Writer POV
"I told you to behave yourself during dinner, but you didn’t. I want to make something clear: I can never have an affair with a kid." Alpha Aiden said to Rebecca immediately after he got back from the walk with Mariam.
"I have heard you; all I know is this: I hate the girl, and I do not want her in our home."
"Why do you hate her? Tell me? You just met her and you hate her already. Have you forgotten you are the Luna and she is like a child to you?"
"You know what, Aiden, good night; I prefer to be alone tonight." She said and walked out of the room, and Aiden felt so angry; he never expected such silly behaviour from her with Mariam.
"She will be fond of the girl, so that I know off." He added before taking off his shirt to have his shower and climbing into bed to sleep.
The Queen could not sleep throughout the night; she needed answers, and she was worried, wondering what if the plan failed or what if it worked out completely years ago without anyone ruining it?
She waited, and then Agatha, her loyal maid, came to her room as planned, saying, "My Queen, I did as you said; they will be at the secret place by 3 a.m."
"I hope you passed the news to everyone. I mean everyone." She asked to be sure, and Agatha assured her.
"Good, what of the girl?"
"She is asleep now; I heard from the maids that the Alpha had a walk with her outside the walls of the building."
"Really, she's got the guts to walk with him? Interesting, she is really getting on my nerves, you know. I will pay a visit to her room, and you know what to do."
Yes, "Yes, my queen." They both had an evil smirk on their faces.
Luna Rebecca entered Mariam's room and asked why she was fast asleep, and she looked at her with anger boiling in her blood: "She even sleeps with comfort in my home; I guess she thinks she has the Alpha by her side so she doesn’t have time to worry; you thought wrong." She brought out her claws and sat close to Mariam on the bed as she caressed her hair with them, laughing. "She doesn’t have her hair colour, but the face reminds me of her; what if I just kill her now without waiting for the meeting?"
She thought of killing Mariam, and immediately Mariam woke up. She kept her claws and had a little conversation with her.
She left, letting Mariam know that she would only accept her if she chose to die, which Mariam never expected she would ask for.
She returned to her room, and Agatha informed her, saying, "It’s time my queen and I have taken care of some werewolves that will give us troubles; I drugged them."
"Good, let’s go." Rebecca covered herself up with a vile as they headed to the woods for the meeting.
"Queen Rebecca, we agreed to all bury the past; why will you request for all of us to meet again?" Peter said to her, he is one of the accomplices who participated in her scheme years ago.
“Yes, Peter is right; we all got something useful and vowed never to visit the past, but with this sudden meeting, I hope we are not doing something related to that again because I have vowed never to as I live in guilt." Elizabeth, the second accomplice, added
Queen Rebecca let out a smile, saying, "Same here; I am happy to meet you all, and it seems you all have forgotten who is standing here with you. Show some respect."
They all bowed to greet her, and then she began the conversation to let them know the reason she sent for them.
"Yes, I gave the order that we bury the past and move on, but we got a problem, though before I state the problem, I want you all to tell me, after the incident, did you all take care of everything, was there a mistake?"
"As for me, I took care of the guards and replaced them like you said with our loyal ones without anyone knowing, and they did a perfect job, so I will say no, there was not a mistake from my end." Henry, one of the three accomplices, stated
"Good, what about you, Peter? Did you notice an error?" They all assured her again and again that there was no error and that the plan was as smooth as possible. They questioned her to know why she was asking about it all of a sudden when it’s all in the past now, and she dropped the bomb: "Because there is a girl living with us who has Nora’s face."
"What? That can’t be; Nora is dead; we confirmed it except you failed in your part. Did you kill her or did you fail in your part?"
*FLASHBACK*
"What are you doing here? You are not allowed to be here, Rebecca; you need to be resting since you just gave birth, and do you wish to lose strength?" Nora said it out of pity for Rebecca.
"To hell with your care, Nora, I do not need it. I heard you gave birth to a male child and he is dead. Guess what? I gave birth to a son and he is alive and healthy. Not only that, he will become the next Alpha of all Alphas."
"Is that it? Aiden will never make him the Alpha; do you want to know why? Your son doesn’t have the Alpha blood running through his veins." Nora smiled, and Rebecca ended up slapping Nora, saying, "How dare you? I will do everything to make sure he rules."
"Let’s see about that; yes, my child is dead, but I will get pregnant again."
Rebecca laughed so loud and gazed at her with hatred, saying, "Wow, I love your courage, Nora. You think you are going to live to see a new day? Our husband will be returning next week; I wonder the look he will have on his face to see his lover's dead body and his son's dead body as well."
"What are you trying to do? You will not get away with it. Anyone there, take this mad woman out of here." Nora yelled, but she got no response.
"Too bad, Nora, no one is going to come to your aid now. I decide if you are going to live or not." She brought out her claws and pressed Nora’s neck deeply with them. Nora smiled, and this made her angry. "Why are you smiling?"
"I am smiling because you didn’t win; I outsmarted your game; yes, I am the one dying now, but a sacrifice I must pay; you remember what I told you before; you can kill me, but this face will always hunt you down, and Aiden will reap out your heart.This face will be your doom."
"Let’s see if he will do that to me once he returns. The Queen killed herself after hearing the news that her new-born baby boy is dead. What do you think about that?"
"You will pay for this evil; don’t bite the finger that feeds you."
"You are dying; you should be begging for my mercy instead you keep smiling, I hate it when you smile." She pressed her claws deeper, and Nora died immediately, and Rebecca started laughing.
