Sylvester couldn’t sleep that very night,he thought about what Rita said to him and the forcefully kiss he had with Mariam.
He came out for a little fresh air to calm him down that was when he heard her moaning,he got so angry and wanted to open the door that instant and teach Dave a lesson but his mother stopped him.
“Come with me.” She ordered and he took a deep breathe and moved with his mother to her room.
“What were you trying to do?” She yelled at him.
“Nothing mom.” He lied to his mom because there is no way he can reveal the truth to her when he knows how his mother hates Mariam.
“I never trained you to be weak to a woman not to talk about your step sister,what is wrong with you Sylvester? Having feelings for your enemy? Not just enemy,your blood? An abomination.” She scolded him.
“I didn’t chose to like her mom,I regret she is my step sister but still,I desire her so much.”
“What? Can you hear yourself Sylvester? Oh sweet lord,what is happening to my son,are you blind?”
“Mom,it’s late,I will be going to my room now,good night mom.”
“Don’t you dare walk out on your mother,what has gotten into you? I will act like I didn’t see what you planned to do but tell me,are you not going to get the crown?”
“I will definitely be crowned the Alpha of all Alphas,just a matter of time and with my lovely mother support.” He said hugging his mom and caressing her hair,she smiled,“Silly boy,don’t worry,I got it under control,for a long time,you have prepared for the crown,a woman will not take it from you.”
“Okay mom,can I go now?”
“Sure,take care of yourself son and sleep well.”
“You too mother.” He left for his room and jumped on his bed.
“Dave is lucky,I will think of what to do with him when the time comes.” About to sleep,his phone rang and checking the caller ID,it was unknown.
“Who could be calling at this ungodly hour?” He questioned before answering the phone.
“Hello,who are you and why are you calling me with an unknown number?”
“Don’t worry sweetie,when you are ready,I will call you directly.” He recognized the voice as Rita.
“Rita?”
“Yeah,it’s me,quick one, tomorrow you will get a terrible news.”
“What do you mean?”
“A prove that I am equal to the task to get your crown back, sleep well.” She ended the call.
“Hey,what do you mean? Can you please stop speaking in parables?”
“Damn it,she ended the call,is she planning to harm Mariam? No,I won’t allow that,I want her alive to be on her knees and beg me to save her then I can make her my wife.” He laughed about it.
The following morning he heard the news about the death of an Alpha and his mother came to him saying,“Son,the moon goddess is on our side.”
“What do you mean mom?”
“An alpha dies when Mariam became queen,a bad omen, meaning she is not destined to rule.”
“Don’t tell me you believe in superstitious stuff ?”
“If that will make you the king,then my beliefs is strong,just a matter of time,the rotten ones will be disposed of.” She left her son’s with these words and he got a call from Rita still using the unknown number.
“Rita,what is wrong with you? Why will you kill an Alpha?”
“Why can’t I kill him?”
“It’s wrong and innocent,you don’t need to kill the innocent to prove to me you will be loyal to get me the crown.” He whispered.
“Sylvester ,I have every right to kill him,get your black and black outfit ready,we are going to morn my father and also threaten the new queen.”
“What?” He yelled but she ended the phone call already.
“What the hell is wrong with her? Killing her own father? She is insane,I must say but all the same,I love her gut.” He gave a wicked smile.
Unknown to him Diesel saw him and had a bad feeling that he might bring harm to Mariam.
He returned to meet his brothers at the guest room they were to change and meet up with Mariam,“It seems Diesel wish to remain on Mariam bad side.” Jett said on purpose to offend him.
“Not really, I am happy I came out for a little space because you both are troublesome.” He added.
“Enough,since we are done changing let’s meet Mariam now,I just hope she won’t give us a new punishment for delaying her time.” Axel yelled and they nodded.
“I got a useful information,I think when I relate it with Mariam she will forgive us and accept us.” Diesel boasted.
“And what could that be?” Axel got curious to know.
“Well,I think Mariam step brother is plotting evil again Mariam.” He said with confidence but none of his brothers believed him.
“Are you okay Diesel? Do you wish to cause conflict with her family members? Is that the best solution you came up with?” Jett attacked him.
Mariam walked angrily and slapped the three of them,“How dare you three keep me waiting?” They wanted to retaliate but held back knowing she was their queen.
“We are deeply sorry.” Axel pleaded immediately.
“Mariam,there is something you should know.“ Diesel started but the other brothers gave him signs to keep the information to himself but Diesel will never listen.
“Did you just call me by my name?” Mariam eyes changed to red and if care is not taken,she will let her wolf out.
“I am sorry I mean Queen Mariam.” He stammered and she became calm again.
“Good,what is it? I hope it’s worth the extra minute I am using to stand here with you.”
“Yes,your stepbrother,I don’t trust him,I think he is trying to plot against you.”
Mariam busted into a serious laughter because she didn’t believe him.
“I told you to keep it to yourself,I will kill if you add to my problems.” Jett said using the mind link.
“You dare accuse my brother? I am going to deal with you when I return, guards,lock him up and whip him with silver.”
“Yes ma’am.”
“Axel and Jett come with me, be fast and don’t think of delaying my time again.”
“Yes my queen.” They rushed to meet up with her space.
“Gosh, this new version of Mariam is scaring.”Axel said mindlinking with Jett.
“You are right.”
