Writer's POV

“Hello, are you there?” Elvis kept inquiring and when he checked his phone,he discovered she ended the call.

"What if this is a trap set up by her? Or could she be the old maid we are looking for?” He questioned himself and looked restless.

He almost dialled the alpha number directly but he stopped saying,“Stuff like this is not what I can be discussing over the phone,if the killer is living with Alpha Aiden,I have to be extra careful.” He wore his shoe,took his suit jacket and left the house,his wife saw him saying,“Leaving so soon? You just got home.”

“Honey,I am sorry, something urgent came up that's why,I will make it up to you okay?” He hugged her and she frowned at her face,“Can't it wait?”

“I wish it could wait but it's related to the Alpha,you know my duty as the beta,I will be home soon.”

“Okay dear but please be careful,I believe you are aware of the things happening now.” She placed her hands on his sleeves arranging the sleeve he wore properly and kissed him.

“I love you.” She said.

"I love you too honey,see you soon.” He left at once.

He drove with speed heading to meet the Alpha, luckily both houses are not that far from each other.

Immediately he entered,he saw Rebecca and she became suspicious of him,“I thought you left some moments ago?”

“Yes I did,I came with some news for the alpha regarding your son.” He lied because he doesn't know who the bad person is,the only person he should be trusting now is the Alpha.

“Well since that's the reason you are here,I know he is your best friend,talk to him,let him give his son a chance and I know for sure Mariam will understand.” She left after she finished talking.

He asked about the whereabouts of the alpha and he got told he was at the office,the alpha goes to that particular office whenever the challenges get worse,he hopes this lightens up his mood.

He was about to knock at the door when Alpha Aiden spoke from inside,“I know it's you Elvis,come in,I smelt you already.”

“I should have made use of the scent leaf.” He teased and they both laughed.

“What brought you back? Thought I asked you to go home.” He questioned.

“You won't believe what I am about to tell you, Alpha Aiden,that's the reason I came back.” He whispered.

“What is it? Did you come up with a perfect solution or?”

“Your late wife old maid that is like a mother to her called me not quite long.” he whispered again and Alpha Aiden's mood changed at once,he became so curious to know more.

“Don't tell me this is a prank,I am going to reap your heart for real.” He said to be sure and Elvis assured him.

“Wow ,this is good news,I guess knowing the circumstances of the late Queen death will be the solution to divert the people's attention,this is just perfect ”he said with happiness.

“But my king,I want us to keep it a secret,she mentioned earlier to me that you have been keeping the devil in your home,so we can't tell anyone instead we take them unaware.” Elvis suggested and Aiden bought the idea.

“Yes,you are right,we don't know who the devil is,it's a top secret,when will she come and meet me?”

“I think we have to create a night for that so I can sneak her in without anyone knowing.”

“Okay,call her then and let's make the perfect arrangements,I think that will be better, finally my love Nora will get the justice she deserves.”

Beta Elvis made the call and the number was turned off,he didn't know why but he promised the alpha he would keep trying the number and set the date as planned. They kept it within themselves and he took his leave immediately and he was happy he didn't meet Rebecca on his way out of the place.

Beta Elvis was able to contact Mariam's grandmother and they agreed where to meet. He was happy when he saw her and hugged her so tight,“I can't believe this day will come,you are still alive.”

“Yes,I am, full of energy as usual though getting some grey hairs.” She made a joke out of it.

“Gosh,we miss everything prepared by you but no time to waste,Alpha Aiden is waiting for you already,I will take you through the back so no one will see you.”

“Okay no problem,it's better that way.” She added.

Elvis received a text from Aiden saying,“The back entrance is all clear,you can bring her in.”

“Okay.” He kept his phone and handed a hoodie over to Mariam grandma to cover up her face and they left together in his car.

He parked a little bit far from Aiden's home and came through the back Aiden seeing her was so excited and he hugged her saying,“I am so happy seeing you mom.”

Aiden loves to call her mom because Nora takes her like a mother,“You still haven't changed my king,you still call me mom and your daughter calls me grandma.”

“I guess it's in the blood.” They laughed.

“I came here because I want to die peacefully. I will tell you everything that transpired before queen Nora's death.” She said. Aiden ordered Elvis to give them some privacy and he obeyed.

“We are alone,so feel free to talk,did my love commit sucide because she thought she lost our baby?”

