I couldn't sleep all night, the words of the Triplet kept playing in my head, they rejected me and will never let go of me.
I opened my eyes feeling a bit weak again,“Clara, are you awake?”
“Yes, I am Mariam.” She replied.
“What kind of person will reject someone and still don't want to let the person go?”
“I wish I could give an answer, but I really don't know, hopefully they change soon.” she said with full confidence and I laughed saying,“The Golden brothers can never change, that is one thing I know of.”
“Let's see how it goes, since he rejected you, if you are lucky enough, you will be granted a second chance mate.”
“Second chance mate? What do you mean by that, Clara?”
“If a wolf rejects his mate, it is likely for the rejected mate to get another opportunity to be with a new mate.”
“Do you think I will be that lucky?” I asked, getting off the bed.
“I think so, that's why I said let's see what awaits us in the future, you are still young.”
“Thank you for your encouragement, but I got to go now before Diesel yells my name.” I washed my face, coming out of the room to begin cleaning and making breakfast when I took note the brothers were not home.
This is unlike them, well that doesn't mean I will not make breakfast, so they won't use it as a yardstick to punish me when I return from school.
I prepared breakfast and dished it on the dining table as usual, I had mine and I got ready for school immediately.
I wanted to make use of my speed to school, but Clara said it's immature, I only use speed when it's necessary, so I took the bus to school.
I messaged Cindy to ask where she was then she told me she was at the library. Then I remembered an assignment given to us, oh damn it.
Likewise, I dashed to the library to meet her, and we took our seats and quickly rushed to doing the assignment before the class came up.
“I can't imagine I forgot to do my assignment.” I said to her, Cindy.
“We got carried away going out yesterday, why didn't you pick your call yesterday?”
“Something happened, but we will talk during lunch break.”
“Shhh, don't talk in the library.” The woman said, and we kept quiet immediately she left, we whispered to ourselves and when the lady turned to meet us again, we stood up saying,“We are about to leave.”
We laughed and stepped out heading to class together and I could hear some of the students who are werewolves saying something different about me.
“I thought she was a human, how can she smell like a werewolf?”
“She is really strange, you know, one day she is human, the other day she is a werewolf.”
“I heard she turned 18 yesterday, maybe she just met her wolf.”
They kept talking and I gave deaf ears.
We finished our first class, but the next class I needed to be separated from Cindy because we don't offer the course together.
I entered the class alone and my classmate gaze at me shows that they feel like throwing things at me.
“Hey, what's the name of your wolf pack?” One of the guys with bald hair inquired from me.
“I don't have a pack.” I replied.
“You are lying, right? Everyone belongs to a pack except you are an outcast.” He added again.
“Clara, why doesn't anyone believe me when I mention to them that I don't have a pack?”
“They think it's impossible for a werewolf not to have a pack, since the gene is passed from one of the parents to their children.”
“I wish I knew the pack my parents belong to, then I would be able to speak boldly of my pack.” I said to Clara.
“But you can also join a pack, you know.” Clara said to me.
“Really? I would love to join then, maybe the pack I join might be able to explain something's about me.” I was excited.
“I am not lying, if my mother were to be alive, maybe she would have told me about it.”
“Look at James, he lost his mother when he was given birth to, and he knows the pack he belongs to as well, your family all belongs to a pack ”
“No, you don't get, I really don't know, and I don't feel like going too deep about myself.”
“Okay, if you are interested, would you like to join the Lock Heart Pack? There is a run coming up, we have never won before, so we are training to win.”
“I will think about it.” I said.
“Okay.” The teacher walks in, and I feel so excited, I am going to belong to a pack now, oh yes.
The class lasted for forty minutes and I left only to see Cindy looking at me angrily.
“Why the face? What's happening?”
“I heard rumors going around the school that you are a werewolf, is it true or just rumors?”
“Oh shit.”
“So it's true, you told me you were human, how is it possible for you to be a werewolf? Have you been hiding the truth from me?” She questioned again.
“No, I am not, I really don't know how to say this, but I was shocked when I shifted into a wolf last night, even the Golden brothers are finding it really hard to believe as well.”
“So you are a werewolf, I still can't believe this, which pack do you belong to? Don't tell me you belong to the Golden brother's pack, in as much you work for them, I hate them for the way they bully you in school.” She rolled her eyes.
Yes, she knows about the bully, but I never told her about the part of them having sex with me, I can't let her involve herself, not when I know the witch has so many rules.
“No, I don't know the pack I belong to either, but guess what?”
“The Lock heart pack came to me, they wanted me to join their pack.”
“Oh yes, make sure you join, they are the nicest people so far, I heard so many good tales about them.” she added and knowing this, I think joining them is not a terrible idea.
“So tell me everything about your wolf, are you white, black,gray, red…”
“Hey Cindy, are you trying to use me as an experiment?”
“Oops my bad, I just can't control my emotions, my friend is a werewolf, have you told Dave and Elena?”
“Hell no, please don't tell them, you knowing is okay for me.”
“Sure, I need to go now, class starts the next five minutes.” She hugged me and dashed out.
Crazy girl!!
I collided with someone and she started apologizing to me.
“I am so sorry.” She helped me with my books.
“It's okay, thanks for helping me.”
“You are welcome.”
I was stunned for a moment when I noticed she had a striking resemblance to me.
“Who are you?” I questioned immediately and she is also a werewolf.
