Chapter twelve: She Is Beautiful

Chapter twelve: She Is Beautiful

Adriano

Before I could even say anything, Domenico was already chasing her and I had no doubt that he was going to catch her but there were still the issues of the mess we made.

"Call our men to get them to clean this up immediately?"

"On it, boss." Gregorio responded.

I turned to Nancy, I looked at her up and down, checking one again for any injuries.

"Are you sure you are okay?"

"Yes, but the girl…"

"Don't worry about her, Domenico probably has her already and it won't be long before she will be dealt with." I said before realizing my mistake.

"Dealt with?" She said, raising her voice a little.

"Adriano, you are not killing her." I knew she wouldn't like that.

"Come on, let's get you inside. It is cold here." I reach my hand out, trying to avoid this conversation.

"Being in the wrong place at the wrong time does not give you the right to kill her."

She is right but we didn't become the strongest gang in the country by allowing witnesses to a murder to go running their mouths to the press.

"Why don't you head up to your room, we will meet you there in a bit." I said, trying to get her out of here.

I don't know how we were going to deal with this girl but it is likely not going to be something I find to be enjoyable. I am a cruel and sadistic man who is responsible for more deaths than I can count but I have never liked killing innocent ones. That is one thing that even my father wasn't able to beat out of me.

"Don't you try to shove me off to the side, Adriano. I will go back to my room right now but you are going to go after Domenico and personally ensure that no harm comes to that girl, did you hear me? You have your connection, you know you can keep her quiet in a less violent way and you are going to do just that."

Looks like she is back to her usual self already.

"Now go, she has done nothing so far but see something she wasn't supposed to."

"Listen, you don't…."

"No you listen, the police weren't called, none of your resources were wasted and your father will never have to find out about this. No harm is done, oh and don't think I missed the way you looked at her because I didn't."

I ignored her and opened the back door and allowed her to move inside.

"I mean it, Adriano." She warned before walking towards the elevator.

"I know," I muttered under my breath.

Allowing the heavy metal door to shut and return back to the scene. It was now swarmed with members of our clean up crew.

"Gregorio," I called as I passed him before moving into a light jog around the building.

I expected to see them right around the corner yet to my surprise, I was the only one here. Where the hell are they?

I continued walking along the wall and ended up at the front of the hotel and next to the entrance where Domenico stood, alone.

"What the fúck happened?"

Turning his head to my direction with his mask off, I remember that I am still wearing mine. I removed it and shoved it back into its original place in my pocket.

"Turns out that the tiny thing knows how to run and fight."

What? I have no doubt that it is possible for her to be fast but to catch a guy like him off guard is damn near impossible.

Moving to stand by his side, I noticed what he was looking at through the glass door. The beautiful woman from earlier was leaning against the front desk, talking to the receptionist in fast and short breath. Even though I should be panicked at the fact that she is spilling everything she just witnessed through that perfect mouth of hers, I wasn't.

I was more focused on the sight before me that has the power to bring every man and woman to their knees. She is currently leaning her weight over the front desk, causing her round ass to push out slightly. Trailing my gaze up her thick thighs and the curve of her hips, I take in every section of her body. A few strands of her hair have fallen loose from her bun and now rest against her back.

"She is beautiful." Domenico said, taking the words straight from my mouth.

"She has got a fiery personality too, she put up a good fight and then proceeded to elbow me in the stomach before running away."

Fúck! He really shouldn't have told me that because now I want her even more.

"What are you doing? Please I dropped my phone outside so I need you to call the police." I heard her frantic voice, telling the receptionist.

The woman at the front looked at where my brother and I stood, looking for guidance. She knows we would kill her if she were to defy us so she won't do anything until we give the go ahead order.

Nodding my head to the woman, I allowed her to call the police. We practically own them anyway so while it is going to be a pain in my ass, nothing will come of it.

"Move," Domenico said, shoving both of us to the side wall out of view from those in the building.

Peaking my head slightly through the door, carefully not to trigger its automatic opening feature. I saw the girl is now looking outside with a confused look on her face. Under the light, l can see the dark circles around her bright eyes. Gosh, it looks like she hasn't slept in days.

"How did you know that she was going to turn around?" I asked my brother who was also watching her.

"She transferred her weight to the back of her heels for where it was initially on her toes. She also moved her hands slightly from where they rested on the counter to an easier position for her to twist her body towards the door."

Like I said, he reads body language. That is probably why he is such a good dominant too, he always knows what people want even when they don't know it themselves.

With her back now to us again, I don't have to be like Domenico to see the way she physically relax at the sight of the receptionist calling the police.

"There you are, l was looking for you two. Wait, where is the girl…."

Gregorio walks beside us but his words were cut off when he saw her inside the hotel. She was now sitting down in the lounge area at the front.

"How did this happen?" He asked.

"She is faster and very strong than she looks." Domenico answered grumpily but with a hint of admiration as well.

This makes Gregorio smile for a split second before it drops, realizing what this means. No one gets away from us ever yet here is this tiny thing who has not only defied us from the first moment we saw her but is still alive to tell the story.

"This isn't good." Gregorio said.

He was right but I don't want to think about it, not yet.

"Is the scene cleared up because the police are on their way?"

"Yes, but what the hell are we going to do about this girl? How are you not freaking out right now?"

"She is tired." Domenico voiced out.

"Tell the police to tell her that she is sleep deprived and hallucinations are a common side effect of it. She will go to the doctor, get some medicine to help her sleep for the next week and then move on with her life."

"We can't just let her move on with her life and you know it." I counted.

"She may be nice to look at but she saw Nancy's face and hit Domenico and now has got the police involved. We will obviously just pay them off but word about this will get out and we can't have others thinking that one girl was able to defy people like us and get away with it."

"We should be killing her." Gregorio added.

"I know that…." The sounds of police sirens cut our conversation short.

"Gregorio, go through the back and head to Nancy's room. We will meet up with you once we are done. Domenico, I need you to talk to the police and make sure they know their place. I overheard her saying that she dropped her phone out here, so I am going to find it."

In agreements we all split off to complete our individual tasks. Turning around the corner, I know I don't have much time until the police are here, searching the scene. With only the glow of the side lights of the hotel, I began my search for her phone. I really need to get Gregorio to find her name for us so I can address her as more than just she and the girl.

I imagine she would have stayed fairly close to the wall of the hotel when running since it is the quickest way back to the entrance. It really doesn't take me long to find it. Domenico must have grabbed her phone before she went around the corner based on where it rested. On the ground was a small phone with a clear case to protect the rose gold outside.

Picking up the phone, I surprisingly find it undamaged and in working condition. On the screen is a picture of our mystery girl with a man hugging her from behind. I am assuming he is her boyfriend, she seems a lot happier in this photo than the girl I saw today in the lobby. I wondered what had happened? What could have happened other than the fact that she saw someone get killed of course.
