A few moments later,the duel was all over and it was time to announce the winner when Mariam passed out immediately.

Alpha Aiden rushed to her daughter immediately same with the triplet and Dave.

“Mariam can you hear me? Talk to me?”

Queen Rebecca looked so happy about what had happened and gave a thumb up to her crew.

“Father,someone shot me,it stings.” She cried out and luckily Jett saw the needle and removed it immediately,“Who dares to take my daughter life?” He roared so loud and fear gripped everyone as they went on their knees.

Queen Rebecca got frightened and regretted ever going on with the plan,what if they get one of them? Definitely she will be exposed as well.

Mariam was rushed to the clinic close by and the doctors along with the nurse did everything possible to remove the posion before it gets to her heart.

A few hours later,the doctor came out saying,“She is fine now Alpha,you can come in to see your daughter.” He happily went inside to check on her and she looks in a good shape.

"Thank you Mariam for fighting it.” He said caressing his daughter hair.

“Father,are the results out? Did I prove myself worthy of my crown?”

“You should be thinking more about your health and not the other way around my daughter,I don't care if you prove them right or wrong,all I care for is the safety of my daughter.” He said to her and she managed to sit up.
“Thank you father,I know you care so much about me,I am going to do my best to make sure I don't fail you at all.” She said with a smile.

The beta came in with goodnews saying,“The queen remains the queen,it can't be taken away from her congratulations.” Beta Elvis said to her.

“Thank you so much.” Mariam said In a faint voice feeling so dizzy at the moment.

“Mariam,get some rest okay? Don't stress yourself too much.” Aiden said to her an dshe nodded.

They stepped outside the hospital and the triplet came to him,“Did you find anyone suspicious?” He questioned.

“No Alpha,” Alpha Diesel replied.

“I need you three to watch my daughter tonight,I won't let the killer go unpunished, Elvis come with me now.”

“Yes Alpha.” He replied leaving the triplet to look after Mariam,while Dave went out to search for the killer by montioring everyone who left the place with his loyal boys but he made a mistake in sending some of the boys to tail the Queen and her crew.

Queen Rebecca sneaked to see her crew telling them to remain hidden for now and no more meeting till the matter has died off,while Sylvester was angry at himself for losing to a woman just like that,he gave Rita the go ahead to continue with the original plans.

“Agatha,do you think my husband will suspect me in harming Mariam?” She questioned her maid.

“Not at all my queen,I am certain no one saw Mary when she made use of the needle .“ Agatha assured her.

“Good,where is my son? Tell him to come and see me at once.”

“Yes my queen.” She left immediately.

“there must be way out,he needs to be the king,why do my plan always go to a waste whenever I try to harm Mariam?” She questioned herself again and again, everything she has done to eliminate her always turn out to favour her.

“What must I do that must not turn out to favour her? I need to get rid of her quickly,she is gaining more powers.”

"My queen.” Agatha called immediately she returned.

"Yes,what is it? Talk to me.”

"Alpha Sylvester is not in his room and not in the hosue as well,I heard from the security he drove out of the compound.”

"You mean my husband?” The maid nodded and fear gripped her.

“Do you know the reason he wants to see me?” He questioned her and the maid nodded,"No, my queen but I will advise you to appear calm when you get to his chamber,I think he might want to question you.”

"Okay,I can do this,just watch out for me.” She added and left to meet her husband the king.

“You requested my presence,how is Mariam? Is everything okay with her?” She asked on purpose to show she has sympathy for her.

“She is fine now.”

“Thank goodness.”

“Did you suspect anyone at the gathering today?” He questioned her and she nodded.

"Haven't you found the person that tried to kill her?” She asked like she is a bit concerned about it.

"We found no one,I just hope I am not living under the same roof with the person who tried to kill my daughter,the day I will find out the truth that will be the day I will shred the person to pieces.” He threatened and Rebecca got frightened,but controlled her self

"Yes,the person deserves to be punished at all cost ” She added and prayed silently in her heart.

