"NORA!!"
"Thank you very much, sir, for helping me, and my name is not Nora; I guess you might be mistaking me for someone else." I said it with a smile.
"I am so sorry; you looked exactly like someone I knew when she was 18; forgive me please."
I really don’t know who Nora is, but whoever she is, I am very sure she must be very important to him. Judging from the way he looked at me, his eyes were filled with love and happiness.
"You don’t have to apologise; I guess I got so many that look alike." I replied to him, and he helped me up, saying, "Hope you weren’t hurt?"
"Not at all, thank you for coming at the right time to rescue me; I owe you my life." I said about going on my knees, but he stopped me, "You don’t have to do that; you are my responsibility."
I felt so emotional when he said these words to me; I felt like crying because no one has ever said this to me. Even if the triplets helped me so many times, they always get something in return, but this man is so different, and I didn’t know when I started crying.
"Did I do something wrong? Talk to me; I am truly sorry." He said caressing my hair, and I felt like I was getting pampered by my father. How I wish I could get the opportunity just to meet my mother as well; I know she will tell me the same words.
"Not at all. Just that no one has ever told me I was their responsibility and I know you are a good person." I added.
He smiled, saying, "I am sorry, little one. I guess everyone has their rough past, but I am happy I came here at the right time. I will carry you now so you wait in my car, and I still have a little hunting to do with my beta." He spoke calmly, and I nodded my head.
He carried me in his arms, and I felt so safe, and the warmth too. I never want to leave his arms for a second; I wish to remain here forever. I guess this is what I am missing. He brought my bag as well.
"Remain here; I will be back." He said, and I smiled with a nod.
When I say he is fast, I wish I could use another statement, or should I say he is faster than Flash himself?
I remained in the car, waiting for them to return. I have a feeling maybe they are tracking those werewolves
“Mariam, don’t tell me you are developing feelings for him. He is older than you." My wolf form said to me.
“Yes, I know, but I don’t think these are attraction feelings; I just can’t explain the love and joy I am feeling inside." I said to her.
"You better be of good behaviour, and I am glad he saved us." I heard the screams of some werewolves and others begging him not to harm them, and immediately another car came in—hefty guys that are wolves—who on earth are they?
The man who saved me was in sight, and the man with him and the other hefty men bowed to greet him. "You came right in time; take over from here; I need to take the victim to the clinic," he said, and they all obeyed him.
Suddenly, I felt so strange; I was losing my sight, sense of smell, and hearing; I could not hear Clara's voice; I coughed out blood; and he rushed to me, "Are you okay? Elvis, start the car." He yelled.
Everything faded off and my eyes got closed. Even if I am to die today, I will be happy to die in the arms of this stranger who showed me care in just a few minutes.

Writer’s POV
Alpha Aiden was shocked to see a look-alike of his late lover, and he felt so happy as well that he excused himself to hunt other bad rogues in the woods. His beta sent a hint to the gamma, and since they were nearby, they came immediately, and he passed the orders to them. Talking about saving her, Mariam's health got worse as she coughed out bad blood, and Elvis started the car in a hurry and drove with speed to the pack clinic.
"Please, hang in there; I can’t lose you again. Even if you are not her, I will never let harm come to you, and I will protect you with my life." The beta was shocked at his statement; the only person to whom Aiden had given such a dangerous vow was his late lover, and till date, he has never done so, except now.
They arrived at the clinic, and he carried her while calling the major doctor and nurses to start her treatment. She was taken to the ward, and he was asked to remain outside while they carried out their duty. He said a word to them before going out: "Make sure she survives at all costs."
Yes, Alpha Aiden." He stepped out, and Beta came to him, saying, “Now that she is with the doctors, should we be heading home?"
“No," he replied, and the beta was shocked at the sudden change; he knows once a victim is brought to the clinic, they leave immediately, but why is this unknown lady's case different? What’s so special about her?
"I will wait till she is awake and make sure she is alright."
"Okay, I will wait with you then." He spoke, and the Alpha smiled.
"Elvis, I have a question to ask of you, and I hope you tell me the honest truth."’
"I am your loyal friend and also your best friend; I will never tell you a lie as the truth."
"Good. Do you believe in rebirth?" He asked, and Elvis was out of options: how can the Alpha be thinking and believing in such fairy tales?
"I don’t think there is anything called rebirth; it’s just a tale." He answered him.
"That’s what I keep telling myself, but seeing the little girl, my thinking is altered. What if she is Nora and she is living her second life?"
"You are not being serious, Aiden." Elvis said dropping the alpha title and talking as just friends. "I can reap your heart out for laughing."
"They just look alike. Okay, your lover is gone for good."
"Okay."
The doctor came out to give the news. "Tell me, is she okay?"
"I am sorry, Alpha Aiden, but her condition is critical; her blood is mixed with silver and contains traces of wolf bane."
"Who on earth will do that to her?" He roared, and everyone submitted to his command; that’s one of the qualities of the Almighty Alpha.
