I really can't tell what happened next, but I found myself still in the woods not as a wolf but as a human now, surprisingly I was naked.
Was I dreaming a few hours ago? “No, you were not, everything happening is based on reality and that you should know.” The wolf form named Clara said to me.
“I guess you have confirmed it already, I am a werewolf with no origin,I wish my grandma was here to explain things to me, I will be glad you know.”
“There is always a reason for everyone, you have a destiny ahead, my human, you just have to wait for it.”
“You don't know what you are saying, how can a nobody like me have a great destiny ahead when I am just a slave to the Golden brothers?”
“You have met your wolf, you are no longer a slave, you can always fight back and set yourself free as well.” She added, and I thought about it, I should be jumping now but of what use it is when they are all Alphas, they must be mighty.
“I don't think I can, even in this wolf state of mine.”
“Why don't you believe you can? Have you lost all hope already? You are not just a normal wolf, you are an Alpha.”
“Even an Alpha was unable to get rid of them and who knows if in ranking, I am the least, or I might become an outcast?”
“Don't even think about it, you can't be a rogue because you haven't done any crime yet, instead of thinking negative, think positive for once.” Clara yelled at me and I kept calm, maybe they might be a way to get free from the brothers for good and have my revenge in the end.
“What do you think I can do?”
“Now you are talking Mariam, all you need to do is to find our mate, I tell you this, once our mates shows up and accept us, we are forever free.” She added, and I allowed a smile to leave my lips.
“The answer is a mate, you are right Clara, I have a strong feeling our mate will be here in Dranovile and I hope we cross path quickly to allow myself to enjoy freedom and he better be more powerful than them.” I added.
“Powerful or not powerful, we need our mate, and we accept them the way they are.” she said to me.
“I know we don't have to look down on anyone and accept them the way they are but in my case, I really need to be selective. You know, with what I have been through, only a tough and powerful mate can help me get what I desire the most.”
“Which is?”
“Revenge, I will be getting revenge on those who hurt me and made my life a living hell, I will not let any of them go scot-free.” I gave an evil smirk.
“Your hatred is more powerful than any I have seen, but one thing you should, never let your hatred consume you or take over you, okay?” She advises.
“Thank you, but I know I will be more powerful if I allow my hate to consume me at the end of the day you know.”
“I have no choice but to join you, you have suffered so much already.”
I looked around and discovered my clothes had been shredded all over the place, and now I am clothless. How am I supposed to go home looking naked?
“I can see a house close by, you can ask for a cloth, I am sure she will give you.”
“Are you sure, Clara? I don't want anyone sending me out.”
“Trust me, with what I see, are hearts of kindness.”
“Okay.” I was walking slowly as usual, but Clara made me understand, I am not just a human anymore but a werewolf, I can actually get there in seconds once I make use of the wolf speed and I tried it, it worked, I am feeling like a wonder woman right now and this is spectacular I must say.
I knocked at the door and a lady in her forties opened up and looked at me immediately. She saw me naked. She had to cover her eyes saying,“Young lady, why will you appear here without wearing any clothes? " Are you insane?”
“I am sorry, I just can't find my clothes anymore, please can you help me with any clothes I can use to cover my nakedness, so I can go home, it's late already.”
“Youth these days live life recklessly, I am sure you went out with your boyfriend, can't you see the time? Anyway wait here, I will get you the spare clothes of my daughter, you both have the same body size.”
“Thank you very much, ma'am, I truly appreciate it.” She locked the door to get the clothes and I could hear her complaining.
I must say her daughter is lucky to still have a mom that can scold her at any time. I wish I got the same opportunity, I won't be a slave to the Golden brothers.
The lady came out and handed over her daughter's big shirt to me. I appreciated it, and she locked the door without saying thank you.
I wore the shirt, and it looks like a gown on me. This will do. I will be able to go home from here now and face the anger of the Golden brothers.
“I told her it will be nice.”
“I will start trusting you, Clara.” I let out a smile.
About heading home, I nearly forgot that my gifts, my bag, and phone were still in the woods. I complained about how to get there and come back forgetting what kind of powers I now possess.
In minutes, I got to the woods and got everything I needed, then I moved directly to the house.
If I intend to escape,I really have no place to go, and I also need to open the box my grandma left behind to see what it contains. Maybe it might tell me who I really am and why I was able to shift into a werewolf tonight.
I stood at the gate of the Golden brothers, I took a deep breath telling myself I can do this, no matter the punishment waiting for me in there, I am sure I can face them and explain to them, I slept off in the woods and I just woke up.
What will they do if they find out I am a werewolf? Will they treat me the same way, or let me go to find my mate for good?
Clara started jumping in excitement inside of me and same with me, I became happy unnecessary by the scent that filled the air, it was so strong.
“Our mate is here.” Clara said.
I can't believe my mate will appear today, I will check it out.
I rushed inside and opened the door, only to see that the long-awaited mate that would save me from the Golden brothers turned out to be the Golden brothers. My life is over for good, no one will save me, I have to remain here for life.
I fell to the ground and started crying immediately.