“That's a big lie,Nora Never committed sucide,she was killed,I remember her telling me, Rebecca is evil and has been pretending.”

Beautiful Nora was seen in her room combing her hair when Lady Becky came in,Lady Becky is Mariam grandma.

“Mom, you are here,take this,I love it when you comb my hair.”

“As long as it makes you happy,I will keep on doing it.”

“Thank you for being there for me,you are like a mother to me despite you being my personal maid,I will always treat you like a family.”

“It's a privilege to be treated as one,I am happy. I heard you had an argument with the second queen,I don't get it,you brought her in and made her the king's second wife,why will she disrespect you?”

“Always expect the worst from humans.” She let out a beautiful smile.
“I wonder how you still smile in a serious situation like this, let's report her to Alpha Aiden when he returns,I believe she will respect herself once she gets scolded.”

“I don't want that,you know the love Aiden has for me,he can end up killing her,I don't want that, you know people hide themselves just to be loved by people and when they get it,you will end up seeing their true color.”

“You are right my queen,she is evil,let's teach her a lesson.”

“Leave her be, mom,why not focus on my hair and we talk about setting up a party so other Luna can come.” They continued their conversation.

Lady Becky looked at Alpha Aiden who was in tears listening to her story,“She still let out a smile even if she was deeply hurt,she could not shift in to a wolf to make the people happy,it kills her slowly,most times she is alone in the bathroom,she weeps bitterly but with the shower on so you won't hear her,she didn't wish to trouble you.”

“She should have told me.” Tears left his eyes.


“Queen Nora and Rebecca got pregnant and getting close to the delivery stage,she called me to a secret place.”

Queen Nora took Becky to a secret place where no one can listen to their conversation and made her make a promise to her,“My life is in danger Becky, Rebecca is going to try and kill my baby.”

“What? We can't let that happen.”

“I know but this is my plan just In case Aiden is not around,I want you to get a dead baby and replace it as my child,that way my child will be protected.”

“I promise you, but this is not fair.”

“I know,I can't let any mistake ruin Alpha Aiden ruling as the Almighty Alpha,not many are happy with him,this is me also helping,just promise me you will look after my baby like your own grandchild,my child will be your family.I really don't trust any other but you and the personal nurse that will deliver me.”

“I promise you,I will love your child more than the way I love you.”

“Thank you so much,I know trusting you is the best option for me.“ Queen Nora hugged her after she finished talking.

Alpha Aiden eyes were all red as he continued to listen to her,“She delivered very early and I took Mariam away, replacing the child with a dead boy and a fake time was given to Rebecca by the nurse we trusted as well.” She busted into serious tears.

“I already got the baby to safety and I came back to see if everything is fine then and to know if you are back but opening the door,I saw Rebecca using her bare hands to strangle Nora to her death,I had to run so she won't see me.” she fell to the ground.

“I had to run for the sake of the child and promise to return one day to let you know the truth I was happy when I learnt that Mariam is now with you.”

“REBECCA,HOW DARE YOU TAKE AWAY THE WOMAN I LOVE SO MUCH FROM ME,I WILL ALSO TAKE YOUR LIFE!!!” He screamed so loud out of anger and cried like a baby, the old lady tried to calm him down saying,“Now you know the truth,Nora can rest in peace now,she knows you will grant her justice.”
While they were still talking,the door opened revealing Rebecca.

She saw the maid and knew the truth about what she did in the past is known to the alpha now.

Aiden didn't think twice but went after her with speed and grabbed her by the neck,“You are a monster.” He screamed but all of a sudden he got weak and let go of her,he fell to the ground and vomited black blood.

Rebecca laughed and laughed as the evil queen she is,“I knew this will happen when you learn the truth,come on honey,is this what you got? I am one step ahead of you,you cannot lay a finger on me.” Aiden tried to access his wolf form and ended up throwing up more blood,he was like a living corpse.

“Rebecca,what did you do to me?”

“You are an evil witch,how dare you hurt the king?” Mariam's grandma tried to hit her but Agatha stopped her,just a hit she became unconscious on the ground.

“This is so funny ,I must say.”

“What have you done to me Rebecca,I swear,I am going to kill you.”

“oh really,should I be frightened by you,oh come on Aiden,you are much better than this.”

“Just tell me what you did to me,why am I this weak?”
