Writer's POV
“What did you say to our daughter?” Alpha Aiden quarrelled with Luna.
“I didn't say anything to her; I guess she sees from my perspective and not yours.” She yelled back.
"Listen, Rebecca, no matter the stuff you come up with, she is not leaving this house; she is my responsibility, and you better start accepting that.”
“You know what? Go to hell. I am sleeping in my room tonight. I can't stand you for a second. One more thing. Nora is dead. Stop trying to bring up Nora because she looks like her.”
“Rebecca,I know Nora is dead, and I see Mariam for who she is. All the good I am doing for her is not because she looks like her; it is because I am an Alpha that cares for people like her. I always told you, "Never lead with emotions. You may leave my room now.”
“I was leaving anyway,” she said, taking her leave and seeing her daughter come out with tears.
“My precious child, why are you crying?" What happened”
“Mom, Mariam happened. I hate her mom. I want her out for good.”
“Tell me, what did she do to you?”
“She told me she would never leave our home. She told me she was meant to stay, and I am a spoilt brat. No matter what I do,I can never get rid of her, except for my father. Mom, she told me to my face that my father brought her here and only he can take her out.”
“That unfortunate girl.”
“She is right.” They heard Alpha Aiden's voice and turned around. It seems he has been listening for quite some time.
“What do you mean she is right? Why will you support a stranger when you ought to support our daughter?” Luna yelled.
“I don't support people; I support the truth." "Number one, Mariam is senior to Jane, and number two, why did you go to her room?”
“Nothing father.”
“You owe Mariam an apology, and you will be punished as well." "Your allowance for this month will be held back till you learn your lesson.”
“Aiden.” His wife yelled his name.
“I am still talking.” He roared, and they all kept silent.
“Let me make things clear to you all. Mariam is here to stay for good. It will be best for you two to start accepting her as a part of this family. Come with me. Like I said, you owe her an apology.”
Jane dares not argue with her father; she moves with him, and he faces his wife: "Don't push me too far, Rebecca; otherwise, I will punish you by stripping you of your title. Maybe by then you will learn the meaning of being a Luna.”
Rebecca's eyes widened. She never expected it would get this far after doing everything to become Luna. "I will not let that happen. I will not lose to a child, Agatha!" She called her maid, who rushed to her immediately as they plotted a new evil scheme to get rid of her.
Alpha Aiden and his daughter knocked on Mariam's door, and she opened up immediately when she smelled the Alpha.
“Alpha Aiden, is everything okay?”
"Yes, my daughter has something to tell you, Jane." Go on.” Jane hated her father for this, but the hatred she now has for Mariam is too deep, like a demon with a deep grudge.
“I am sorry.” She said it in a low voice.
“No,say it like you mean it.” Alpha Aiden said to her, and she bit her lips and looked down. "I am sorry. I didn't mean what I said to you. Forgive me.”
“It's okay.” Mariam replied, and Jane faced her dad, saying, "Can I go now?”
"Yes, you can, and none of this should repeat itself again.”
"Okay, dad, and good night.” Jane left angrily and headed to her room. "I can't believe I said sorry to that brat. I will make her pay. There must be a way out.” She said and wished she could meet her wolf early to be more powerful.
Alpha Aiden wished Mariam goodnight before heading to his room, but while seated, he thought about what Elvis told him.
“I have a feeling she is your daughter; this can't be a coincidence." Elvis added it in a whisper.
“Elvis,are you trying to play mind games with me? Nora gave birth to a son who died. I saw the dead body of my son. She can't be my daughter.”
“Then why is everything just similar? She can control her hearing; do you know that? She can focus her hearing just like you; not even your son can do it.”
“Then I need more time." "I will spend time with her in training to find out, but she has no alpha blood or red eyes.”
“That's what I am saying—spend more time with her because I notice something about her wolf eyes—it doesn't fit, something is off.”
“Okay,this should be a secret, but I know one thing for sure: there is something unique about the first fruit in my family. I will find out.” He added.
Thinking about everything, he let out a smile and really hoped she ended up being his daughter.
*Flashback*
“Aiden,what if we have a daughter?” Nora asked, and Aiden kissed her before giving a response: "I don't mind if we have a daughter or a son, provided my child is coming from you.”
“You are so sweet with words, but anyway, I would love to have a daughter.”
“Then I will be happy because she is going to take after you, look exactly like you, and also be strong like you." "What do you think?”
“Well,I will say,she can look like me, but she will take after you. You are more powerful than me. I am just a lone wolf, you know. I don't want her to be a lone wolf.”
“She won't be a lone wolf, okay?" "She is going to be perfect, and we will both love her and train her together.”
“I know you will be a good father to our child.”
“Don't worry,she will be the first Queen to lead the entire pack.”
End of Flashback
Tears left Aiden's eyes, and he wished Nora had never met her own death.
