Chapter 90

Mariam 

I realise I just called Alpha Aiden my father. What the hell is wrong with me? Why will I mix reality and dreams together?

"Clara, what will I do?" I asked her with my eyes closed, "You did nothing wrong, okay? He is the Alpha; it's normal if you call him dad."

"Yes,I made breakfast." He said that, and I opened my eyes and saw my favourite meal. I forgot for a moment that I am still recovering.

I ate the food like I was chased by a hungry lion: "Be careful so you don't choke up."

"Thank you very much, sir; this is tasty." I said I was enjoying the meal, and I know for sure I am going to finish everything.

"I made it." He said that, and I started coughing out so loudly that he gave me water.

"Clara,he made breakfast for us,the Almighty Alpha. Am I dreaming?"

"No, you are not. You deserve better, my dear. You have survived. It's time to enjoy your life with someone you can look up to as a dad figure."

"Thank you, Clara. I wonder where my real dad is. How can he abandon me just like that? It's so unfair; he didn't even bother to look for me."

"Do not ruin your mood, okay? Let's talk about your father some other time, okay?"

"Sure."

"I never knew you were a good cook. Thank you so much." I finished the entire meal, and the maid came to clear the place for me, and immediately he gave me my medication.

I guess if he goes to work again,I am going to face another trouble with his wife. How I wish I could go to work with him.

"How are you feeling now?" He asked me with care in his eyes.

"I feel much better now, sir."

"Good."

"Are you leaving for work now?"

"No,you are my newfound work, little one." I didn't know when my cheek turned red.

"I don't understand what you mean, Alpha."

"You look weak to me, and you can't trigger your healing. I want to train you to bring out the best in you." He said to me:

"Does that mean I am now a member of your pack?"

"Yes, you are." I jumped in excitement and hugged him, then a girl came in. She is probably around 15 or 16.

"Dad," she yelled.

"I guess this must be the Alpha daughter."

"Jane,you are back. Come here, my little pumpkin." He said it with a big smile on his face and hugged her.

"Yes, dad,we are on holiday, so you get to see more of my face. Just make sure you don't get bored with it."

"I will never get bored of my daughter; thank goodness you are here. This is Mariam. Mariam,  meet my daughter Jane." He said that, and I stretched forth my hands to shake her when she ignored me.

"Father, why are you here? I heard you even made breakfast for her?"

"Mariam, I will be right back. Elvis will be here to take you to the training hall." He said before leaving with his daughter,I guess he doesn't want her to be rude to me.

I really don't get it at all. She is just meeting me for the first time. She is hating me. Do I have a plague or something else?

The door opened, revealing Sophia. "Sophia,where have you been?"

"I am sorry. I was sent out for an errand, and now I am free,so I can be your personal maid again." She said it with a smile and came with fruits too.

"Okay, what's the fruit for?"

"Alpha Aiden told me to get you more fruits before breakfast. We were out of fruits, so I had to visit the grocery store to stock fresh fruits." She replied, and I smiled, telling her to join me so we could eat the fruits together.

Elvis came just like the Alpha said, and I walked with him to the training hall, where I saw old and young,male and female, receiving various training.

I can't wait to be strong in combat and then take my revenge on the Alphas.

"So tell me,what can you do as a wolf?" Beta Elvis was questioned.

"I can hear from a distance and also have the ability to control my hearing." I replied with a smile, but he looked surprised. I thought all wolves had the ability to hear.

"You mean you can pick on the conversation you wish to listen to?" He asked.

"Yes, but don't worry,I won't listen to any conversation going on here; I know what privacy means."

"That's great, but how? Let me see your wolf eyes?'"

I closed them and opened it. "You don't have the eyes, so how is it possible?" He kept asking, and I felt a little bit confused.

"I don't understand what you mean."

"Never mind,I will be training you for the very first time on how to defend yourself against the enemy." He said so, and I was happy.

He started the training with me, and I must say,I am as weak as a fly buzzing around.

Alpha Aiden came in and said, "Let me take a break by learning how to trigger my wolf healing.

"Close your eyes and connect with your wolf. Make sure you are both connected as one, then free yourself. Though it hurts, it will be better later on." He said this to me, and I nodded, trying to follow his instructions, but it didn't work.

"I guess I will never be able to do it." I added, and he calmed me by saying, "Rome was not built in one day; we just started day one of your training; you don't expect to get everything correctly today."

"Thank you so much." I enjoyed my time training, and I made a few friends as well, though I can tell they didn't like me. At least I get to talk about training with them.

It was time to go to my room to rest for the day. I noticed my room door was opened, and at first I thought it was the Queen, only to see for myself that it was Jane.

I got excited. Maybe she is here to be friends with me. "Hi Jane, it's good to have you in my room." I smiled at her.

"I should be telling you that this is my father's home and not yours; keep that in mind." She spoke to me rudely, and I just kept calm since she is the Alpha's daughter.

"Why are you here, if I may ask?" I questioned her, wanting to know her reason.

"I am here to ask you,when are you going to leave my home? I am sick of a face like yours, and my mother is not happy having you around." She asked, looking at me with hatred.

"I really don't know. I guess you will be seeing more of my face, and I am sure with time,we will become friends."

"Never in my life will I become friends with you. Now listen good. Leave by tomorrow. I don't ever wish to see you here."

"Enough, Jane. I won't tolerate this from you. I am older than you. You should show some respect, and I know this is your father's house. If you have a problem with me, then tell it to him. He brought me here, and I know you can just take me out of here." I yelled at her.

"You dare raise your voice at me? Do you have a death wish?" She asked with anger, and I smiled, saying, "You are just a kid; your threat won't work, and when next you want to come to my room,you wait for permission; if you will excuse me,kindly leave."

"You know what? You will regret ever talking to me in that manner." She said taking her leave.