*The Funeral Of Alpha Collins.*

Sylvester and Mariam became enemies in the house, the only way to aviod Mariam completely is to leave the house very early and come home very late.

Mariam had no other choice but to bear everything and move on with her life.

She went shopping with Dave to get the perfect black gown for the burial,there she met Rita.

“Greetings my queen.” Rita said with respect,“Rita,been a while I have seen you,where have you been?” Mariam asked in happiness as she hugged her.

“I got a little busy at work that's why,I heard what about to you at the duel,I hope you feel better now?”

“Yes I do and thanks for asking,I really appreciate.”

“It's nothing really,my prayers are for the people behind the act to get caught and be punished,like who will want to hurt a generous queen like you.”

“Can you please stop flattering me? ” She blushed.

“I appreciate you,I guess you are here to get some clothes,are you done with shopping?”

"Not really,I came to see a friend here.” Rita replied.

“I see,that's good to know ,how is the preparation for the funeral of your late father?”

"Well it's going well,I am trying to get along with the rest family as we speak,it's not easy at all.” She lied to her and Mariam fell victim by believing every word she says.

Dave allowed them to talk while he focused on his phone, immediately she finished talking to Rita and waved at her,she went back to her shopping with Dave.
“I never knew you two will become this close.”

“Same here,I do pity her,she never knew her father and now she is finding out every details about him,he is dead.”

"That's so sad but anyway becareful as well.”


“I am always careful,you don't have to worry too much about me okay? Worry more about yourself okay?”

“I will worry about you because you are my woman.” he held her waist bringing her close to him and they ended up kissing and people admired them.

"I am so shy,why will you do that when people are watching?”

"That's because I love you and I am not ashamed of you as well.” Dave said.

On the day of the funeral, everyone wore black on black,so put on black gowns and glasses,they all stood close to the grave to pay their last respect,when it was time for Rita to say her words,Mariam almost cried feeling so emotional for her.

“She is such a great actor.” Sylvester said in his thoughts.

The Funeral was peaceful and not time consuming as well,Alpha Aiden promised the family that they are going to make sure to find the killer at all cost,no matter where they are hiding.

Alpha Jett whispered to Mariam's ear,“My queen,we found the killer.”

“What? Where?”

“He is dead,he committed sucide and left a note because he felt guilty.” Jett replied.

“We need to inform my father immediately,too bad we didn't get to catch him when he was alive,I hope he rots in hell for life.” She cursed the killer.

Immediately everything was over at the funeral,Mariam Informed her father about the news and they left to check for themselves leaving Rita behind who gave a deadly smile.

Sylvester came from her back saying,“Nice one.”

“You shouldn't be doing this,you ought to be with them.” Rita added.

“I know but I don't wish to be there,how did you get someone to take the fall? Did you pay his family?”

"I told you I can't tell you the details,now we are able to buy ourselves sometime to do whatever we wish to do,let's be careful not to miss another opportunity.” Rita warned and he hugged her tight.

“Can you stop hugging me? What if someone sees us? Especially the triplet?” She tried to get away from him.

"What is bad in hugging someone who lost her father that is dear to her? I am simply calming her down.” He said caressing her back.

“Okay fine,it's enough now,thank you Alpha Sylvester for your kind words.” She said it out loud.

“You are welcome Rita,I will leave now to meet my family and make sure no harms comes to your family again.” They smiled briefly saying all these.

“Can we watch the movie tomorrow?” He inquired from her and she looked at him for about five seconds before saying,“I will think about it.”

“You are not going to do that to me,come on,I got two tickets already,I promise you the Mafia movie is the best,you will love it.”

“Okay fine,go home and send me feedback on what is happening.” He nodded and took his leave.

Getting to the house,it turned out it was one of the driver that tried to harm Mariam and also the one who killed Alpha Collins.

“Now the killer is dead, announce to the pack members we are safe .” Mariam felt happy about it and concluded it's time to move to Dranovile to complete her wish.
