Chapter 110: Are They Blushing?

Chapter 110: Are They Blushing?

Camilla

I ended up dressed in a pair of loose ripped jeans and a tan coloured hoodie that bagged on me. It was fleece lined and perfect for the weather considering that when Gregorio, Domenico and I walked downstairs. The many glass walls of their house went spotted with rain droplets, the sound of thunder echoing through the space.

Letting go of Gregorio's hand, I walked over to the glassed-in-patio, looking up and watching as the water splashed and bounced off the transparent roof. I never know why but there is just something about thunderstorms that I always find calming. The dark sky painted with streaks of lighting is beautiful and I soon find myself sitting down in the glass dome, staring upwards and letting myself relax.

No one bothered me as I curled up on the patio couch, allowing my mind to clear and my thoughts to be consumed by the sound of every fallen raindrops.

"Hey?" Gregorio's voice was heard, drawing my attention to him.

I had been so out of it and I hadn't even known he was here.

"Hi," I smile, sitting up slightly so he can sit down beside me.

"How are you feeling?" His voice sounded gentle as he spoke, moving my attention to the fact that his hands were full.

He draped a weighted blanket over my body as he offered a bowl of salted pretzels for us to share.

"I feel…. I am a little tired, I think."

I felt a little out of it right now but there isn't exactly anything wrong. I am probably just drained.

"That is normal to feel." He said, placing my legs over his thighs so I can spread out a little more.

"How about emotionally? It is okay if things feel a little off."

How did he know that? I remain silent though because I really don't know how to describe how I am feeling right now. I subconsciously saw him type something on his phone but I focused more on the bowl of pretzels in front of me.

Grabbing a handful and keeping them in my palm, I offered the bowl back to him but he declined with a shake of his head.

"Keep it," he smiled.

"Dinner will be ready soon anyways."

I nodded and returned his expression, my focus once again moving to the sound of rain falling around us. I sighed in contentment as I felt his hand rub up and down the sides of my legs and his touch making my head a little more clear.

"Gregorio?" I murmured, twisting my head to look at him ever so slightly.

"Yes?" He said, his eyes moving down to meet mine.

"Did Domenico kick you out of the kitchen just now?" The grin that appeared on his face showed I was right.

"Apparently, I wasn't cutting the vegetables in the right direction." He grumbled, his eyes bright as he took in my smile.

"Your company is much better anyways." He added with a wink.

"Really? Why is that?" I raised an eyebrow in amusement.

"Well, firstly, your tits are nicer to look at and secondly, you don't threaten to kick my ass every time I give them pointers."

A surprise laugh left my mouth at that, nearly choking on the pretzels I was eating.

"Do I even want to know what you give them pointers on?" I asked, sitting up slightly to see him easier.

"No, you really don't." Domenico smiled, walking onto the patio with a hot cup of coffee in his hand.

My mouth watered at the smell of it, silently praying it was for me. Luckily, it was for me and I instantly threw myself upwards gratefully accepting the mug from him as it was offered to me.

"Easy, you are going to burn your tongue." Gregorio said as I didn't waste a second before taking a large sip of the hot coffee.

"It is worth it if I can clear my headache sooner." I responded, sighing as the caffeine worked its way into my system.

"I thought you said you were feeling okay." Gregorio said, shifting a bit and tugging a stray piece of hair behind my ear.

"I am, just that the painkiller hasn't kicked in yet."

I was surprised that I felt a little agitated when he was only checking on me but I tried to push it off to the side.

"Whatever you are making smells great." I shifted my focus to Domenico, inhaling a breath of a combination of flavors.

"Adriano is just prepping some final things in the kitchen. It is chicken parmigiana you are smelling right now."

My stomach quietly grumbled in interest and whatever I was feeling before promptly fading away entirely.

Well, thanks again for the coffee." I smiled, taking another large sip.

"I feel a little soiled from how well you all are treating me."

"It is not a big deal but you are welcome."

I just gave a small nod in response, lifting myself slightly to give Domenico a kiss on the cheek. I smiled as the slight layer of stubble on his face grazed my cheek before pulling back and doing the same to Gregorio.

I could hear the faint sound of Adriano working in the kitchen but my eyes snapped to the small layer of pink that had formed on both men's cheeks. Oh my goodness, are they blushing? I couldn't believe it but when they tried to brush it off, it only made my smile grow wider.

Would I have thought that I could find these men cute?

Just as I moved to call them on their bullshit, Adriano's voice came from the kitchen, announcing that dinner was ready and on the table. None of us seemed to be in the mood to wait, our hunger guiding us to the dining room in under twenty seconds.

"Are you two blushing?" Adriano asked, already seated at the table and pulling out a chair for me to sit on beside him.

I couldn't stifle my small laugh as both Domenico and Gregorio simultaneously told their brother to shut up. I just smiled as I sat down with Adriano, the remaining two ending up right across us with just as delicious plates of food steaming on a place mat.

"I am in love with whoever taught you both how to cook." I said, instantly reaching out for the cutlery while eyeing the chicken breast in front of me.

Gregorio quietly hummed in agreement as Adriano placed a napkin under his glass of water.

"When we were growing and our father was away from work, our mother used to sneak us into the kitchen every day after school to teach us new recipes." Adriano began.

"It all started with simple things like brownies but by the time we were teenagers, Domenico and I were better cooks than half the hired chefs in our household."

I smiled at the image of them as a young boy, running around with food in their hands as they tried to prepare something new.

"That is amazing." I said as I cut into a piece of my chicken covered in sauce and cheese.

"Even as an adult, I am a lousy cook and I am an even worse baker."

I wasn't surprised at all when a lot of different flavors burst along my tongue as I raised my fork to my mouth. Adriano proved how skilled he is in the kitchen.

"At least I am not the only one." Gregorio chuckled, the corner of his eyes crinkling in amusement.

"But where were you when your brothers were learning how to cook?" I directed my question to Gregorio.

"Because I wasn't destined to learn how to cook." I rolled my eyes at him.

The conversation is making me realize just how little I truly know about these men but I like getting to learn these parts of them growing up. I just know Domenico probably outsmarted everyone in school, Gregorio likely got into a lot of trouble but could always charm his way out of it. And Adriano, I really don't know what to think about him.

"I know we have never really spoken about it before but is family discussion off limits or…?"

It doesn't even have to be family but I feel like I know everything and nothing about them.

"You are always welcome to ask us anything, darling." Domenico said, giving me a small smile.

"We might not always have an answer but how you tell us what is on your mind at the start."

I knew I would likely have to offer things in return but unlike most people in my life, I surprisingly felt comfortable with the idea of sharing my personal parts of me with my men.

"I just figured out that since things were feeling a little more serious, it would make more sense to know more than the fact that you were all successful, fairy stubborn men with a soft spot for dark chocolate." I grinned and took another bite as they all looked at me.

"How do you know about chocolate?" Adriano asked, poking my side under the side teasingly.

"Because every time you bring some for me after a scene, I find all of you taking a piece as well and moaning as if it is the best thing you have ever tasted." I giggled at their horribly strewn denial.

"We don't," Gregorio said in mock offense, cutting into his chicken.

"I think we all know that only one taste has us moaning and it sure as hell isn't chocolate."

It didn't take me long at all before I flushed at his innuendo, though I suppose I did kind of set him up for it. For once, I couldn't think of any quip remarks so I decided to redirect back to my original thoughts.

"Well, what else do you like? I am sure you have hobbies?" I asked Gregorio.
