and concern, a sense of calm came over me, and I knew that we would face it together as a family.
Dante went on to tell me about the latest news from the company. Although the situation out there may seem complicated, he tried to focus his energy on finding solutions and working positively. “I want you to know that I’m trying my best to deal with this, and I don’t want you to be burdened,” Dante said.
“That’s what makes me confident that no matter what happens, we can get through it,” I replied, holding his hand. “Together, we’ve been through so much, and we will continue to do so. I’m here to support you.”
My thoughts drifted back to our children. Even though they weren’t here, their love and happiness still reached me. “What about the kids? Do they miss their father?” I asked in a caring tone.
Dante smiled. “They must miss us, especially you. I plan to bring them here when you get back. We need to make sure they know we’re always there for them,” he replied.
I felt hope and excitement growing inside me again. We may be facing hardships, but our love and presence with each other were a powerful force. “We should make plans to surprise them with a little something, like taking them on a family vacation after all this is over,” I suggested excitedly.
“That’s a brilliant idea! We need some fun time together,” Dante replied, a sparkle of excitement in his eyes.
As the doctor came in to check on me, I felt something shift inside me. I knew that being healthy was just the beginning; the bigger focus is how we can come together and support each other — not just for ourselves, but also for the future of our precious children.
After the doctor finished and asked me to rest, I looked back at Dante. “Let’s take care of each other and keep encouraging each other. This way, I am sure we can overcome any obstacle,” I said firmly.
Dante nodded, and I became more confident that as we moved forward, the trust and love we had built would help us through any challenges that might arise. We were an inseparable team, and together, we would navigate this journey with hope and courage, for ourselves and for the children we loved.
As time passed, I realized that each test we faced brought us closer together. We built a stronger foundation than before, based on open communication and mutual understanding. We learned to share our burdens and also plan for the future with a whole new spirit.
When I was finally allowed to go home from the hospital, there was a cheerful atmosphere that greeted me. The children ran to me with warm hugs that were ready to accommodate all our longings. Happiness exploded in my chest seeing their smiles and joy.
“Mom! We were lying down waiting for you to come home!” Roline shouted, looking excited.
I felt touched. In this moment, I knew that love and togetherness were the most important things in our lives. We could face many things together, as long as we kept those values. As I entered the house with the children by my side, I felt like we were starting a new chapter.
Later, as we gathered in the living room, Dante said, “We should plan something fun for the family. Maybe this weekend we’ll go to the park, or we could have a picnic in the yard.”
The children cheered happily. “I want a picnic!” Ronald exclaimed, full of enthusiasm.
“Oh, and we can bring our favorite foods!” Roline added, her face beaming.
Every plan they made made me feel optimistic about the future. We would continue to support each other and build beautiful memories together. Togetherness, love, and mutual respect would be our main strengths to face all the challenges ahead.
With a new spirit and a desire to be together, we continued our lives as an inseparable team. Every step we take now is filled with hope—hope for a better future, full of love, laughter, and kindness. And I know that, despite every trial, we will always find a way to embrace happiness.
The days after I returned from the hospital felt more balanced. We started scheduling quality time as a family. Every weekend, we would do something fun, whether it was a picnic, a bike ride, or just hanging out in the backyard playing. The atmosphere at home became more cheerful and warm, full of laughter and togetherness.
Dante also tried to spend more time with his family. He started taking weekends off, avoiding overtime, and trying to be more present at home. Seeing him playing with the kids made me feel so happy. The bond between us grew stronger, and we learned to cherish every moment we spent together.
Even though there were still challenges at the company to face, we held on to the trust in our relationship. Every night before bed, we shared stories about what happened during the day, our hopes and dreams, and any worries that might arise. In this way, we can support each other and keep each other’s courage up.
